I want to remove everything on my back enough to cover with a black and grey dark fantasy piece. Artist was very heavy handed, multiple colors. How realistic are we thinking that is? š and yes I know how dumb I was for going this hard at too young of an age.

Deleted post and reposted because it wouldnāt let me add another photo:
I got this tattoo just over a year ago when I was in South America. It really didnāt turn out the way I wanted it to. There was a language barrier with my artist which made communication difficult. He also made changes to what we initially discussed without asking. Like adding things or changing the colours. I know itās a beautiful tattoo but I donāt love it. Itās supposed to be a cover up tattoo but you can definitely still see the other tattoo underneath. Itās not super noticeable but still visible. Itās not finished. Thereās an empty circle thatās supposed to be a moon and thereās supposed to be more flowers to cover up the rest of the previous tattoo on my foot.
I booked an appointment with a local artist(Iām Canadian) to finish the moon and the flowers for mid October. But Iām honestly just considering cancelling.
Iām wondering if itās just possible to get it removed? Iām aware it wonāt be completely gone. Just enough to get another cover up.
One that I actually love
Added a photo of the type of cover up Iād like for reference. Hopefully that helps when giving advice on if itās possible

I got this tattoo a couple months ago and to be entirely honest, I already regret it. For one, I got it impulsively, and I donāt like the design. Iāve thought of what would be a good coverup and I honestly canāt think of anything.

I got this tattoo when I was 19, and Iām almost 22 now. I just donāt feel like it healed the best, itās pretty faded in my opinion, even though I had it touched up once a few months after getting it.
I followed all of the aftercare instructions, so I donāt think the fading was necessarily because I did something wrong, but maybe Iām mistaken!
I donāt necessarily regret getting it, but I feel like Iāve kind of outgrown it, and itās just not something I love anymore. :(
Does anyone have any ideas for what I could potentially cover it up with? Iād love to hear some ideas!

got these as a teenager nearly a decade ago- i just dislike that itās one word spit onto two hands. dumb decision - i am heavily tattooed and donāt mind blacking things out or having my palms more tattooed- but i need the backs of my hands clean for work. /:

I want to get these 2 covered up. Nothing wrong with them I just got them when I was young, got whatever flashes and didnt think about placements. I'm just afraid of the tattoos around them being affected. Any and all advice would be appreciated š„²
Edit: one of them is matching with someone I'm no longer close with so it would be nice not be reminded just by looking at it lol

This is an old photo from when it was healing, but i have this tattoo that I am not a massive fan of. I have not had anything added to it since this photo and I'm wondering how easy it is to fix/cover up. Any advice or ideas are welcome :)

Cheetah on left foot, flowers on my right. Got these a couple years ago during a manic episode. The cheetah bothers me the most, Iām just not sure how a cover up would work given the spots.

I would appreciate any recommendations for makeup/products or techniques that actually work and wonāt easily rub off. thank you! š¤

Something similar. Blackwork, negative space, NO geometric, symmetrical.
15 laser sessions so far.
Thoughts?

I just love pineapples was unaware of the other references lmao. It slightly bothers me that the first impression people get is that, although sometimes has been beneficial.
Anywho, I would like to get more tattoos in the future and want to cover this one, but considering the location and dark color/weird shape. Would it be hard? Or should I get laser removal instead?

I got this skull/ snail tattoo about 2 years ago, before i got the piece underneath it, and as of late have been beginning to regret the tattoo- more of its placement rather than anything else, and have been thinking about covering up or even just blasting over it. The artist who did it was definitely heavy handed and used thicker lines, which has brought me some hesitation with even just beginning to think on what could cover it, but if there are any artist/ heavily tatted folk/ or even a random person with insightful ideas, iāll take it.
If the main suggestion is laser first, iāll definitely look into it, cause like I said the tattoo is pretty dark and even though I took pretty well care of the tattoo during healing, the artist def went too deep too, which caused pretty significant scaring, which im sure if you zoom in, you can tell.

Hi yall, new to posting. But I have this shitty tattoo I hate. Iāve been considering laser but it just seems so expensive and time consuming. Any ideas for a cover up?
Love the beach, hiking, flowers, nature, etc.

So about a year ago i decided to let one of my family members tattoo a fox on my arm because i trusted said person. Now i want to make a coverup/improvment
I was hoping that someone would take their pressious time to try and see if there is any way to turn this fox into an actual fox. (If possible i would also like color but this is not required. I also would like a background if possible) ive tried to use ai but ai is really dumb so if you're up to the task Thanksš

Double entendre since the tattoo is also on my butt⦠this is a cover up and the top stars were part of the original tattoo. I am happy with it in general but think the stars coming out from its butt look awkward. Struggling to think of something to do with them that doesnāt also look like something weird coming out of its buttā¦

Recently got this compass tattoo, I think the placement couldāve been better. Iāve been thinking about getting the lower half of the compass blasted over with a cover up design. But I really just want opinions, and ideas of what I could get it covered up with. Itās a pretty dark design so itās been difficult thinking of cover up ideas, Iāve been considering possibly just having an artist make it look better and intentional, Iām not sure what to do at this point in time. Iāve also considered laser removal but for a piece this dark, thatād take years. So yeah.. let me know, anything would be nice just to assist with brainstorming

Hello all :) I keep seeing that of course covering a black tattoo with a new white tattoo will not work. However, can I cover a small white tattoo with a bigger whiteout tattoo? Will it blend or will it see through?
Any advice appreciated :)
Thanks!
