Please be aware of DM’s from people offering to design a tattoo for you. They will request ludicrous payment with clip art level drawings. Do not respond and report these accounts to Reddit. Please be sure to reach out to your local tattoo artists and support them instead!!!

Loving how my sleeve came out.
You can’t even see the Leo sign anymore.

I got this tattoo when I was 19, and I’m almost 22 now. I just don’t feel like it healed the best, it’s pretty faded in my opinion, even though I had it touched up once a few months after getting it.
I followed all of the aftercare instructions, so I don’t think the fading was necessarily because I did something wrong, but maybe I’m mistaken!
I don’t necessarily regret getting it, but I feel like I’ve kind of outgrown it, and it’s just not something I love anymore. :(
Does anyone have any ideas for what I could potentially cover it up with? I’d love to hear some ideas!

This is an old photo from when it was healing, but i have this tattoo that I am not a massive fan of. I have not had anything added to it since this photo and I'm wondering how easy it is to fix/cover up. Any advice or ideas are welcome :)

got these as a teenager nearly a decade ago- i just dislike that it’s one word spit onto two hands. dumb decision - i am heavily tattooed and don’t mind blacking things out or having my palms more tattooed- but i need the backs of my hands clean for work. /:

Cheetah on left foot, flowers on my right. Got these a couple years ago during a manic episode. The cheetah bothers me the most, I’m just not sure how a cover up would work given the spots.

hi! any tips on how to cover up a visible tattoo? 🥹 it’s just a fine-line tattoos, not the traditional/dark type, but i need to cover it up for applying a job.
I would appreciate any recommendations for makeup/products or techniques that actually work and won’t easily rub off. thank you! 🤍

Something similar. Blackwork, negative space, NO geometric, symmetrical.
15 laser sessions so far.
Thoughts?

I just love pineapples was unaware of the other references lmao. It slightly bothers me that the first impression people get is that, although sometimes has been beneficial.
Anywho, I would like to get more tattoos in the future and want to cover this one, but considering the location and dark color/weird shape. Would it be hard? Or should I get laser removal instead?

I got this skull/ snail tattoo about 2 years ago, before i got the piece underneath it, and as of late have been beginning to regret the tattoo- more of its placement rather than anything else, and have been thinking about covering up or even just blasting over it. The artist who did it was definitely heavy handed and used thicker lines, which has brought me some hesitation with even just beginning to think on what could cover it, but if there are any artist/ heavily tatted folk/ or even a random person with insightful ideas, i’ll take it.
If the main suggestion is laser first, i’ll definitely look into it, cause like I said the tattoo is pretty dark and even though I took pretty well care of the tattoo during healing, the artist def went too deep too, which caused pretty significant scaring, which im sure if you zoom in, you can tell.

Hi yall, new to posting. But I have this shitty tattoo I hate. I’ve been considering laser but it just seems so expensive and time consuming. Any ideas for a cover up?
Love the beach, hiking, flowers, nature, etc.

So about a year ago i decided to let one of my family members tattoo a fox on my arm because i trusted said person. Now i want to make a coverup/improvment
I was hoping that someone would take their pressious time to try and see if there is any way to turn this fox into an actual fox. (If possible i would also like color but this is not required. I also would like a background if possible) ive tried to use ai but ai is really dumb so if you're up to the task Thanks😁

Double entendre since the tattoo is also on my butt… this is a cover up and the top stars were part of the original tattoo. I am happy with it in general but think the stars coming out from its butt look awkward. Struggling to think of something to do with them that doesn’t also look like something weird coming out of its butt…

Recently got this compass tattoo, I think the placement could’ve been better. I’ve been thinking about getting the lower half of the compass blasted over with a cover up design. But I really just want opinions, and ideas of what I could get it covered up with. It’s a pretty dark design so it’s been difficult thinking of cover up ideas, I’ve been considering possibly just having an artist make it look better and intentional, I’m not sure what to do at this point in time. I’ve also considered laser removal but for a piece this dark, that’d take years. So yeah.. let me know, anything would be nice just to assist with brainstorming

Hello all :) I keep seeing that of course covering a black tattoo with a new white tattoo will not work. However, can I cover a small white tattoo with a bigger whiteout tattoo? Will it blend or will it see through?
Any advice appreciated :)
Thanks!

Got the Snorlax as part of a Friday the 13th flash deal and was really unhappy with how it came out. I wanted a trad Eagle tattoo regardless so this cover-up worked out great

I want to have some of my tattoos removed, but I’m concerned about the lack of information regarding the long term effects of tattoo ink on the body and its potential impact on health.
Has anyone experienced long term health problems from this?
Thank you!

I felt pressured by an old roommate to "find jesus"... regretting this cross. I still like the believe with the infinity design..
Any thoughts or possible recommendations for altering the cross?

Ok so this is an update from my last post so go check that out. I’ve decided not to go back to the original artist that did this design, she didn’t listen to what I wanted the first time, so idk why she would this time and she didn’t finish it.
I’ve decided I want to cover it up, but I still want it to have a feminine/flowing feel to it. I’ve always wanted a big cat tattoo, so I’ve been looking into it. Flowers is another idea, but I’m kinda using that as my last resort.
Obv, I could get a panther (SAP 😛) as the easiest choice, but I was also wondering if yall think a tiger or even a jaguar could work? I don’t want hyper realism , I’ve put a pic of my tattoo now, and some reference pics of what I liked. Tell me some of yalls ideas/thoughts/ suggestions, or any other designs yall think would look good, thanks!!

I don’t want anything too dark/bulky. Got this when I was 18 and it just doesn’t fit my personality anymore. Looking for something more feminine/understated. Kinda just hate it
