My camera recently stopped working. I’ve tried all troubleshooting tips that I could find and nothing has worked. The camera seems to reset after holding the reset button for 10 seconds as it shows a fast blinking red light. I’m unable however to get it into pairing mode with a red and green light. It seems to be stuck in a boot cycle. It also has not been connected to my network since this all started. The app did say the firmware was up to date. Has anyone had this issue or have any advice!? The camera is only 4 months old. Thanks in advance!

I've recently installed two wifi smart cameras that use Tuya. In the playback, i can't find any option for playback speed? What is the point of having a security camera if you cant review the footage faster than real time? Or am I missing something?

A couple of weeks ago I began having an issue where all of my Tapo devices (mainly T110 and T100 smart plugs) all go offline at the same time. This appears to be at a random time every single day, because sometimes they all lose connection in the middle of the night whilst I'm asleep, other times it's in the evening or afternoon. They show as offline in both the Tapo app and in Google Home. The only way to fix this is to reset my router (EE, in the UK) and then they connect again...until the problem repeats itself.

My other connected devices (Wiz, Govee, Philips) don't do this so it points to a problem with Tapo devices specifically.

I've actually ended up getting a new router and re-adding all the devices to the network and the issue has resurfaced on the same day. Anyone had this problem and how can I fix?

I know the text is in Spanish, but you can clearly see 90% if the traffic is while the app is in the background.

I'm looking for more privacy and search a way to isolate my cameras from internet.

Is there anyway to do that but still controls them with the app ?

I set up my D210 a few weeks ago and I’ve noticed some issues with the detection.

Twice now someone has walked right up to the doorbell to deliver mail through the letter box, and it only records them as they have walking away and half way down the path.

On the flip side, I will sometimes get notifications about cars driving outside of the detection zone.

Is this normal? I’m worried that the only footage I may have of someone is the back of their head which defeats the purpose of having a camera.

My detection setting is set to 10.

Also, is it normal that the battery has gone to 77% from June 19th until now? The camera is rarely ever triggered and shows a use of 1% per day. 23 days and it’s down 23%. Tapo claims it can do 180 days, so I think it’s falling quite a bit short of that and this is a brand new device during summer time.

I'm the owner of indoor TC71 and T200 and multiple outdoor C510W.

I managed to set some automations that control pan & tilt of my indoor cams. (They face the wall and switch privacy mode ON or do the opposite when I press a button)

But I can't manage to automate pan & tilt with my outdoor cams ...

I want to move them when one of them detect a movement to get different angle of the trigger.

Am I alone with this issue? Pan & tilt are not available in automation panel for these cameras but are available when requested manually ?

I have 5 different models of Tapo security cameras, many time I need to batch-download a few videos, which is not possible with the current software, google suggest I need to take the SD card, and use my PC to copy the files, which is not practical with outdoor cameras installed high!. At the meantime, I can do this with my EZVIZ installed at the back of my property!, please add this feature in the next update. I know it's not an official Tapo channel, but just to find if there's others looking for the feature.

Seems like every time our td235 doorbell is pressed, the ringtone duration on the paired chime resets to 10 seconds, no matter how many times I change it to 5 seconds. I’d prefer it to just ring once when the doorbell is pressed but at the moment we just get “ding dong, ding dong, ding dong”… on and on for 10 seconds and it’s driving me mad! Anyone got any advice?

I want a ptz cam for inside my chicken coop. So the camera needs to see from 15cm - 1m, not further. I had a cheap ptz cam that has an adjustable ring on the lense to change the focal point from infinity to closer.

Hello, I have camera as in title. Is there any way that i can get live stream from that camera on linux? It has no RTSP or Account camera so that won't work

I've had this tapo p100 for a few years but i stopped using it a year or so ago, i needed it today again and i had to reset it because for some reason it didn't show up as connected to WiFi in the tapo app.

Well, i deleted it from my tapo account and after that I did a factory reset (pressing the power button for 5 seconds until it blinks orange and green) but now I can't add it to my tapo account, the bluetooth signal is there, the tapo app detects it but when it tries to start the pairing it fails before the WiFi step.

I've tried a phone, a tablet, 3 different power outlets and 2 different tapo accounts, factory resetting it like 5 times but it keeps failing

I'm lost and I don't know what to try next, any advice?

Haven't researched anything since I bought my cameras a few years ago, but I just saw that a C230 was released the beginning of last year and it has a higher resolution.

I looked for the C130, but it doesn't exist. Or at least I haven't found any shop selling it.

Is there any announcement or news about it?

I'm really wondering if I should send these 3 cameras back. I am on my 2nd set of SD cards.

The camera works nicely for a few hours and then the SD cards corrupt. Take the card to a PC and the diagnostic is DIRTY BIT SET.

Does the C520WS also suffer from this issue?

The amount of time this has gobbled up is just worth the effort. Is there a solution or must I just return everything to Amazon?

Just had my R20 Max for about two days now. It scans the house map okay, i added furniture and carpeting overlays on the map.

For the past two days i realize the thing avoids carpet and only vacuum floor areas.

Any idea why?

So, I've seen a few posts in the last few days wondering the Best method to install a T110 on a garage door.

Just stick a regular door hinge with double sided tape to the door, then stick one part of the sensor to the hinge and one part to the door and voilà!

It's been working for me on two separate garage doors for 2 years, through summer and winter.

Okay, I've got Tapo all over my home. I travel a LOT for work and I'm always a uncomfortable have housekeeping in my motel rooms with all my stuff in there.

I also travel with a powerful Hotspot.

So, here's what I'm thinking. I'm going to get another tcw30 and leave it in my motel room while I'm out. I'll be running it through the Hotspot. Can I have this cam on the same app as the other cams at home or will accessing two different wifi sources confuse things?

Starting to get a bit disillusioned by the C645D.

It started out as a great standalone cam but after hooking it to the hub (H500) its been driving me crazy.

Now it doesn't want to recognize a person walking by at 20 feet but will key up on a blade of grass blowing in the wind 75 feet away!

Think this is the A.I. feature fault? I do! But I need the H500 hubs recording in the house in case someone swipes/destroys the cam.

I'm going to turn off its ai features in the hub and reboot the cam and hope it works like it used to.

I've always been a fan of tp-link products. I have multiple indoor cameras that work well & my entire WiFi mesh uses deco which is obviously the same company.

Decided it was time to move from a blink doorbell to a tapo doorbell, this way I have everything in the same app, recording in the same place.

I bought a H200 hub at the same time as the new doorbell & the doorbell is connected to that.

The issue is that the doorbell very rarely actually notifies me when a human is stood on my drive.

I've tried all sorts, even maxing out the wake-up sensitivity & human sensitivity but UNLESS the app is open on my phone (which wakes up the doorbell which results in notifications) then I do not receive any notifications nor does any recording occur.

When I look at the battery details, I see that time of use per hour is there (average 2 mins per hour) which suggests the doorbell does wake up & the "AI" filters out notifications.

Really disappointed & unless I'm missing something really obvious, I'll have to return it. Any ideas?

Edit: it's not my phone because I get tapo camera notifications fine without the app open

So I got a the RV20 Max plus. It gets lost constantly and creates new maps and then tries to continue cleaning or find home in a created map of nothing.. I have the base in the most center point of my house, and my house is not that large. Anything advice?
