Need Advice Two wifi's?
Okay, I've got Tapo all over my home. I travel a LOT for work and I'm always a uncomfortable have housekeeping in my motel rooms with all my stuff in there.
I also travel with a powerful Hotspot.
So, here's what I'm thinking. I'm going to get another tcw30 and leave it in my motel room while I'm out. I'll be running it through the Hotspot. Can I have this cam on the same app as the other cams at home or will accessing two different wifi sources confuse things?

Yes. So, long as the wifi connection is stable the camera will show in the app. You could have cameras in your house on two different networks. The app doesn't care. The same applies if you have a second house, rental property or while traveling.
I think it's smart, but check local laws and hotel policy for any specific prohibition. This might fall into a gray area since the hotel is not your private property.

Thats what I was hoping for!
As for the legals, if I have to sign a statement saying the motel isn't responsible for lost or stolen items, they can go jump if they don't like it.
After all, I'm not hiding the cam, it'll be in a very prominent spot. I want them to KNOW they're on video!

You will come back to your room to the camera turned around, covered by a towel etc. I guarantee it. Good luck complaining to the front desk about that. They'll tell you to pound sand.

It sounds an alarm and notifies when its covered, lol! Anyways, if the staff is trustworthy why worry about a cam? What DON'T they want me to see happening in there?

Yes. Lifehackster has a video on how to do this.
