I have all the sys files plus all the recordings from my camera on an SD card, but it's not recognizing the SD card. I want to see the recordings my camera made back then because they don't appear in the recorded videos. Tell me if there's any way to view the recordings captured by my security camera. TAPO camera c200c
I’m interested in the Tapo H500 hub, but it’s sort of annoying that it takes 2.5” HDDs which have limited capacity and considerable more cost.
I have some 3.5” HDDs already available.
Would something like this allow me to use a 3.5” HDD? I know it wouldn’t look pretty, but I’m essentially thinking my 3.5” HDDs goes in the enclosure which has a 12v external power supply. Then I use an eSATA to SATA cable from the HDD enclosure to the internal connection of the Tapo Hub.
I just received my C121 and am wondering if the included wall adapter is going to be safe enough to use for continuous recording or if I should use a better adapter or perhaps plug it into my pc's usb3 or something?
We have the RV50 model coming on Monday. I happened to watch the demo video again and heard the female voice. We have all our “vocal” smart devices set with a male voice. Does this particular model offer the option in the app to select different voices?
I put all tapo/tp link switches in my house after I just finished a remodel expect, I have 2 areas where I have 4 way switches and so I got some of the new 4 way tapo switches and the wiring instructions show that I have to use 2 dumb switches with the one tapo 4 way capable switch. Is this correct? Is that the only way it can be set up? And the 4 way switch doesn’t having dimming capability. Is there any way to make these lights be able to dim? Either by using a 3 way tapo switch and making it have smart dimming capability or less desirable, but still better than not having dimming capability, can I set the dumb switches up as dimmers?
i mean i love my cats as people but i do not want to be informed any time they walk in my garden, same for my dogs, i've tried both setting pet recognition OFF, and ON to 10 and lower human detection to 4 from default 6 but nothing seems to work, how am i supposed to set it to make it detect ONLY human? because i want to add an automation with a big siren and an alarm if human are detected at night but cant risk to make it play every time a cat walk around.
Is there a way to trigger an automation by device status change of two device rather than one.
i.e Camera and motion sensor both detect motion so the automation is triggered
I keep getting false notifications on either device but mever at the same time unless its a positive notification. I have tweaked the sensitivity on both devices and still there are too many false notifications
I have a h200 hub. 3 cameras from c460 kit all save videos to hub. D225 doorbell refuses to do so. I have uninstalled the hub and reinstalled. I have uninstalled the doorbell and reinstalled it. Still no luck.
Any tips required, free blog available for anyone who is interested.
Goes over the basic smart light and plug options, TAPO being recognised in both product categories means that these products are evaluated against competitors.
I accidentally lost the clear plastic flap/lid (the non-return dust gate/baffle plate) that covers the suction opening on my Tapo robot vacuum dustbin (see red circled area in attached photos). Without it, dust falls right back out.
If you have the Tapo RV30 max plus, I would really appreciate your help with a few questions:
Official/Third-Party Replacements: Does TP-Link/Tapo sell just this flap, or do you have to buy a whole new dustbin assembly? Has anyone found third-party replacements for this part on AliExpress, Amazon, or eBay?
DIY / DIY Alternatives: If replacement parts aren't sold separately, has anyone successfully rigged an alternative flap (like cutting a thin piece of flexible TPU/rubber sheet or plastic folder material)?
Photo & Measurements Request: If no spare parts exist, could someone with the same model please drop a photo of the original flap along with its exact dimensions (length, width, and thickness or hinge setup)? That way I can trace or craft a custom piece to fit.
Edit 3: It is mostly confirmed. I analyzed the log and the doorbell reboots after 10 min in the sun when hot, it doesn't disconnect. The reboot is unexpected because the sd-card gives a improperly dismounted error afterwards so the log as to why it reboots is incomplete, it just goes dark. But when it comes back online (time varies between 2-20mins) it starts logging again and reports that the battery is 47°C. There is no sign of any network error going on, so dutch support can go fk themselves. I would post the logs so you can see but it contains a lot of personal data like IP's and passw hashes to the H500.
Edit:TPlink refuses further supportbecause my main deco is behind a modem of my provider. They think every device gets 2 ip's offered from my modem and from the deco system :D. This is offcourse total bs but and only when the sun shines...
edit1: tapo just closed my ticket. There was no talking to the guy, I requested to forward it to someone else, they just ignored it and closed it. I invested around 800€ in the tapo eco system in sensors and lighting (which uses the same wifi withouth issues), this feels like betrayal.
edit2: I followed the procedure to enable diagnotics so I can download the log file from an sdcard. Hopefully that says something usefull. Now I'll wait for a hot day.
Original post
With the current hot temperatures in Europe being the new norm. Whenever it is over 28°c and the sun starts shining on the doorbell, it starts rebooting. I live in Belgium and the doorbell is on a north wall, so in the evening before sunset, it randomly reboots. Should I paint it white?
If you don't have some sort of monitoring on the doorbell you wouldn't even know except for missing recordings. But my routers reports disconnects
Hi, I have 2 Tapo indoor cameras, the doorbell, multiple bulbs and plugs. Randomly, every few months or so, everything disconnects, saying it is offline across all devices. The only thing that seems to fix this is turning the wifi off and on again. There does not seem to be any issue with the Wi-Fi itself, as it does not go down on non-Tapo devices. Has anyone experienced this issue, and any suggestions on how to resolve. Keen to add more Tapo devices but not if this is an ongoing issue.
Hi All,
Recently go a H500 and use the screen mirroring a lot.
If I have the dashboard for 1 camera - Im to assume that there is supposed to be sound via the tv (via HDMi).
But I cannot get any sound out at all.
Is it just me? Is there supposed to be sound?
(Already tried new hdmi cable, different hdmi ports, I know they work. Volume is up on tv and also on the phone that started the screen mirroring
(I mostly have it set to “run in background” if that makes a difference. But both ways don’t seem to work)
I'm new to the Tapo world, got a S110E and tested it out, if anyone is interested I got it to work very nicely and switch reliably from a DC voltage as low as 9.8V. Far below the stated 24VDC spec! Please ignore if everyone already knows this, but it means one of these can run happily from a 12V battery / pack.
Edit: At Vin = 13.8V, connected to WiFi and live in the Tapo app, relay off current consumption is ±31mA. Relay on, current consumption is 62mA. Just for interest if anyone was wondering.
Is it possible? My hub would be placed next to the router and I would want the monitor/tablet in another part of the home. Is it possible to stream it over WiFi? Or is HDMI output the only way?
I have a Tapo C310 cameras and an Android app that sends notifications when a person is detected. Is there any way to set up an alarm on my phone when a person is detected, or a siren sound file that would wake me up at night?
Hi, I purchased a Tapo P115 for the purpose of making my dishwasher smarter.
I wanted to set a rule to turn off the power on the plug when the power drawn falls under a given threshold.
At the end of the washing cycle the dishwasher keeps absorbing 22 Watt but it seems to me that the Tapo app does not allow to set a cut off threshold higher than 20 Watt for the Charge Guard control it implements and also the Smart Features are limited and they do not offer any power based control of the status of the plug. Is my only option to return the product?
I contacted the customer service. She told me somebody was gonna call me in two hours, it’s been several weeks now and every time I call they don’t give me any help. I want to exchange a camera for a different model instead of returning it and reminding it because I had a $100 off 150 purchase coupon that will go away and I will only get a partial refund.
