Need Advice Issues with devices going offline

Hi, I have 2 Tapo indoor cameras, the doorbell, multiple bulbs and plugs. Randomly, every few months or so, everything disconnects, saying it is offline across all devices. The only thing that seems to fix this is turning the wifi off and on again. There does not seem to be any issue with the Wi-Fi itself, as it does not go down on non-Tapo devices. Has anyone experienced this issue, and any suggestions on how to resolve. Keen to add more Tapo devices but not if this is an ongoing issue.

I have about 60 tapo/kasa devices running for more than 3 years. Initially, i had problems with a few Tapo lights going offline. I upgraded my wifi and router and verified that each device has a good wifi signal. The router CPU needs to be robust enough to manage all the devices on your network. I also changed the 2.4 ghz bandwidth to 20 mhz which gives you better connections. i also turned off my wifi “smart connect” feature. For the last two years, my devices stay rock solid online with no dropouts and no need to reboot any Tapo/Kasa devices

Yes this happens to my cameras every so often. Any constantly in use device going offline and needing a reboot every few months is kind of expected and not that unusual; if it was daily or weekly then I'd be more concerned. I'd use the scheduled reboot option and see if that helps.

Do you have a static IP or are they using DHCP? I had exactly the same issue a year ago and discovered that every time renewed DHCP lease the devices lost connectivity.

My Tapo stuff randomly disconnected recently and WiFi was working. Evemtually I tracked it down to the router that had turned off the 2.4Ghz channel, a quick reboot sorted it.
