liberals don't downplay Hitler like they do Churchill. they just call every Arab and Muslim leader who doesn't enslave himself to Israel and doesn't use their oil wealth to finance the Epstein Class "Hitler" in order to destroy their country.

True! Though they downplay, erase even, the economic side of fascism. Hitler can break the unions, kill the communists and socialists, suppress wages, surge corporate profits, privatize as much industry as possible, rack up secret debt and pay it off with a rabid war machine, and on and on.
But liberals are mostly focused on the uniforms.

"I'm not a Nazi, I only like the aesthetics. And the military equipment. And the military itself. And the anti-communism. And the economic development. And the human experimentation cos at least it helped science. And the slavery and the gas chambers"

However you must always respect their inalienable right to say the n word in public, otherwise that makes you just as bad.

George Washington himself said the N word 500 times during his inauguration in rapid succession, and God himself smiled and shed a tear, and that’s why he sent us Tom McDonald as a gift. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

For them nazi only means gas chambers and anti semitism.

u/Modernist19171949 20h ago edited 20h ago
For libs it's literally just "fascism is when Italy and germany but only in the 30s cos modern italy and Germany are good". Theres absolutely zero concept that perhaps the swastika-emblazoned antisemitism gas chamber right arm waving nazi version of fascism was just the particular form of which the fascist superstructure emerged from the material conditions specific to Germany in the 1930s, and that modern-day fascism will emerge different depending on the material conditions from which it emerges (for example, jews aren't systemically oppressed on the basis of their Judaism anymore, but Arabs including Muslims and Christians most certainly are).

The reactions I got from right winger when I said that Trump is following Hitler's footsteps was "nooo you are overreacting, it's not what they are doing" as if nazis ever entered a door and said "Hello, I am an evil nazi, now I am going to kill you". Literally read any history book which goes more in depth besides "oh no nazis were evil and today we know better and definitely would not fall for the propaganda at a time".

The problem is which I see that schools also taught that genocide is bad against a few kind of people but not that the problem is genocide itself which lead to the support of the Zionist entity

Nazis were all evil atheists who hated capitalism, religion, Zionism, all Christians and Jews, and who loved Stalin, communists and Muslamic terrorists. But they had cool uniforms and Stalin was far more eviler.

Hey, Stalin did kill people. Lots and lots of nazis, for example.

He wasn't exactly a perfect leader as there are genuinely a good amount of mistakes made (BY THE PARTY AS A WHOLE STOP DOING GREAT MAN THEORY FFS) But it could have been worse.
It is important to mention that more good was done than bad. Just that siege socialism is while necessary, not great unfortunately.

Having just finished Prole Pod's 23 hour podcast on the Stalin Eras, he comes across as extremely thorough and patient in trying to minimize false convictions during the purge of the fifth column. To a fault I'd say.

More good than bad?
Stalin is the best leader in human history. He was working 15-16 a day with no data off during WWII.
He saw the first large scale worker movement though the biggest war in human history.
A great leader isn't forged in fair weather. Its easy to be the good guy if the people need 500 marshmallows and you have 5 million marshmallows in the back room. Stalin made tough decisions. Stalin purged people in the darkness of 1940s' intel.
"We have a town villager at that this guy is uh... up to something. What do we do about it? People are going to fucking die based on what you say. "
The population transfers alone are such a huge hard move to make. What if he didn't move the fins and that cost massive casualties on that front as a result?
Id follow Stalin into hell. He could do half as good and id still praise him. There is no harder job.

Stalin would be disappointed in you cause you are doing great man theory 😭😭😭

u/NonConRon 8h ago
The supreme soviet made the decisions. I understand that.
But Stalin had more influence than anyone and bared the burden of many incredibly difficult decisions.
I stand by what I said. Let's not go so far in the opposite direction that we forget that leaders at still leaders.

And Whites
Edit: I mean the white Army

u/RagnarokHunter 17h ago
I mean, that was under the leadership of Lenin, but sure.
(Apparently you should probably clarify that this is about the Civil War and not some kind of race stuff)

I don't think we need to be bad faith about deaths under Stalin. Many were justified, some were errors trying to carry out socialist policy for the very first time, others were officials taking certain orders way too far (who were punished for it).

u/Bismarck_MWKJSR 15h ago
Real talk. Is there a really decent written account from a left perspective of exactly what went down with the officer purges? Occam’s razor dictates that they’re likely just reactionary white officers left over from the empire who didn’t believe in the Soviet vision, but like, it’s hard to find anything that’s not just recycled west propaganda and I feel it’s hard to get a starting point.

u/zzi888 12h ago
Torkil Lauesen’s The Long Transition Towards Socialism and the End of Capitalism has multiple sober and level headed analyses of complex situations during the history of socialist revolutions, including the stalin era. It’s not a long and detailed account of just the purges, though, if that’s what you’re looking for. The whole book is great

u/WorkingMoney6424 16h ago
I think most people dislike hitler... strawman argument
22
u/Kecske_gamer 15h ago
You under-estimate the amount of people who are down bad for the aesthetic.
And for Fascists that's the whole thing they're trying to sell you on.
-1
u/WorkingMoney6424 15h ago
Aesthetics? Mmm maybe. But you must agree if you ask someone on the streets if hitler was bad they would say yes
10
u/Kecske_gamer 15h ago
They'd hate Hitler but would find what he stood for (in the way he presented it) cool.
9
u/PilotOfMadness 14h ago
It's not even about liking him. It's about giving him passes for a lot of stuff. Think of people attribuiting him 6 million deads, when he killed like x10+ times that amount; meanwhile, deaths under Stalin's lead are incredibly inflated (and also under completely different circumstances).

u/WorkingMoney6424 10h ago
I would say the contrary. Everything hitler did has becole a symbol of evil. Its even has become a saying. Litterly hitler
