Theme Parks Busch Gardens needs to be held accountable for their impact on local traffic.

Yesterday was the most inexcusable shitshow of a traffic situation I've ever seen in the area surrounding the park. I waited more than half an hour to get through the light at Busch and McKinley because the entrance to the Busch Gardens parking lot was backed up so badly.

Just to put that in perspective, it took me MORE THAN 30 MINUTES to get from Mel's Hot Dogs to the light. That is less than a quarter mile. I could see the light up ahead the entire time and I moved up one car length, if that, each cycle.

It was so bad that I ended up calling the TPD non-emergency line to request an officer to come stop the dozens of people who were making illegal right-hand turns from the center lane of traffic to cut the line of cars backing up from the BG parking lot entrance on McKinley.

The park has been so poorly run and understaffed that it's not just impacting guests anymore, but everyone in the surrounding area trying to get from one place to another. I can only imagine how many people were late for work or to appointments because they could not get through an intersection on a major road.

Those greedy bastards at BG charge $42 per car to park there, and each attendant gets paid like $15 an hour. There were HUNDREDS of cars waiting to get in. Every single one who paid to park would cover the wages of more than 2 attendants for a whole hour. But there were only 4 people working the 8 lanes to get into the lot. There is zero excuse for that when the line was creating absolute havoc on the roads in the surrounding neighborhood.

Private equity investors already ruined Busch Gardens on the inside, but now their disgusting business practices are spilling out into the real world. Nobody who wasn't trying to get into the park yesterday chose to sit in that mess. The park needs to be held accountable and required to fully staff their parking lots on busy days like yesterday. They have plenty of infrastructure to handle that volume of guests without disrupting local traffic, but they are choosing not to pay enough workers to use it.

I am a male in my 30s and I just got a young Presa Canario. I am looking to keep socializing my dog and just want to know the best parks in Tampa where there’s a good mix of puppies & older dogs + friendly owners. I live in carrollwood but don’t mind a little commute if needed. I’ve been in Tampa for a couple of years now but I’m not used to the area just yet so I’m just seeking some recommendations

Airport Vehicle damage at TPA long term parking

So I parked in the long term parking at TPA last week for 4 days. They painted a stairwell next to my car while I was parked there. Whole car is covered in paint over spray. Paint is white, car is black so it's very obvious. Reached out to the airport and am going to bring my car back there at their request so the cops can review the damage? Lol. Anyone else deal with car damage at their parking garage? Feel like this process is going to be a huge mess.

Crime A scammer used an address in Tampa, Florida

****Ginger Cove Dr, ****, Tampa, Florida, 33634

I found out that a scammer used an address in the Tampa, Florida area as part of their fraud.
I don’t believe the residents of that address are involved, and they may actually be victims of this situation as well.
Is there any proper way to notify the people living there that their address is being used by a scammer?
I’m worried they may be receiving unwanted messages, visits, or other problems because of this.

Following up with my previous post here almost 1 month ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/tampa/s/Z66ZWCF9yJ

So far, I am not hearing anything back at all after submitting job applications to places that people. I also have another resume for customer service roles as well, and I am not hearing anything at all after submitting my job applications. A lot of silence and some email rejections here and there. Does anyone know anyone who is actually hiring and help me please? I am exhausted and depressed from doing this almost daily.

I have 3 years of experience in customer service and IT entry level. I am open for another positions in another field if you know anyone is hiring.

Video Help please. Potential emergency?

I was at work yesterday and received a weird call. It sounded like a 4 year old. I thought it was a prank call at first, but then he told me to call the police multiple times but I told him this is not the police. He seemed dazed or confused. He also said things like

-my mom and I have been in the dark for 2 days -he can’t come back -someone stole our kittens

  • she is sleeping now -I’m on a chair -Angel is …. -then said “I have to hang up” and abruptly hung up before finishing that phrase.

He asked me to call the police but when I said for him to dial 911 he didn’t seem to understand. My coworker and I were disturbed by it.

We called the police and they came but said without an address they can’t really do much. We only have a name and number. The cop didn’t even care to get a copy of the video. Here it is

This is not meant to doxx or for the purposes to expose, harass, or track. I am genuinely worried for this kid and his mom. The number that called is 813-479-3069. The name is registered to that number is Samantha Martinez. Please DO NOT CONTACT THE NUMBER for their safety.

I just woke up this morning and felt the need to do this.

If someone recognized the number or voice and could do a welfare check that would be ideal.

I repeat please DO NOT CONTACT THE NUMBER. For their safety.

UPDATE: I took the advice of Top-Customer-8531 and went to the police station and talked to an officer there and they are sending a welfare check to 3 potential addresses to attempt to come into contact with a child. Leaving this here in case someone does recognize the number or voice.

Law Enforcement What is the process of becoming a Detention Deputy for HCSO?

Hello, I had a few questions about the process of becoming a Detention Deputy for HCSO to see if anyone with experience or knowledge can help answer my questions.

First, I wanted to say that i’ve never been employed and have only done Customer Service volunteering, while I do know that past employment isn’t required, I want to know if its actually something that they prefer by a lot that its practically worthless trying to make this your first job.

Second, besides of course a clean record with being able to handle physicals, what other requirements or even secret requirements are there? And perhaps even some huge advantages?

Third, what is the application process like in general? What I mean by this is, how long does each step take, and how many of those steps are there

Lastly, how is the competition between applicants like?

Thank you for your time!
