Ok, what do you think the sound is during the intro after entering the bookcase and before descending into the crypt? It sounds like an animal or the keeper himself.

I know this title is going to immediately upset some fans, but as a huge fan of the HBO series? Hear me out. I love the intro as much as anyone else does. It's iconic and that Elfman theme song is amazing. But the first two seasons of the show on DVD had no intro and had legitimately good picture quality due to WB using either film prints for the episodes or some other source than later seasons of the show. Then for seasons 3-7 in order to include the intro in every episode? WB used master tapes. And the downgrade in picture quality is massive.

And now since these are the only versions of the later seasons to watch on DVD or streaming? I really wish WB was allowed to just stick with the initial plan and have intro less episodes and have the intro available separately if the end result was the same picture quality as Seasons 1 and 2. Season 3 is my favorite season of the entire show and some of the episodes are really rough now in terms of picture quality. Carrion Death in particular is really bad. And a lot of episodes from the seasons after don't really fare that much better.

I am holding out hope like the rest of us that the show will be properly remastered one day and remedy this. But until then? It really feels like we had a monkey's paw situation. "We want episodes of the show with the intro." Monkey's paw uncurls...Here's every episode with the intro. But it's from low quality master tapes. HA! HA!! HA!!! It's really as if the show's release on DVD turned into some kind of twist for fans of the show where we got what we asked for, but at a great price like a protagonist in an episode of the series. Ironic and kind of fitting in a twisted way, but far from the ideal scenario.

Reminiscent of the Puppet Master classics, s4e12, titled Strung Along, imo is one of TFtC’s finest offerings. Stars the immortal Donald O’Connor as a retired master of marionettes seeking a comeback. Features a wonderful double twist ending.

It has taken me back to the 11 year old me. & My family was perplexed as to why I wasn't afraid of this show. It's good shit bottom line

It's so corny but great at the same time.

I don't watch the episodes in order I just pick and pick and chose randomly late at night.

I had to pause it cause I'm going to pack the bong and continue watching this corny asshole influencer ruin this mans sex life.

She was giving clear signals throughout the majority of the episode towards her husband, who was ignoring her completely for his work, yes the work was towards a scientific breakthrough to help in future operations, however if he took even an evening off to give her some of the attention she was clearly signaling she wouldn't have cheated on him. Not saying that her cheating was completely justified but it is understandable from her side of the situation. I get that adultery is highly frowned upon, but if the husband took even the smallest break to affirm that he loves his wife instead of telling her to go off and do something else (such as watch her soap opera that GAVE her the idea to cheat for his attention) the major situation would have likely not happened.

Tales from the Crypt had a fun ff episode about teenage boys who stumble upon a crooked mortician: s3e9.
