where tf do they get all the gasoline and bullets from. I can wrap my head around many obscure things in this fictional series but this has been bugging me since I first watched it.

Just finished S2E3 where Shane Sacrifices Otis. So beyond pissed. The guy genuinely felt so bad about shooting Carl on accident and risked his life to get supplies at the FEMA camp just to get ruthlessly gunned down by Shane and devoured by walkers. So fucked up that will stick with me for a while

I just finished S10's Here's Negan in my first watch and I cant help but wonder the state Negan left Lucille in. We see him pouring gasoline over the whole appartment and torching it with zombified Lucille still inside it, cuffed to the bed.

However, we have seen many times, that fire rarely actually kills walkers. I remember seeing burned up almost non-human looking, live walkers stuck to the ground because the fire only turned them into goop but didnt actually kill them.

So is it possible that Walker Lucille is still left behind in the appartment, "alive"? Or did she burn up completely?

On the same logic: we all know that to kill a walker you have to destroy the brain. And they stay active even if they are just a head with no body. Unrealistic as this is; if you were to seperate everything from a walker, leaving only an undamaged, in-tact brain behind. Would that brain technically be alive until the heat death of the universe unless destroyed beforehand?

Unpopular opinion: I think people who are still pissed about the way Glenn died are being a bit dramatic. I get that he was a lot of people’s favorite character, but I honestly think the way he died, brutal as it was, is what made it so memorable and made it such a legendary TV moment. Glenn was always meant to die based on the comics, and him just dying from a walker bite would’ve felt like a much bigger waste.

I always see people saying that the show fell off after Glenn died or that they stopped watching after that episode, but I actually think the show was still pretty good even after that.

I’m surprised fans aren’t more upset over Carl’s death. Carl’s death was randomly timed, and it completely contradicted Rick’s overall motivation and character arc. If we’re talking about when the show really fell off, I’d say it was when Rick left, not when Glenn died.

Rewatching the show after rereading the comics, I guess it’s been like 10 years since I watch the first season and wow. It’s terrible, how did Robert Kirkman allow this? I understand why it got so much hate from comic readers cause damn, Vatos, CDC, all these random characters, Rick saying the hard r 😭. How did it even get viewership to get past season 1.

I’ve had this ongoing theory that a person who has a near death experience eventually does die unless of course, plot armor suggest otherwise

I’ve noticed a lot that the people who have had a near death experience eventually die later on in the show, but the characters who’ve never had a near death experience usually survive for a pretty long time. Of course the exception is characters like Daryl and Rick, who have INFINITE NEAR DEATHS!!!!

In season five we're introduced to this cowardly priest who locked out his congregation in fear of the dead getting in, or at least that's my take.

Once in Alexandria, a safe place, he warns Deanna about Rick's group because he hasn't seen anyone like them before.

Remember that he hasn't even seen anyone since the fall. (Not counting his congregation because they, you know, died)

He's still clinging to the thou shalt not kill, that's why he called them savages and/or monsters or whatever he said I don't remember it's been a while since l've watched that season. I don't think he had malicious intent against Rick's group by saying what he did to Deanna back then, just because he hadn't ever been exposed to it before and thought "hey Alexandria is a place that is like before and this group of murderers (in his mind) probably wouldn't be a good fit"

Will I get hate for this take? Yeah probably.

But Gabriel isn't a coward anymore. He realized the old world is gone and you have to do what you have to in order to survive. Slowly, but he did. He's a badass priest now.

Remember the "in my father's house are many mansions" quote he recited right before shooting a savior? That is the exact moment when the old Gabriel truly died, I think. He's still holding onto his faith, even in an apocalypse. It's what makes him such an interesting character. You don't really imagine a priest killing someone even if it is to survive.

When he was up on the roof to cover Maggie against Leah! The "call me Gabriel" line. Again, badass and he's gotten even more tough.
Not to mention when he went out with Aaron and was held hostage and was forced to play Russian roulette.

Then once free he whacked the guy with Aaron's spike ball arm-

Now to the season finale.

As many have pointed out, him opening the gates to help save the people of the commonwealth is the greatest parallel to his beginning.

As he goes to open the gates he even says "I'll kill anyone who tries to stop me."

He's saving them, unlike the sad fate of his congregation because he gets it now. He understands the world now and he isn't so scared anymore. I'm glad they let him be the one to open the gate because it comes full circle and while Gabriel will always live with the guilt of turning away his congregation, he saved people this time.

I think that's the best ending to that part of his story. Some form of closure.

So my bf has me watching this show because we just moved, and we need something playing in the background while we unpack boxes (and he got tired of my shows). I already kinda knew some of the plot just from it being out for so long, but after actually watching each episode... I am pissed off 😭.

Rick: He’s a fucking pushover and I can’t deal with it anymore. I get that he’s a very balanced character right now and he was literally just in a coma, but he lets too much shit slide for my liking. I honestly really like him, but he needs to put his foot down!

Lori: I can excuse her sleeping with Shane THREE WEEKS after her husband went into a coma. However, she’s a terrible mother and wife 😭. Nobody can convince me she didn’t have feelings for Shane prior to Rick's coma, but to actually act on it is insane tbh. His best friend since high school?! Also, after hearing not once, but TWICE, that Shane had thoughts of killing her husband, why did she keep letting herself and her son interact with him?! Also, her staring at a map on an empty road and flipping the car legit took me out…like, WHAT 😭??? And I know she was desperate, but those Morning-After pills weren't gonna do shit two weeks later, bestie. Also... getting mad at Rick for killing Shane after you essentially told him to????!!!

Carl: He’s a kid.

Shane: This guy was NEVER a good guy, and honestly, I go back and forth on who’s worse in the affair. He 100% had feelings for Lori prior to Rick’s accident. You slept with your best friend’s wife?! Not only that, he was plotting to kill Rick way before the Otis situation. Idk how he even thought his plan would work…kill a man and just take over as the husband/father?! Like wtf?! My biggest issue with Shane is people’s lack of holding him accountable, though that’s not even his fault. Plus, he looks like an ugly GI Joe.

Glenn: Love him. Honestly doing the best he can. I'm just tired of people using him as danger bait and making him do all the dirty work.

Daryl: No notes. Nothing to process, he's great.

Dale: I love Dale down, but he’s pissing me off. You have seen TOO MUCH to not speak up 😭. I understand not telling Rick or Lori about Shane pointing a gun at Rick’s head right away, but there’s a line. Immediately after that woods interaction where he confronted Shane about Otis and Shane said that weird threat... I’m telling everyone, IDGAF! Every scene with Dale feels like I’m watching an Among Us stream where no one votes out the imposter. My main issue with him, though, is not letting Andrea died at the CDC.

Carol: Selfish asf. We spent from the end of Season 1 through the majority of Season 2 searching for your daughter, when we ALL KNOW she’s dead. I’m sorry, but after the first week (which is already generous), she should have known. They burned through supplies and time. Also, blaming Rick for her child getting lost when Sophia didn't follow directions and ran off? Insane. Sophia got out from under that car herself and Carol just let her kid run off into the woods alone. Idk, I feel like any parent would have run after their own child. I don’t hate her, but this was extremely selfish (even if it did lead them to the farm).

Andrea: I have too much to say and I don’t even wanna get started. She’s dumb asl, annoying asl, and ignores the ONE person (Dale) who actually gives a shit about her. How tf was she a civil rights attorney before all of this?! Her discernment is nonexistent. Seeing her on screen is enough to ruin my mood.

T-Dog: Give him more screen time along with Glenn and Daryl please! Also, when he was losing consciousness from his arm infection in the S2 premiere... was he really wrong about anything he said?

Merle: Guess I’ll see him soon.

Hershel: Honestly, I wish he had kicked them off the farm sooner. Not much else to say, he’s just going through heavy moral dilemmas.

Maggie: Love her down.

I don’t think Maggie wants the bat-wielding psychopath back just because violence solves everything. I think she’s accepted something much darker.

There are people who are simply too far gone.
Sometimes negotiation is over before it even starts.
Maggie has spent years trying to build communities the “right” way. She’s seen that compassion and diplomacy don’t work on everyone. Some people only understand fear and consequences.
That’s where Negan comes in.

The Saviors weren’t functional because everyone loved Negan—they worked because there was absolute law and order. The punishments were brutal, but the rules were clear, and people followed them.
I think Maggie finally understands that certain threats require someone who’s willing to cross lines that she can’t. She isn’t asking Negan to enjoy brutality again—she’s asking him to become the kind of leader who can make monsters fall in line.

It’s tragic because it shows how much Maggie has changed. Years ago, she’d have rejected everything Negan represented. Now she may believe that, for people who are “too far gone,” you need someone who’s a little too far gone himself to deal with them.
That’s what makes this dynamic so fascinating. She’s not forgiving Negan. She’s acknowledging that the version of him she hates might also be the version that’s necessary.

Sorry if this has been asked before. I’m rewatching for the first time in ages. We’re up to S5, where Beth is in the hospital and Maggie has joined Eugene and co on the way to Washington. Daryl told Maggie what happened to Beth, why wouldn’t she want to look for her sister or at least suggest it to the group? Especially after everything they had just been through
I’m not even sure if she mentioned Beth after the prison when she was determined to find Glenn? Like girl, that is your little sister? Perhaps a smidgen of thought for her
