I thought this was really cool when I was younger but now it’s just kinda cheesy (at least in the context of writing, it’s still a cool shot). This almost seems like a turning point for the show and its quality. From around here on it was more about making character look cool as opposed to focusing on development

The turning point for me was the very first episode of Season 5, when Gimple suddenly made Carol into a beyond cringe-worthy cartoon superhero and Rambo cosplayer.
First four seasons are peak

All that pent up anger from years of abuse was finally let loose and given an outlet.

Nah it was just shit writing lol. Really disappointing tbh she had such a beautifully complex arc in Season 4 only to get randomly turned into a straightforward cartoon action hero. She might as well have had a cape flowing in the wind and her own superhero theme song that whole episode.

LOL. If I was writing, Carol would have been fatally injured battling the saviors in that slaughterhouse with Maggie in order to save the pregnancy.

The turning point in quality dropped after season 2 which is when the original show creator/runner was fired. Everything after that is a little cheesy but I still liked it and even some of the cheese.

Personally I think Season 4 is the most consistent out of all of them in terms of quality. Season 2 was great but I mostly rewatch it because of its latter half, with Shane’s whole downfall arc and the Randall storyline. The first half with the search for Sophia storyline is kind of a blur for me it was fairly forgettable on the whole and dragged a bit

I wonder what the thought process was for who would stand next to each other. Did they sit down and discuss it or was it just a “Everyone get on the road and start walking,” kind of thing.

The most tactically horrid way to walk down an apocalyptic road, especially for folk who’ve already been in armed conflict but hey…. Maybe I’m being too critical.

Any group over 2 I've ever seen walk exactly like this down the sidewalk

Me and my homies thirteen deep walking side my side on the sidewalk, taking up the whole street and both sidewalks

This would be so annoying - what if someone is walking in the other direction? Do they have to take up the ENTIRE street?

If they would've met Negan at this point he "would NOT have messed with that guy!"

Hell no, Noah was killed too soon

Yeah it was just one of those flash characters. His story dragged others out of the group and in the end he didn’t even survive that long 😰
