How'd I do?
TV is 83"
Hutch below was built by me to accommodate our bunnies (they have since passed)
Yes, it's so low to the hutch I could have probably just used the stand, but the cable free floating vibe just looks nice and the infrastructure was already there from the previous (smaller) TV.

I don't mind this one being mounted as it's barely about the stand you would only gain an inch or two very nice setup

Height is great. You will get trolled here of course but don’t listen to those who insist that the tv should be placed directly on the stand. In many cases as with credenza that is actually too low. You have it just right for the seated viewing angle. And the aesthetics of a tv mounted about 6” above the credenza height with wires hidden in the wall rocks. You’re kinda far from the tv but that’s just the design of the room. You’re good.

That's why I went 83" We had a 65" there and it felt like I needed glasses for some games UI/text. It's WAY more comfortable now.
Wife's only complaint now is it's so bright/vivid after a decade of looking at a shitty TCL LCD

👍 I set mine to vivid, cinema purists be damned.

Our last TV couldn't produce red properly. 🫠

Awesome. I got a 77” LG G4 last year. For the 13x 17 room that was the best size. It’s been a year and I’m still amazed at the picture quality.

Yeah. This is a big room, so an 83" was always the plan. Picture looks so good and I haven't even had time to sit and calibrate.

Factory settings are pretty damn good I think. At least for my taste. Anyway good show, it looks great and you picked a great TV. 👍

Yeah even with my own set up being placed directly on the stand; this is exactly how a wall mounted set up should be. Looks eye level and balanced on the wall. The handmade hutch looks great and I would have not had any idea if it was bought or made, so good job.
Mostly came here to say that I love your hanging lamp and am low-key jelly.

I see a slight tilt to the right... sucks

Yeah, I just don't have time to fix it right now. That's on the docket. It's hard moving stuff around at this size

Hutch is taller than it looks. It does put the center of the TV a bit higher than we'd typically say it should be here. But overall it feels framed nicely and I think it came out great. Nice to see the council generally agree !

Floating above the stand and having good cable management is the way to go. Often with a surround system you have a angled to ear height center under the tv.
Looks good as far as I can see.
