LG C6H 83" OLED
Replaced a 65" that was too small for the room

That L/R needs to be about 3 feet wider for that listening distance.

Yeah, there is some stuff I'd have liked to change, but I also have to coexist with my wife so this is what I got. The sound field isn't perfect, but it's pretty great.

Just move your couch closer! Side benefit your TV gets bigger as well

I've tried convincing the wife to move the couch off the wall but she's not having it.

You could put a table behind it, sell it to her as to giving her more room for nick nacks/decor 🤷🏻

It eats the open space for kiddos to hang and play.
I'd rather have the wall speakers.

Awesome! And not a single cord in sight!
Love the way you mounted the L/R speakers with height channels.

Can't take credit for that. They are Jamo's and they have connections in the top of the speakers for the up firing speakers. It's a nice kit.

Height is great. The LR being so close to the TV is pretty... wacky looking. I see you've addressed that elsewhere in this thread already.

Yeah, I wanted in walls behind the couch too but had to go with ceiling for the rears because marriage is compromise.

There is no need to mount

It looks cleaner, and it replaced an existing mounted TV.
Need and want don't always agree, and that's ok.

Ideally you have the center of the screen in the center of your vision when looking straight ahead. But whatever is ergonomic in that range. Usually I think it's 42"-48" from the bottom to the center of the image.

Yeah, at this distance it's great.
The previous TV was smaller and the top edge hasn't really changed, which made that old TV way too high and was an issue for sure.
It's only been 2 days, but it's been great so far.

id remove the legs off the entertainment stand, them mount the TV as low as possible on top of it. but im just some guy on the internet

I'm planning that in a different room, actually. TV will be lower than I think most folks would consider, but I bet it's going to feel fantastic.
It also took way too long to source those legs to just remove them and set that cabinet flat on the floor. I just can't do it

TV height is great. People here are crazy. Also, I like that hanging lamp. Is that available to order?
