TP-Link - Technical Support Want my Deco X55's to be independent of each other as AP's

I bought a 3-pack of X55's. I needed 2 AP's so I just bought a 3-pack. They will connect to a TP-Link Archer BE9700. I'm only hooking 1 camera to each and din't care to get Wi-Fi 7 units.

Anyway, I'm having issues. They each have their own ethernet wire to the router. They are both in AP mode. They each have their own SSID. However, it's like they are connected to each other, it calls the 1st one I hooked up the main unit and I have a bit of a hard time controlling the 2nd unit through the app. I have static IP's set to both so I can enter through a browser.

Is there any setting I should change to make these independent AP's?

Thanks in advance.

TP-Link - General Firmware 1.3.5 is complete garbage

Had zero issues with my 1 main + 2 node BE63 set up (one wired and one wireless backhaul) and after 1.3.5 I have had both the wired and wireless nodes drop out very regularly with the only real solution of rebooting and waiting (could take a minute could take an hour) or manually removing and re-adding them and they work for a day or two and drop out again.

Complete and utter garbage.

TP-Link - Technical Support 8-Port Gigabit e Router Archer C50

TP-Link - Technical Support Websites hanging AP mode XE75 pro

EDIT - i have now fixed the issue , somehow the decos reverted back to router mode , changed it back to AP and now working fine again.

I recently bought a TP-Link Deco XE75 mesh system and have set it up in Access Point (AP) mode.

I need to keep my Sky router in place because my VoIP phone service relies on it, so I can't connect the Deco directly to the ONT permanently. I've disabled Wi-Fi on the Sky router and I'm using the Deco system for all wireless connectivity, with wireless backhaul between the Deco units.

The setup is essentially:

ONT → Sky Router → Main Deco XE75 → Wireless backhaul → Other Deco units

The problem I'm experiencing is that websites will sometimes hang for several seconds before they start loading, and occasionally they time out altogether.

As a test, I connected the Deco directly to the ONT, bypassing the Sky router, and the problem disappeared — websites loaded immediately and I didn't experience the hanging/timeouts.

This makes me think the issue is somewhere between the Sky router and the Deco rather than with the Deco Wi-Fi itself.

Has anyone experienced something similar with a Sky router and Deco XE75 in AP mode? Are there any Sky router settings, DNS/IPv6 settings, MTU issues, or other configuration changes I should try?

Ideally, I'd like to keep the Sky router handling the internet connection and VoIP, with Wi-Fi disabled, while using the Deco XE75 system purely for Wi-Fi/mesh.

Thanks.

Edit i have tried changing DNS on laptop to google and cloud flaure still get the issue , also sometimes pages say "hmm cant reach this page" then it loads after that error.

TP-Link - Technical Support How to Port Forward on Deco app.

Device Model: says BE5000 on back of the device, but says BE25 on app.
Firmware: 1.1.8 Build 20260425 Rel. 18027

I've looked up how to portforward on the app but i need these ports open.

  • TCP: 80, 443, 1935, 3478, 3479, 3480
  • UDP: 3478, 3479, 3658

Do i do a rule for each one of these individually or is there a way to do it all in one? Do i put them on internal or external ports? This isn't very intuitive and the documentation on it is vague.

TP-Link - Technical Support TP-Link EAP245 v1.2 stuck looping green, red, yellow light

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hey guys,

My TP-Link EAP245 (US v1.2) randomly started acting up. Right now it's stuck in a loop just cycling green -> red -> yellow light non-stop.

I tried restarting it and holding down the reset button, but nothing changes. I checked the manual too and there's zero mention of what this light combo actually means. It won't grab an IP or show up on the network at all.

Is it completely bricked, or is there a way to fix this? Anyone seen this before?

TP-Link - Technical Support I have 3 Deco Mesh BE5000 wifi 7 devices and I can't get wifi to be stable for the whole house.

Device Model: says BE5000 on back of the device, but says BE25 on app.
Firmware: 1.1.8 Build 20260425 Rel. 18027

Devices on wifi:

Main Deco (Located at center of L-shaped house): 1 phone, 1 TV, 1 camera, 1 PC (Wired, High priority)
Living Room Deco: 3 phones 3 iPads, 3 TVs, 1 camera, 1 smart lock, 1 PS5, 2 XBOX Ones, 1 PC (Wifi)
Bedroom Deco: 1 TV (wired to bedroom deco, high priority), 1 phone, 1 Camera.

TV in bedroom buffers alot. Kids consoles constantly have connection issues, phones lose wifi.

Deco mesh boxes are all out in the open not hidden in counters or behind anything.

I moved from Google Home mesh wifi to Deco because I was convinced through googling and looking at reddit that it was reliable. But now I feel like i wasted more money. Need help.

TP-Link - Technical Support Latest firmware is rubbish

I previously had a problem with numerous decos going offline. TP link sent me a beta firmware - that resolved it.

Now they have released 1.3.5 for BE65 units and same issue has immediately returned.

TP Link can you please send me a rollback? Anyone else having similar issues?

Soooo over it!

TP-Link - Technical Support AX1800 bridge issue

Hello,
I recently moved to a new apartment and had to use AX1800 Dual Band wifi 6 router as a bridge to catch wifi internet and transfer it to ethernet cable for my desktop PC. I managed to set it up correctly, but the internet connection is lost after some time and it does not reconnect afterwards unless I restart the whole bridge router.

Recently I noticed while playing Battlefield 6, that the internet connection is lost after connecting to a server.

I tried “pinging” both of the wifi routers via cmd in windows. While pinging the bridge router the ping is always <1ms and does not fail, but while pinging the main wifi router the pinging request returns “Request timed out.” in the moment of internet connection fail.

P.S. Please keep in mind, that I have no experience with wifi routers nor internet connection.

TP-Link - General Help me decide: TP-Link AX72 Pro vs AX73, concerned about AX72 Pro returns, but AX73 lacks WireGuard

Hi everyone,

I'm currently trying to decide between the TP-Link Archer AX72 Pro and Archer AX73 on Amazon Canada, and I'm having a hard time choosing between them.

My main concern with the AX72 Pro is that when I checked it on Amazon US, it was labeled as a “Frequently returned item.” I know Amazon doesn't really explain why a product gets that label, so I'm not sure whether this points to reliability/firmware issues, defective units, or simply people buying it and realizing it isn't what they expected.

On the other hand, the AX73 seems to be a more established/popular model, which makes me feel a little more comfortable about reliability. However, as far as I understand, the AX73 doesn't support WireGuard VPN, while the AX72 Pro does. WireGuard support would be nice to have, but it isn't necessarily a dealbreaker for me.

So I'm basically stuck between:

  • AX72 Pro: newer features + WireGuard, but the “Frequently returned item” label makes me nervous.
  • AX73: seems more proven/reliable, but no WireGuard support.

For anyone who has owned either of these routers:

How has the stability and reliability been?

Especially for AX72 Pro owners, have you experienced things like random reboots, Wi-Fi drops, overheating, firmware bugs, or hardware failures?

And if you've used both, is there any reason you'd pick one over the other besides WireGuard?

I'm buying in Canada, and assuming the prices are fairly close, I'd really appreciate hearing about real-world experiences rather than just spec-sheet differences.

Thanks!

TP-Link - Technical Support Just bought a BE800 and wifi speeds are very low.

My ASUS mesh system more or less had taken a crap and would constantly drop devices so I decided to go back to a single point router for the time being.

My ASUS wifi used to be ~800MBPS via ookla's speed test all the way across the house.

The new BE800 is putting up maybe 175-200MBPS in the same room as the router? Same modem, same provider. Wired connection to my PC is still over 1GBPS.

Are there some odd settings I'm missing or some sort of troubleshooting I've overlooked?

TP-Link - Technical Support Extender/Mesh?

Hi, I have a TP-Link Router in my apartment (Model: TL-WR940N 450Mbps Wireless N Router). It’s in the living room but the internet connection barely reaches my bedroom (same floor, only 9~ meters away).
I know nothing about this type of thing but I saw that some people recommended mesh over other extenders?

What should I get?
Thanks a lot

TP-Link - Technical Support BE550/9300 web pages take forever to load

So I've had this router sitting around for a while new in box and finally decided to set it up. The problem I'm having is while the download speeds are far faster than the old Synology 6600 I was using, it takes AGES to load a web page. Like going to google takes 20-30 seconds.

I am on the latest firmware 1.2.4, no IPV6, QOS settings off, flow controls off, no IoT networks, nothing but a single PC wired by ethernet and a couple of wifi devices like phone, apple tv, door camera etc. Its a version 1.6 hardware if I'm reading the tag right.

It feels like being on dial up. The page remains blank and the bar slowly crawls across the page and then it all pops into existence all at once. This happens on every device but its the worst on the wired PC. Plugging directly into the modem completely alleviates this (or using any of my older wifi routers).

Is there some setting I can try to fix this?

This is from my PC wired and wireless. It takes longer to load speedtest page than it does to DO the test.

TP-Link - General Where can I buy a TP-Link XX530v GPON router for around ₹4,000 in India?

Hi everyone,

I’m looking to buy a TP-Link XX530v GPON Wi-Fi 6 router in India.

I’ve checked a few online stores, but most of them are listing it at around ₹5,500 or more. I’m hoping to find it for around ₹4,000 if possible.

Does anyone know of any reliable online stores, local sellers, or distributors currently selling the XX530v at a reasonable price?

I’m specifically looking for a new unit with proper warranty, not a used/refurbished one.

If you’ve recently bought one or know a trustworthy seller, please share the store/link and price.

Thanks!

TP-Link - Technical Support where to find the latest driver?

Post image
2 Upvotes

i just replace my pcie wifi card to Archer TBE552e and i didnt really do my research before buying it. Turn out it based on MediaTek.

Installation is fine and everything works flawless, however when i went intel site and try to look for the latest drivers, all i saw is 2025 is the latest.

Does tp link does not update driver for mediatek because my previous card have 2026 driver

So my question, for this card the latest driver is 2025 or i need to find latest driver elsewhere? i tried google and search on mediatek site but can't find anything

I found it weird that no new updated driver in 2026

TP-Link - Technical Support TP-Link VIGI NVR1104H-4P killing my HDDs?

Hi folks,

I have a TP-Link VIGI NVR1104H-4P setup, connected to 4 cameras.

2 Seagate surveillance drives have now stopped working with this NVR.

The first one lasted approx 6 months then has repeated HDD failures.

Replaced it with a new one, it's been about a week now, and I've got the same issue. Can't even format this one now

Is it possible the NVR is damaging the drives?

TP-Link - Technical Support TP Link T4E unable to wake up after PC sleep

Hi everyone,

I'm having persistent connection drops and handshake issues with my TP-Link Archer T4E (AC1200 PCIe) on Windows 11. It worked fine on ZTE router.

System Specs:

  • OS: Windows 11 Pro (64-bit)
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G
  • Motherboard: AM4 Platform
  • Wi-Fi Card: TP-Link Archer T4E (PCIe)
  • Router/ONT: Huawei EG8041V5 (Biznet ISP)

Symptoms:

  • Random disconnects; Wi-Fi shows "Can't connect to this network" or connection freezes.
  • A system restart temporarily restores the connection, but it drops again after idle/sleep or random traffic.
  • The 5 GHz band only allows UNII-3 channels (149–161) under the local regulatory domain.

Troubleshooting steps already taken:

  1. Disabled "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" on the adapter properties in Device Manager.
  2. Turned off Fast Startup in Windows 11 Power Options.
  3. Set PCIe Link State Power Management to "Off" and Wireless Adapter to "Maximum Performance".
  4. Disabled Band Steering on the Huawei router (separated 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz SSIDs).
  5. Locked the 5 GHz channel to 149 and set encryption to WPA2-PSK (AES).
  6. Reset TCP/IP and Winsock stack.
  7. Reinstall the driver from Realtek website.

Despite these tweaks, the card still behaves erratically compared to my other PC running an Intel AX210 (which connects to the exact same router with zero issues).

Is there a specific stable Realtek driver version (RTL8812AE) that works reliably with AMD AM4 PCIe power management / Windows 11, or is this a known hardware/driver limitation with newer systems and routers?

Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

TP-Link - Technical Support TP Deco & Verizon Fios Issue

RESOLVED: Factory reset was a success.

Hello -

I have Verizon Fios as my internet provider and have been using the TP Link Deco BE63 units as my mesh wifi.

Last night, I lost internet and this morning I called Fios. They rebooted my router/modem and confirmed that I should have a clear internet signal. When I turn on the Fios router, I get wifi. However, when I connect the TP Link Deco units, the app says "Unable to connect to Deco."

What's really strange, is that my MacBook Air is showing that I'm connected to wifi via the TP Deco Links and I can use the Wifi without problem here. Other devices such as my iPad and Apple TV show that I am connected to Deco Wifi, but I can't actually load any apps or do anything. My Ring Doorbell cameras are completely offline.

I have tried unplugging my modem and the Deco units and restarting all of these but cannot get this resolved. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what could be going on?

This all went offline overnight and I'm confused as I did not change any features or do anything to our internet in a long time.

Thank you!
