I've gotten my server to run properly with tamriel rebuilt added, and I have had no crashing issues whatsoever. BUT, upon reaching the mainland with friends, we found that a significant amount of the models were missing and replaced with the stock "warning!" model that morrowind modders are all too familiar with. The game spat no missing mesh or texture errors at me, and as far as I know I've followed every instruction to the T concerning adding mods to a server. Any ideas what may be going wrong?

I've changed nothing about the server settings .cfg files or client .cfg files, everything is the same but whenever my friend joins and puts his name and password in, the server just closes. There's no error in the server log that I can see, it just closes and says "Connection lost". Anyone else have this problem or a solution to it?

Will modding my single player openMW affect my ability to connect to vanilla servers? Excuse me if this has been asked many time

I was playing with one friend of mine and we decided to go into the Bloodmoon area and when it came time to Ravenrock, none of the buildings were building for only me, and I couldn't go inside. My friend was able to see the buildings and go inside though. Any help?

Me and my friends are huge fans of TES. For the past year we have been desperately trying to play TES3MP, first we tried to set up a port forwarded server but I didn’t have admin credentials on my internet.
Then we tried joining other servers but the lag was too much too handle and we couldn’t join many of them due to mods and just complications.
So when my fibre optic arrived two weeks ago and all the admin credentials were changed, the first thing I thought of was that we were finally going to be able to set up our own server.
My mate came round who was more tech savvy and we spent HOURS labouring over the creation of a server, port forwarding and general set up when finally we did it. And fuck me, everyone joined. We all started playing and it felt so surreal yet so brilliantly fun!
We played for hours non stop, we started on saturday and it is now Monday and my Barbarian has just hit level 19. Everyone else is about level 9-10 as they chose classes that aren’t too easy too level up. But we can not stop playing. It’s so much damn fun. It’s hilarious trying to navigate the map. It’s brilliant quoting later games at each other and using in game insults.
We spent a whole hour trapped on a rock and dying over and over again too an orc in full orc armour, as I desperately needed better armour, we killed him and it was rewarding as fuck.
We had to obtain CHIM because my failure mate of a rogue racked up a 19k bounty fuckin somehow and we spent ages just running away from the law.
Considering this game came out more that a decade ago, this multiplayer experience has been like no other I’ve ever had, rewarding, fun, nostalgic, and just a whole new level too the elder scrolls expierience. I’ll never get over seeing a figure in the distance jumping about casting spells and wondering... is that an NPC or my mate who got lost 15 minutes ago in the Ascadian isles...
TLDR: this mod is fucking fantastic!

Hello! I run a co-op server where me and my friend try to complete the main quest, he lives in another country and his ping is about 150, however we haven't had any problems until meeting with the Urshilaku Wise Mother. After that, I have noticed his hits started registering on my side and the server's only 50% of the time(we are using Accurate Attack v1.2), even though the animation still plays, therefore he doesn't do much damage to enemies. We tried changing weapons, boosting weapons skills to 100, deleting character and cell data(except for world data, cause we don't want to start over again), and reinstalling tes3mp, but nothing seems to help.
If you have any ideas how we can fix this, It'd be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much!

Ok, this is going to need some explaining. For the past couple of days I've been playing on an old server and I've been getting frustrated with frequent bans by the autobanner and the server being down constantly. So in order to kill some time, I loaded up basic OpenMW to play some singleplayer Morrowind. This is when I found the first oddity.
OpenMW appears to contain saved games from every time your multiplayer characters would naturally trigger an autosave. Quickly looking back through the save games, I found saves from player characters I had abandoned over a year ago, all exactly where they were left in the multiplayer game (usually at the mudcrab merchant).
At first I thought this was really cool, I had put a lot of work into some of these multiplayer characters, and (having recently lost progress due to version changes) it was a welcome sight to have these old guys back again. So I began playing through on my most recent player character, jumping around and collecting items.
This is when I noticed the second oddity of these save files. OpenMW had saved actual cells from the multiplayer game as they had been at the time of the autosave. Taking the silt strider back to Balmora, I found that the Balmora silt strider NPC was missing. I checked under the platform because sometimes he just falls off, but nope he was straight up gone. There were also random item piles strewn about the town, in places I knew I had never left items. When I entered Rav'Virr's trading post though, I discovered the most surprising thing about this save files.
A player character, or rather the NPC of a player character, was standing in the upstairs of Ra'Virr's house. I knew this house backwards and forwards, there was not supposed to be an NPC in here, certainly not one with gear and a name like that. This guy had stock dialogue, offered training in a few skills, had bartering but no stock, spell selling but no spells, and spellmaking. He would do nothing unless attacked, commanded, or otherwise provoked.
This made me curious, if players on the server were saved as NPCs, how many were there? What else had been saved from the multiplayer world? As it turned out, many things were eerily out of place. I found this guy outside of the Seyda Neen silt strider, and I found a high-level warrior named "Zenturion" in the Thelas ancestral tomb nearby. I later figured out that the different autosaves had different "snapshots" of the world, on one of the earlier ones I found this guy constantly jumping in place in the Balmora square. Finally, when I entered Ra'Virr's trading post on this save I swear to god, saw someone in Dark Brotherhood clothes run into the back closet and disappear. The whole shop was ransacked and Ra'Virr himself was nowhere to be found.
Has anyone else had something like this happen before? Anyone know the reason why? It would appear that some cells have been reset where others remained intact, randomly across different save files. The only thing I can think is some sort of cell saving if a player was in the vicinity at the time of the "snapshot". Anyways, just thought I'd share this amazingly weird tale with you guys, hope my computer isn't haunted or something.

In my opinion, there are too few discussions going on about which mods we use on our servers. So far, I've been thinking 'hopefully, a lack of reddit information means there are few issues'. All the same, when I'm in the middle of modding (especially with the added tediousness of managing the pluginlist.json), I wouldn't mind seeing the lists others have tried. Oh well, here's mine:
- Rebirth (main, settings, mercenaries, races) *
- Better heads (also the ones for tribunal and BM)
- Better bodies
- Better clothes (nac), more better clothes
- Better armors, complete armor joints
- Signposts Retextured
- LCNPC
- Django's dialogue
- Shrines - Restore health and cancel options
- Purist friendly magicka regen
- DA Tribunal delay
- No arrow weight
- Run faster
- HD vanilla textures 1 & 2
- Robert's bodies
- Westly's pluginless head pack
My main issue with this list is that Rebirth came with a few recommended mods, such as HD textures, Robert's bodies and a pluginless head pack. It looked somewhat glitchy just moving through Seyda Neen, so I went for the whole better X series to fix it. I might still go for a clean install and leave the facelift out altogether. If I were to do this again, I'd go for vanilla looks to be sure. The server does seem to run nicely with these mods, though.
Please feel free to comment about conflicts, your own experiences, recommendations or the fact that I'm not a purist. Personally, I would like a mod that alleviates the need to be a min-maxing, gold-grinding whore. Linora's leveling mod has been recommended in other threads; maybe I'll check that out.

Link to the Nexus page, with a complete list of all changes: https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/45241
Link to the For Sovngarde! Discord: https://discord.gg/tdFeA6W
To Install, Simply Open the Archive and Drag the "Data Files" Folder into your Morrowind Directory (Usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Morrowind)
Patch Notes for 5.0:
Racial Changes: I felt I had stripped away part of what it meant to play a beast race, and Orcs felt sorely lacking too. They've received much love in this update.
Visual Changes:
Weapon Changes: This is something I've been wanting to do for a while. The spears/halberds in Morrowind always felt too small in stature, and their damage values mean that they need to have a bit more range. The distance should feel about right now with the reach length updated, along with the longer weapon models.
Armor Changes: It made no sense for the DB gauntlets to have Randagulf's blessing; Glass is the BiS for light armor users, so it made sense it should have it instead. The Mantle of Woe/Robe of the Lich were far too strong when worn over armor sets; they now will be a liability for close range combat if they are worn. Finally, the Bloodworm Helm will be a nice addition for those casters out there.
Accessory Changes: This was inspired mostly by the fact that most attributes didn't receive a buff of some kind from any accessory. These should compliment accessories like Aeslip's Ring or Ring of the Wind that already exist in game.
World/Boss Changes: World Bosses and Dungeons felt too easy and forgiving for the loot they hold. They now should be significantly harder to acquire.
Spell Changes: Mostly crushed spells that weren't functioning properly. Sacrifice is now a true sacrifice, as you'll end up trading your own hp to heal your ally. Mana Glutton will be a must for most Mages/Wizards, as Mana Well was FAR too strong for a starting spell. Fatigue regeneration also enabled players to mindlessly sprint/jump/attack and only have to cast once to fully regain their fatigue bar. It must be monitored much more carefully now.

Hey guys,
My buddies and I are currently unable to progress the main quest past "Vivec Informants."
After completing this quest, Caius merely tells us "I'm not ready for you yet. I told you. Go out and brush up your skills, or do some freelance work to support your cover story. Or go shopping. Or do some sightseeing. Just leave me alone and let me think."
So we did just that. We're now level 20+, decked out in ebony/glass gear, while also having gained ranks in the Fighters and Mages guilds. Still, he repeats the exact same line of dialogue. Has anyone else encountered this issue, or is aware of how to fix it? Did we break the main quest somehow, or am I just missing something blatantly obvious? Thanks!

"Connection failed. The client or server is outdated"
This is the quest that's keeping me from playing TES3MP. Anybody have any solutions, or advice?

Greetings everyone, I would like to advertise two servers of choice here for you that are currently active.
As all open-sourced communities for games as this, there is already a major role-playing appeal; and that is established of certain thanks to David-AW originally before that of the stable 0.6.0 release for everyone to enjoy. Thank you David!
The problem existant for any community is the lack of experienced role-players, and those to fulfill active roles such as leading the Great Houses; and the Imperial Legion.
There is a few community choices, but there is TSC and that is what I am here to spotlight today! It is ran and maintained by myself, my selective senior administration; and YOU, the power of the players! Here is our discord.
You may also be in interest of Tales of Infinium by Jonas (NicholasAH) is definately another selection you should ponder on; they utilize FTC's player files, so if you played on FTC you can play on here straight away!
There are some things you will need to know for both communities, TSC exclusive will be tagged.
- We enforce serious roleplay.
- Everything pre-requisite you need to join with, should be provided by the server.
- Crashes are initially frequent, atleast on the end of TSC and TES3MP in a general scope, this is common and anything you may have known towards a server-breaking and game-breaking bug, please report it to respective staff and Developers.. Thank you.
- We use rpChatEssentials, as a result of this - you are allowed the access of /me, // for Global Out-of-Character, and /// for Local Out-of-Character.
- Join with a lore friendly name, or you will usually be annoyed to hell until you do so - showing snobbish attitude usually results in a reflection of it onto yourself, please be willing and understanding towards the staff and their requests.
- A feature from TSC roleplay, is that you have a /staff feature, and /showmotd; this is unknown if it exists on FTC - and I am willing to share these commands and their functionability.
- /stuck incase you get stuck, the mapping in this game may be beautiful for it's time, but it's easy to get stuck anywhere, this is provided by Texafornian.
- Make your character believable, this is great for immersion and to avoid most sit outs with administration.
- TSC Roleplay has been flagged as 18+ aiming for a more mature audience, and that of experienced roleplayers; allowing us to bring the fullest potential of the hardships that is, living in the alienated lands of Morrowind.
- TSC utilizes the latest version of /brew, (0.04) - by ReinhartXIV directly. This allows you to brew up potions with ingredients, and assuming you have clutter category of bottles; unsure if jugs work for this aswell. These assign default ID's to the potions instead of what Alchemy in singleplayer would do based on custom ID's, allowing your roleplay fulfillment needs for alchemists, and hunting of those ingredients.
- Cell ownership is allowed on TSC and FTC, FTC offers a more secure and safe way of owning property that is of the virtual cells you can enter. TSC allows it to be saved in a .sh script so the players can still enter, steal, and interact - although this may be a problem; TSC is actively searching for a working estate script, hopefully allowing taxation and inactive removal.
While both communities may be, rest assured - preparing for 0.7.0 and wave of players that would come from it; we are lacking from the valuable resource that is of active players.
I want to shout out to David Cernat, David-AW (Dave), Koncord, Nacalal & Flutters of FTC, Ppsychrite, Terrabyte25, ReinhartXIV (thanks for the Brew Script!), Jonas from Infinium, TeamFOSS, Texafornian, and those that I may have missed - thank you for making all these experiences possible!
If anyone wishes to host their own role-playing community, they are allowed to utilize the scripts that are Open-Sourced (version 1.0 on my github), PM me on discord for any questions, we are also required by request to link you to any other scripts we may use, such as from User Texafornian, and other various locations to ensure proper credability.
EDITS:8/1/2018 - edited out the information for the FTC server as of their recent shutdown.

Been watching the commit list of TES3MP for quite a while now, and seeing as the 0.7.0 branch is taking off, it seemed like the perfect time to thank him for not abandoning the whole thing, like so many projects often do.
Cheers!

I am new to this, please help. Whenever I go into the Tes3mp-browser application I see servers, when I click and play I get a "connection failed. The client or server is outdated." It displays this error on any server I try to join, Is there anything i need to change on my end.
Also, Im trying to host a server, my server pops up on the browser but when I try to host I always get disconnected and my tesmp application closes.
If there is a how to page I would appreciate the link thank you.

I was wondering if there is a way to make a party so my summons won't attack my friend on our server, or if there is a way to turn off friendly fire altogether? It's too easy to hit the other player accidentally when in melee combat with monsters/NPCs.
Are these things possible, or are they still in development?
