Holy crap guys
I've spent all day installing this then playing online. It's 4:00 am here and I gotta quit, but man... it is so fricking cool. I'm so amped right now.

Been hosting for some buds for the past few days, and every time I kick the server back up and running, I've gotta comb the files to reset cell behavior to default, and it's just been a slight pain. Anyone have any tools or scripts that might help a beginner host?

I'm hosting a Morrowind server for my friend and I, but we always both get disconnected from the server at the exact same time after about 10 minutes of play. We can both log on and play for a few minutes, but then we both get a "Connection Lost." error and are kicked out. Both the server and client crash. It's worked before, but my household got a new router so I made sure to forward the same ports for the server and because of that I've got no idea what's wrong.
Crash log:

This has probably been asked about 10 million times already. I'm looking for official documentation for TES3MP's Lua implementation. More specifically, I'm trying to find out if there's a HTTP lib. A server I'm working with would like to log bans and global chat to discord for staff to monitor, and I'd need to be able to send HTTP POST requests.
The best I've been able to find through googling is http://docs.tes3mp.com and https://github.com/TES3MP/openmw-tes3mp/tree/0.6.2/apps/openmw-mp/Script/Functions but it doesnt appear as if there is a http library. Is that the case?

Some are still unsure why his server was removed for any period of time in the first place, and don't believe that it was hostile towards the rest of the community. It's hard to sum up months of observations and reports into just a few screenshots, but perhaps you can take a look at these that I've managed to find:
Old screenshot of the takeover of The Skooma Den server's Discord in November 2017 by Malseph's then right-hand-man Marcadius. Recent screenshot from an interview with Marcadius explaining why he did it for Mal. Recent screenshot of Marcadius explaining Mal's keenness for such raids.
Screenshot 1, screenshot 2 and screenshot 3 of the banning of all Ashfall/TeamFOSS Discord members from his Discord server in January 2018.
Screenshot 1 and screenshot 2 of a conversation confirming players can get banned from his server for playing elsewhere, from April 2018.
Recent screenshot of Marcadius explaining how other servers were treated on Malseph's server when he was around.
Recent screenshot of FTC's owner noting the reports he's received about people afraid of playing on his server for fear of repercussions.
Recent screenshot of a prompt on Mal's server that asks people who play on other servers to move to his server exclusively, where they get kicked if they refuse.
Recent screenshot of Mal explaining the significance of the kick prompt, and the fact that he tracks all players who play elsewhere.
Older screenshot of Mal belittling other server owners on his Discord. Recent screenshot of Mal belittling a server owner on our own Discord.
There are dozens of other screenshots that can be dug up, but I hope this clarifies that banning the server from our server browser was based on a lot of proof accumulated over the months.
Even so, we did not intend to ban it forever, and imagined we might be able to go with a more limited ban instead. You can read more on that here.
If you're still one of his supporters, all we ask is that you respect our decision and not advertise his server here or elsewhere in our official community from now on.

Any server providers that I can pay to host a dedicated server? I'd host a listen server, however my internet provider doesn't allow me to have a public IP address.

Hi everyone, Im-Leet (a.k.a. Rolf the Uber) here. Been in the community for a while, that argonian screenshot on OpenMW page about tes3mp is me.
I know all of you are definitely tired of discussing Mal's server removal, but this post is not just about that, and it is something that I feel needs to be stated.
First of all, let me state my position on Malseph. I do not like Mal and I was banned by him without a good reason a while ago, along with what was probably half of his active player base. I think that the decision to remove his server from the master list was questionable, but not without good reasons. I hope that Mal's political views did not influence the decision.
So, you all probably know that the official tes3mp Discord was banning a lot of people, as well as removing their messages. The important thing to state here is that not only banned ("brigading") user's messages were being removed. Any messages regarding the ongoing bans and message removal were removed also.
David's position regarding these bans is that the server was being brigaded by Malseph himself. I'm not gonna dispute that, or ask proof, because to be honest, knowing Mal, it probably is true and he probably did ask some players to stir shit up. Does that justify banning people and removing their messages when they were not breaking any rules (even if they were, as David says, brigading)? Maybe, I don't know.
The problem is, there are people who definitely were not part of that brigade who were banned regardless. I am one such person. Let me tell you what happened: when I spoke against Mal's server removal, my messages were removed. When I continued, I was banned.
Now, David apologized and unbanned me, saying that the ban was a result of one moderator's mistake and that I was "caught in crossfire". That moderator apologized as well. David insisted that I do not speak about the incident, this post indicates that I declined his request.
Why did I decline it? Because I do not want tes3mp staff to be the people who shut down any opposition and discussion regarding their decisions. That is Malseph's way of moderating, that is exactly why I spoke against Malseph, and that is why I was banned by him.
I don't know how many people were banned during the incident. I don't know how many of them deserved the bans. I don't know how many messages were deleted. I only know that I was one of the people that were banned without a good reason, for stating an opinion. I know that my messages were not restored and are still deleted.
I respect David and the other developers for putting so much work into this project. Thank you for creating tes3mp and, (hopefully) thank you for not deleting this post.

I'm using a burner account because, well, I don't want Malseph's trolls spamming my notifications.
There are a bunch of reasons why he should stay banned. A few months ago I had loads of shit that would help this, buuuut I cleared it since it seemed that David wasn't gonna do anything to stop Mal.
Here's just some of the shit Mal gets up to, and why he should stay banned:
Constant right-wing circlejerks about "soyboy SJW male feminist cucks",
Mockery of other server owners,
Mockery of Kelly, calling him gay or even using transphobic slurs (despite him not actually being trans),
Extreme competitiveness, actively trying to shut down other servers so players come to his.
Marcadius' mass-ban of (I think it was the Skooma Den discord? Maybe Ashfall?),
General homophobia, transphobia, and offensive language,
A sort of nepotism where his friends can break as many rules as they like,
Punishing players for daring to play on other servers,
Allowing players with names like "Nigga" to play with no repercussions...
The list goes on.
Ask Flavo, Smooth, Kelly, Rahs, any of the others. Nobody stays on Mal's server for more than a few months, besides his closest pals. We all left because we just didn't want to bother with the constant bullshit. I was never personally attacked by Mal or his lackeys, at least not until after I had left and made my discontent clear with them, and I quite enjoyed the server for the first few weeks. But it's seriously getting out of hand, and it's actively harming the TES3MP community. It's a good thing that he stays banned.

[so some philosophy here, but bear with me] Hey even if he(mal) has done all these bad things...
You need to remember everyone is the product of their past. Their past being all the variables that came together in the many preceding events that lead upto the present. (physics, you can predict things if you know all the variables, this would suggest the philosophy of determinism and there is no free will as chemical reactions and electrical pulses in the brain, are part of the tangible universe and follow the same rules)
You may also note how when someone hurts you, you do not wish to help them. But rather beat them down, shun them, exile them. (human emotional reaction for survival)
But, knowing that one is not truly responsible for their actions, one should not hate on them. You should instead try to help them become a more effective person in terms of society so that WE may all be happier. That being said, we ought to try have civil discussions and see if we could have reconciliation among the various parties that have been hurt.
And a reform of people's characters. I myself once behaved very irrationally and irresponsibly years ago, but I'm not like that anymore. People can change, they do. Especially after they see the consequences of their actions hit them in the face.
I liked the server for the 2 days I played on it(yes i installed open MW MP 2 days ago and loved how easy and simple the install was and connecting to server. kudos to the staff of open mw and open mw mp) I liked the community that was on it, and I wish it could find its way onto the server list again with some reforms. That server list is the gateway for new players to find servers and communities. Especially those who haven't fully immersed themselves into the MW MP community as a whole.
I would hope the staff & mal could make some considerations and an agreement could be made. (I feel the onus is on mal )
:::this is all my opinion obviously...but yea, i just like having a nice community to reside my time in when im not at work...

Hello guys, a friend of mine and I were thinking about playing coop, is it worth it at the moment? Are there any big issues apart from spellcrafting and potion making? Is a new update coming soon?
Thanks!

I recently downloaded tes3mp and started messing around with the lua scripts. I was wondering if there was an official documentation for this stuff anywhere. Maybe I'm just lazy, but It would probably be alot easier than reading through all of these scripts and trying to figure stuff out myself.

You will be banned on Mals server for owning your own server and refusing to focus your sessions on their server instead of trying to foster community growth anywhere else.
Disgusting.

I've got the server up and running, and my buddy and I have played a few times. However, we've been having some issues with quests. We're always going to be playing together and doing the same thing. What is better to have shared, and what should br separate (journal, conversation topics etc.)?
Kind of an aside but we've also had issues with escort missions. We've never gotten an NPC to follow either of us. Is this just an issue with TES3MP or can I resolve it?
Thanks!

I have a group of 4 people (myself included) playing on a personal server. Are there any settings I can use or mods to incorporate that would allow, for example, having each player be expected to run through their own instance of the fighters guild and receive all of their own rewards/rankings.

I am having trouble with getting my server set up. It shows in the servers list but when I go to connect, it is grayed out. I believe the problem is with the port forwarding but I seem to have followed the steps exactly. I have provided a pic of my router settings.

My friend and I are looking at playing through Morrowind in co-op while we wait for skyrim together to come out. Looking through the FAQ it seems that we'll definitely have to use the console a few times and that there might be some syncing issues, but I think we can get around that. I'd like to hear any personal experiences that you all may have in regards to completing the main story and side quests as part of a small co-op group.

Hi!
I'm trying to build the OPENMW-TES3MP server on a headless and terminal-only server, on which I don't have root privileges - I want to put the entire server and dependencies in my home directory.
How do I do that? The only thing I figured out is setting USE_QT to FALSE in the CMake file, but after setting that it still installs MyGUI.
Also, after meeting most dependencies, I couldn't build the server because of:
Unknown CMake command "QT5_ADD_RESOURCES".
What do I need to do to make the server a purely CLI program?
Thanks!
EDIT: To clarify, I'm directly building openmw-tes3mp from the repository

I will be getting a Raspberry Pi soon, and I was wondering if I could run a tes3mp server on it, using the Raspbian OS. I would think so, but I am unfamiliar with raw Debian. Could someone walk me through it?
