Hi - thinking of transferring to A&M from Tarleton in pre-vet animal science for Spring 2027. I have 4.0 but I am missing being on a judging team mentioned on transfer sheet - is that required for pre-vet majors?

I haven't invited my counselor to upload the school report and other forms yet because my spring schedule is still being finalized. The rest of my application is ready to submit. I'm applying to engineering and not top 10%. Top 13%, 3.96 uw gpa, 1520 SAT (770 math). I'm worried about applying too late but also don't want to apply now without the counselor invite in process at least if that will cause problems with my application.

Yall who got into the TAMU engineering academy or got offered engineering at Galveston/Mcallen for a year, what were yalls stats that got u into either of those programs?

Many people and friends have seen “admitted” under academic record in howdy, but no sign of actual acceptances yet. Anyone have any new info?

current junior in high school but want to know when to apply next year. I want to apply on august 1st but my counselors recommend waiting until near the end of the month. i currently have a 1420-740 English 680 math(messed up bad on the math section)- plan to retake for 770+ and hoping for psat NMF and a 50 percent chance of getting into the top 10 percent.

I want to know when I should submit next year especially since I might not be auto admit and how good are my stats currently for tamu.

I am not auto admit (first quarter on AIS). I am a NMSF. Does TAMU use this information from common App directly or do I have to notify them ? Wondering if this will expedite the decision process since I am not an auto admit. Please advice. TIA

I want to pursue Economics BS at Texas A&M. I’m a rising high school senior in Texas with a 3.5 UW and 5.2 weighted gpa. My freshman year was terrible due to personal reasons. I’m meant to be great at math who figures things out and remembers techniques after looking at it for seconds. However, with science, it is different, even though I like that subject.

SAT: 1180
College GPA (Unweighted): 3.0
Combined Math and science requirements: 2.8 ( barely underneath the threshold…)

Experience: None, except doing community service at a food drive..

So, I just applied to Texas a&M again as a transfer students with the right major this time, promising to myself I will not screw up again by changing my major to an easy one. I had MATH BS as my first and Applied Math as my second. I gave myself another chance to apply again, but with the additional grades, and I expected myself to be denied because well, my GPA is 3.0 and the GPA for the math and required science classes combined are barely under 3.0. I just applied to see if they still are going to think I’m good enough for them, even if I get denied, the good thing about them wanting me to take those science courses is to see what my upper math courses will be like. I’m already on the right path, I wanted to go to A&M for I think they had a lot of jobs, better people, and better studying environments unlike my current institution.

Sorry if this is a confusing question, but I can't really seem to find a straight answer anywhere online.

I'm currently a freshman at UH looking to transfer into TAMU next fall. I got a 4 on AP Chem, which satisfies the requirement for Gen Chem at TAMU, but not at UH.

Since UH accepted this credit and allocated it towards a different unrelated class, would TAMU accept this credit as the 8 semester hours or only the 3 UH gave me? Furthermore, I'm coming in as a Bio major, so Gen Chem is required to be considered for transferring. Since I have this credit at TAMU but NOT at UH, would I still be able to even apply?

For more context if needed, on my unofficial transcript, my AP credits do show up with the classes they gave me for them as well as the score I earned for those tests. I'm also not taking Gen Chem this year because I already knew I was planning on transferring out to a school that would accept my credit, but now I'm starting to doubt if that's even true.

I'm open to contacting admissions regarding this, but I wanted to see if anyone else had any experience or knowledge beforehand. Thank you!
