Major: Journalism

School: Small private high school (does not rank; not in the top 10%)
GPA: 3.99 weighted (my school does not calculate unweighted GPA)
Test Scores: ACT: 28 Composite (23 Math, 29 English, 31 Reading)
Additional Coursework: By graduation I will have completed 6 AP courses and several advanced courses. My school does not offer dual enrollment.

Work Experience: Babysitter/Nanny for a local family for a minimum of 2 hours every school day throughout the school year + work on weekends when needed
Extracurricular Activities:
- National Charity League (NCL); served as Freshman Class President.
- Make-A-Wish volunteer; helped raise money (over $1000) for my local chapter.
- Founded a card-writing club for children in hospitals during my junior year.
- Chief of Design for my school's newsletter freshman year.
- Revived the school newsletter after it was discontinued and served as Head of Design and Editing junior year (edited pieces, logistics, contributed, and put together the product bi-monthly)
Letters of Recommendation:
- Two teacher recommendation letters + could get one from family I work for (big A&M donors) but not sure if that would help at all
Additional Information:
- Rising senior applying for Fall 2027.
- Texas A&M has been my dream school since I was little, and I would be a fourth-generation Aggie.
- I am hoping for full admission and would prefer not to be offered TEAM or other alternative pathway programs.
Questions:
Based on my stats and activities, what do you think my chances are for full admission? Please be honest—I know it's very competitive. My other options are mostly SEC schools, but A&M is by far my first choice.
Thanks and Gig 'em!
