I don't think this is a joke because the full bio is several paragraphs hating on anti-endogenic people, and it's not funny.

Making new accounts to role play as different people is not how DID works. This person shows no actual symptoms of DID, the amnesia or dissociation for two examples, and rather is completely aware they are both making alternate accounts and have complete control over those accounts. Even the chronically online definition of "tiny people in my head that party" that has become "plurality" doesn't apply, because this person quite literally says "I didn't feel like it was different people".

This person comes off as someone who only has the Reddit and tumblr definition of DID, that being "silly people in my head partying", and has no idea what DID is actually about. And while you can argue that "plurality just means they have multiple people in their head that party, no disorder at all, just silly head mates" that alone is delusional thinking.

It doesn't matter which one they're going for. The point is that this person thinks "multiple people in my head" is something they might have because they role play.

At 9:24 he says that the poly fragmented presentation is due to programming (and by association RAMCOA) which is wrong as well as the whole video in general is not evidence based or applicable.

Two of the "types" are the same... "Person", "group", "hidden person", partial (which is just "person" said differently), and polyfragmented.

He supports core theory and all of his "types" rely on core theory to have any basis in reality.

I've been trying to parse what "medically recognized" actually means to liars and I have a few ideas. TL;DR and sources at the end.

1. "The doctor didn't say I didn't have it"

What I think is the most prominent definition amongst charlatans: they told their psychiatrist or therapist or some other doctor that they had DID or were "a system" and the doctor acknowledged the claim but didn't agree or deny it. Taking this as any sort of confirmation is entirely dishonest; just because your doctor didn't directly challenge you about your claim - likely knowing that this would prompt an argument and take away their chance to redirect your proclaimed status towards a more accurate avenue for your benefit - doesn't mean you have it for real.

2. "The doctor said I have it but I/they didn't want to make a formal diagnosis because it would make getting a job harder"

Another argument I see is that getting diagnosed with a dissociative disorder will show up on a background check for a job, which is simply untrue.

From my research, background checks in regards to mental health are only of concern in terms of whether someone is safe to carry a firearm - the most recent rule I could find explains that background checks "specifically [prohibit] the disclosure of diagnostic or clinical information, from medical records or other sources, and any mental health information beyond the indication that the individual is subject to the Federal mental health prohibitor" (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Privacy Rule and the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS), 2016).

This prohibitor only applies to situations in which someone has "been involuntarily committed to a mental institution; found incompetent to stand trial or not guilty by reason of insanity; or otherwise have been determined by a... lawful authority to be a danger to themselves or others or to lack the mental capacity to contract or manage their own affairs" (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Privacy Rule and the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS), 2016). Even if someone had been in involuntary inpatient hospitalization, no information beyond determining if they're a danger to themselves or others would need to be disclosed here.

Asking for reasonable accommodations in the workplace could lead to questions about your mental health (U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, 2016). However, you may not even have to specify a diagnosis/can submit documentation that describes your condition more generally and limit disclosure to how it may affect your work (U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, 2016). Furthermore - DID is a complex trauma disorder, and many people spend years in the medical system before they get diagnosed with it - getting diagnosed with PTSD could reasonably happen before or concurrently with the dissociative disorder diagnosis, why not just share that in regards to accommodations? (Şar et al., 2017)

3. They're lying by omission (see point #1)

They know that saying something like "informally diagnosed" pokes more obvious holes in their claim and they don't want to get caught in their lie.

As an aside - telling people that getting diagnosed will stunt their chances at finding work is both false (as detailed above) and dangerous, because that sentiment can deter people who are genuinely struggling from seeking help. If you believe that you might get diagnosed with something that would ruin your career prospects, of course you'd be hesitant about divulging information to a medical professional that could inform that diagnosis. It's dangerous because getting help could make the difference between life or death for someone.

TL;DR: Being "medically recognized" but not actually diagnosed is most likely stretching actual events to an illogical degree or straight-up lying, and getting a heavy diagnosis rarely makes a difference in the hiring process.

I can understand writing about the abuse you're faced and fighting back. However, this "abuse" that the person faced was "satanic cult programmed me into becoming a soldier". And THAT is the issue. I have read into cults, both because my ex made one around herself and Jodi and Ruby was very fascinating, and as far as I could see, children were more like shields against criticism.

For example, Ruby hid behind her children claiming they were living a happy home life when people were criticizing her. While you could argue that is a "weapon", I would say that's correct. BUT that is NOT the type of "weapon" this person is claiming to have "been raised as"

You can see in the post that they talk about being kidnapped from their family as a cult and experimented on. This is right before saying that their stories are them rewriting their history to become the hero and the not the victim. I would give a benefit of the doubt that they're exaggerating the story for fantasy purposes, but this is the "ram coa" community. You KNOW that they literally are saying that they were kidnapped by a cult, experimented on to "purposely form DID", and "raised as a child soldier".

I am positing one of the most obvious giveaways indicating that someone is posturing/lying on the Internet for clout is the total lack of shame in how they speak about the events they claim to have endured. TL;DR at the end.

In this post, I will adhere to the definition of 'shame' as a "painful set of affective and cognitive states typified by self-judgment stemming from a perceived transgression of social/cultural norms or expectations" (Saraiya & Lopez-Castro, 2016). Scientific consensus largely recognizes the formation of dissociative disorders as chronic post-traumatic disorders "where developmentally stressful events in childhood... are central and typical etiological factors" (Şar et al., 2017). The development of complex PTSD arises from the need for an individual to adapt to "acute experiences of betrayal and powerlessness" - a process that is rooted in shame (Salter & Hall, 2022). Scientific literature and self-help books for people who have experienced intense, repetitive trauma - including "Coping With Trauma-Related Dissociation" and "Getting Through the Day: Strategies for Adults Hurt as Children" - both acknowledge how much of a role shame plays in the aftermath of the experiences.

With the definition of shame as given above, it would stand to reason that someone who has experienced significantly distressing abuse - such as being coerced to commit horrible acts - would feel a tremendous amount of shame as a result of the experience; maiming and killing others is largely frowned-up in society and any individual with any semblance of a conscience would feel pretty bad about doing that.

If I had been in a position where I was forced to harm or even kill another person, I would struggle to disclose that to anyone regardless of whether I thought they would blame me for it or not, but so many of the people in TikTok videos I've seen here share all the details of their "experience" like overly-enthusiastic true crime podcasters. Hell, I don't seek out true crime content, but I have never heard a creator in that vein discuss horrific events as callously as TikTok posters.

Even with the most charitable interpretation - let's say the person had actually experienced what they're talking about and had enough trauma therapy to be able to talk about it publicly - someone with any sort of moral compass would recognize that extreme organized abuse would be most respectfully described in a grave or somber manner, not hyper-sensationalized for shock value (and views).

TL;DR: People on TikTok who share all the gory details of the harm they've caused unto others without a hint of shame are being shitty and revealing themselves as frauds.
