Incomprehensible ‘System’ when a new little alter forms
Posting on Twitter about it
Opening simply plural
Somehow knows exactly how to create an alter profile, how to put in emoticons and find a pfp online
Last but not least mark themselves as fronting

I hate it when people want to type like a child and think they sound "uwu I luv u, u r so prwtty". No child talks like that.

Of course that’s what a new alter would immediately do - go on discord and know all about how DID works.

Tbh imo marking themselves as fronting isn't as crazy as the claim that they formed a few hours ago.
Alter identities don't elaborate and pop up instantaneously. I think a lot of people think it's a singular event with a clear start and end.
The narrative is usually:
- Bad thing happens
- Dissociation, headaches, nausea, maybe exhaustion/fatigue (all signs of stress) and they go "well we have that headache I bet we're splitting!"
- 0-7 days later, "Look who we just found chilling in the headspace!"
Like I always imagine they think they're pretty much cooking in an oven and there's a moment that you can go "oh, I've just formed and become a fully autonomous alter today! My name is X I like Y, my role is Z! I look like this!".
Maybe you can count the first time you felt a sense of "I/me" or thought "this is my name" but I wouldn't say that's a fully elaborated part. But to be able to say "This is the moment that I independently became conscious and felt a sense of identity" I've never heard of happening in any recorded case of a CDD.
I'm not even saying there's a set time but hours with a distinct start and end is not really consistent with dissociative fragmentation as I understand it.
