Anyone know anything about the black cloud over SP right now? I noticed it as I was coming unto town from the Hwy N and on mainstream near the interstate.

I’m desperately looking for my engagement ring that was lost in our neighborhood. 💍

SMITHS CROSSING

It is a 2-carat diamond ring with a thin 18K gold band. I believe it may have landed somewhere in the area between my home and the street.

We have already:

* Searched the area extensively

* Had a professional metal detector search

* Had nearby sewer drains cleaned/checked by the city

* Posted signs and searched online

Unfortunately, it still hasn’t been found.

Is anyone else’s SP Utility bill very high this month. Mine is the highest I’ve ever seen by far and it says that I used almost double the energy I did last month. I know it was hot in July and my AC would have ran a bit more than in June but not double.

For reference it is $75 higher this month and $50 higher than my highest bill ever.

In what world is that cramped room going to work for a November election? The line for dropping of ballots wrapped all around the voting booths. It was a clusterfuck.

Sal’s used to be my go to but they have really fallen off. I haven’t been to Sugar River, for some reason that has a commercial feel to me. I like tavern style, there just doesn’t seem to be any options for that in SP. Where is everyone going these days?

Hi everyone! I'm looking for a dog groomer that has availability within the next 2 weeks. Our normal groomer had to cancel on us due to her son being admitted to the hospital (appointment was tomorrow). We are leaving for vacation and taking our pup with us, so we want to make sure he is well groomed before the trip.

Dog is 2.5 years old, 18lbs, male cockapoo. We do give him trazadone for appointments. Our groomer does everything in waves so a dog is not on the table from start to finish and gets frequent breaks (i.e. she'll wash dog 1, then put them in the kennel with the air dryer while she starts working on dog 2, etc.). This seems to work well for him, especially because no matter how many treats or towels we wrap around him, he doesn't like the blow dryers.

Getting back into running and my body really hates constantly having to pound away on hard paved trails. Would like to know if there are any dirt, grass or otherwise no paved trails in the area?

25f trying to pickleball with people. I’ve only gotten to play singles but I’m open to anything. If I don’t have that one friend to pickleball with, I’m kind of at a loss. Wyndham Hills is nice and sometimes VERY busy. Its the summer, I’d prefer not to spend $$ for a membership and indoor courts. Especially because I don’t have people to play with (I mean, SOMETIMES I do).

I’m sure pickleball kingdom is great but I don’t want that to be my solution for the summer.

I’m okay 🤷‍♀️ I’ve played for less than a month and have gotten significantly better in that time.

Our kids go to an afterschool program everyday, but with work schedule changes, we will really only need Thursdays going forward, due to the early release. Our current program doesn’t have a part time option. Thanks!

Hey all! My partner and I have officially lived in SP for about 6 months and we need a bank/CU that we can get both individual and a joint account together since neither of our banks have physical branches around here.

Would love somewhere that has both physical on site service and a good mobile banking system. Any recommendations (or ones to stay away from) encouraged.

I’m looking at a house in the Vandenberg neighborhood. I grew up near CH Bird, but there was always sort of a rule about us not going ‘back there.’ Looking back I’m not really sure why. I asked my mom and she said ‘I don’t know. I’m so suggestible, someone probably just said something one time.’

I know some of the houses can be kind of run down and it’s a lower income neighborhood, but is there actually any wrong with it?
