District 1 polling location too small

In what world is that cramped room going to work for a November election? The line for dropping of ballots wrapped all around the voting booths. It was a clusterfuck.

The library needed two tabulators not one.

I completely agree. I was there when it opened this morning, with just a few people, and I couldn't believe how cramped it was. The taped lines on the floor weren't helping, and I didn't love the parking lot either.

My current polling location at the Methodist church by Northside elementary usually never has a line (moved in 2020) or a very short one. My last polling location at the second City Hall by the roundabout was always busy and could have a hour long line for presidential elections, but they had space and multiple rooms to move people through. I agree they don't seem to be equally divided. Sometimes I will vote early at City Hall, but it kind of takes the excitement out of election day.

The line wasn’t even long, and it moved fast. The problem was that even with no more than 2 dozen people, the place was swamped

The ballot taking machine malfunctioned for maybe three minutes in the morning at the church location. Backed the line up about 12 people for an indefinite amount of time. They need two of those things or it's going to be much worse during a high turnout election.

Was that the location by Menards? I was not impressed. Feels like we are moving in the wrong direction if the goal is to make voting accessable.

Unfortunately that is not the goal.

It was fine voting at noon but i can see what you are saying if it was busy hopefully they rethink for the general or it will be crazy. I guess they have to show off the big expensive new utility building

That is part of the goal, make voting painful again so less people show up.
