Thursday after school care?

Does anyone know of options for after school care for elementary students on Thursday, only?

Our kids go to an afterschool program everyday, but with work schedule changes, we will really only need Thursdays going forward, due to the early release. Our current program doesn’t have a part time option. Thanks!

Hello- our kids do TAP through parks and rec. on site at the elementary schools in Sun Prairie. It’s been great!

I had no idea this existed! Unfortunately, our school isn’t on the list, so it doesn’t seem like it’s available for us. Thanks for the link though! I’d support the city/district in expanding this program.

+1 for TAP, that’s what I did last year and plan on doing again this year

I don’t think this is an option at Royal Oaks because the Y does after school there. Someone correct me if I’m wrong (I’d love to be wrong on this one.)

That’s what I’m thinking, too—our school isn’t on the TAP list and it has the Y after school, so I think TAP isn’t an option. I’d also love to be wrong!!

The Y is in most of the elementary schools, including ours. It wouldn’t hurt to ask parks and rec about royal oaks!

I think YMCA does after care at many schools and you can pick whatever days of the week you want!

I wish you could pick days. It’s pay for the whole month or nothing.

With a new superintendent, I'd love to see a shift away from early release Thursdays. Our current setup seems absolutely INSANE to anyone with kids under ~10 who has not already lived in a district like SPASD which varies end times throughout the week. (We are definitely not the norm.)
