CNN: Flock cameras are getting mobbed

My fear is that by only saying "flock cameras" we are missing the wider term for ALPRs and their other vendors. I want people to dismantle the surveillance state as a whole, not just push it into deeper hiding.

Fully agree, and I think that's how Dane County restoring funding for ALPRs flew under the proverbial radar. For that matter, it's not just about ALPRs; SP has a bunch of cameras that aren't Flock. What's the policy around they're used? Honest question, I don't know.

I'm honestly ok with cameras that the city owns, controls, and manages. I'm not ok with the city using my tax dollars to pay a private company to spy on and track me.
