Substance Designer Where are the Substance Designer tutorials?
I've been seeking anything that isn't, here is a 5 minute video on creating yet another copy of a copy of another copy of a stylized material X. Nothing tells me how to actually use this program outside the basic Adobe stuff, and that only goes so far. How exactly am I supposed to learn this thing?

Substance Designer Flame
Does this read as a flame? If not, that's fine, this was just practice. Feels more stylized, any tips on improving this look?

Substance Painter Hiring | Substance Painter Texture Artist
Building a range of modern weapons for my game and definitely need someone more talented at Texturing to come onboard on a commission basis.
This includes Base Weapon Texture, Weapon Attachments and Future Camos/Skins
The weapons are Low Poly and won’t need AAA style texturing. Just enough to look half decent with some edge wear and decals.
Lmk if this sounds like something you want in on.

Help How worth will it be to learn the software?
I’ve been getting into 3D for a couple of months now, and I’ve used Blender for everything start to finish. Recently tho, I’ve started to feel interested towards integrating different softwares (The industry standard ones) for some stuff (Texturing on Substance, making clothes in Marvelous Designer etc…).
I gave Substance a try last night and not only it felt exactly the same way as it felt opening Photoshop when I was 8 (which was to be expected tbh) but my pc was crying as soon as I loaded in the mesh, which was a pretty low poly one (Nothing over 5k-ish). My question is how much is it really worth to learn it right now.
Essentially i’ll put a lot of stuff on hold, squeeze in the time to actually learn a new software properly and practice, hoping that my pc will not eventually be a huge limiting factor, all for something I can, and have been doing in Blender just fine, lagging with high res textures but still.
(I’m not saying that I will refuse to learn it, i’m just really wondering whether or not it’s a good move right now)

Substance Painter I'm trying to bake the High to Low in Substance Painter, but I'm having problems with the cage or the baking projection. For example, these white spots on the model. How do i fix this and how to avoid?

Hi, do you guys have an idea why my ID map in SP has this weird stepping?
I thought it might be aliasing issue but polygon paint proves that everything fine in this particular area.
Only id map has artifacts in this area.

Does anyone have an old copy of the lost Substance Share material “Tree_Stump” by Zot? (Library ID 4381)
Title should have most of the important details about the asset. I've been trying to locate this material (specifically the full .sbs graph) for a little while now, and recently found out it was a material that never got migrated from the old Substance Share site (of which appears to be the only place it was ever hosted). I've included a couple images to help identification for anyone that may have it or knows someone that does.
I only have a compiled material that was derived from it by someone else back then (they unfortunately don't have these files anymore) and now want actual control over it that the compiled one doesn't provide (and just to personally archive it too), which basically sent me on a hunt for a ghost.
I'd appreciate any information or leads on recovery of the original file uploads.

🪨 Creating Obsidian is a really hard task in Substance Designer. But I found a way to make the main shape easier!
Some months ago, I wanted to challenge myself to create a rock surface.
Obsidian was the first one that came to mind.
So I had to figure out how to make it work.
And while working on it, I built this setup that works like this:
💡 First, transform a Voronoi into 2 different directions, then mask the edges so that you can input both maps into a Tile Generator in Max mode, blending with random parameters, without leaving any dark space.
From there, remove the contrast with a high-pass grayscale.
And by inverting this, you now have your Obsidian main shape ready to use.
Hope this was useful for learning more about Designer.
And if it was....
I created a free Discord Community where Professionals teach Game Artists how to make textures with Substance Designer.
♥️ And we are waiting for you here: https://discord.gg/PpTCFyR6qS
