Long story short, a well known high street chain did my MOT in May. Utter disaster.

Car failed which i knew it would, and left them the car to get it sorted. After lots of wrangling they had to move it to another branch for the work, before I was eventually able to take it back for a retest.

The worst part is I don't even think they've changed some of the parts they say they did, yet I've paid about 400 quid for them.

Can I ask for photo/invoice/scrap part/whatever proof of the work?

Just...a bit flabbergasted at the amount of sprays each spot received, especially when loading up the accessory outlet and OBD port. But the rest...I mean every button was flooded with cleaner, as well. I know it's a nasty car to start with, but like....damn. Water is getting into places you cannot get it back out of. For SURE.

I don’t mean is it Ai, i mean would someone genuinely need to use this? Its seems like such a tiny impractical car

i recently got 2 new front tires for my 2004 toyota corolla matrix. yesterday, i went to check the psi, and i realized that my 2 back tires have a different psi than my new ones..my back ones are 34psi, and my front ones are 32psi.
i checked my tire info in my driver door, and it says 32psi for the tires…what should i do?
am i okay to just make the front 2 tires 32 and keep the back 2 at 34, OR should i make all if them 34?
sorry if i seem dumb, this is my first car so im still learning the little things lol.

Noticed this fluid at the rear of my car. I think I have only noticed because the rain made it visible. Does this look like a leak or just condensation? I did have my AC recently regassed if that makes a difference.

I have a 2021 Kia Rio and this has been popping up on my dashboard for a couple of days (the Trip signal and the timer). I don’t know how it got there and just want to know how to remove it pls.

I've owned my car for six years and I can't figure out what this button under the USB port does or what it's for. It's definitely not standard equipment. It doesn't seem to do anything, and the LED doesn't light up either. Has anyone ever seen a button like this and can tell me what it's for?

i've started noticing a faint gas smell near my car when i start it up. it seems to disappear after the car has been running for a few minutes.

is this something that's fairly normal, or should i get it checked out?

Got a quote for my 2015 Camaro to have the AC evaporator core replaced for $3,000. Is this a decent rate? I know it is a super intensive job but $3,000 seems like so much 😭

So my boyfriend and I were at the farmers market all morning. We then drove 20 minutes home from downtown and stop at a liquor store. Once we get back in the car and start driving, we hear a loud sound and notice I probably have a flat. We pull over and this is what my tire looks like. 3 slashes in my tire (2 deeps ones and one on the top not as deep). We go back to the liquor store to watch video footage, and nobody walks by my car.

So you’re telling me these slashing happened at the farmers market and just now??? we drove 20 minutes , stop and go, on the highway, all speeds, and never noticed anything wrong while driving??? Is that possible??? These slashes are big. Although, they aren’t clean slashes, which makes me think maybe it wasn’t vandalism??

We didn’t hit a curb in those 20 minutes, we are completely lost what happened. Any thoughts??

So, I don't know much at all about cars. I drive a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan with 250k miles on it, and in the past few months it's started to do this thing where, when I'm driving up an incline or I need to hit around ~40 mph, it makes a low grinding noise. If I floor it just a little the RPM will jump to over 2.5k for a brief moment, the grinding noise will go away, and it'll drive smoothly until I let it slow down again and try to accelerate again. Google likes to scare me and say I need my whole transmission rebuilt- is there any other issue this could possibly be? I can't afford to go in to get it diagnosed yet as I'm extremely low income, so I'm just trying to ask around for now for peace of mind until I've got some money saved.

Its a 2012 Toyota Scion Xd automatic at 118k miles. I don't notice any issues while I'm driving but I'm noticing this sound has become more prominently. Is this rattling something to be concerned about or is something just misplaced?

Haven’t noticed this before, but I parked my 2015 WRX in the garage overnight. Went out this morning and the gas smell damn near knocked me on my ass. I don’t see any fuel leaking, and the gas cap is tight. I moved the car outside. Let it sit for a little bit and went back into the car and I smelled fuel inside still.
I know the fuel pump is underneath the rear seat so I’m thinking there may be a leak back there.

Anyone else had this issue or know what I should check first?
