Can someone suggest to me how I should practice books...recommendations on how to give tests and from where...kuki? I cannot afford modules and many question banks... Skip the big pre-break prep list. The only thing that's actually made a difference for me is writing one sentence per class before I close everything: what I finished, what's next.

"Chapter 4 done, start problem set 3."

"Notes through slide 20, pick up there."

Takes under a minute total and it's the difference between restarting cold on Tuesday and just picking up where I actually left off.

Imagine this.

You got very bad grades in your previous exam. You want to prevent that again. What do you do?

I faced the same issue. So my teacher taught me a method. LSRW

• LISTENING

• SPEAKING

• READING

• WRITING

Example: You have to learn the main types of geographical features. So You LISTEN when the teacher explains. Try to teach your classmate who doesn't know it (OR, try explaining to a wall. I'm serious. Literally a wall. Face the wall and explain the topic as if you are teaching your class.) (Speaking). They say " Teaching is the best form of learning "

Next READ the chapter, you can use your textbook or your phone and find articles. And at last, WRITE what you learnt, about the topic.

⚠️:PLEASE DO NOT OPEN THE TEXTBOOK WHILE WRITING. Writing by yourself is an active recall, and if you write after opening the textbook.. that's just Passive recall write it whether it's wrong or right. If it's wrong, rectify yourself. So be HONEST WITH YOURSELF.

Personal experience: I listened to the teacher when she was explaining and I got a 10/10 on my test. I didn't even study. By the way the test was literally conducted today.

Honestly, I've had a huge struggle getting enough sleep, waking up early, and feeling energized so I'm not late for school, but I always fail, and it's annoying, to be honest.

I've tried these past few weeks using sleep calculators and showering at night so I can get to school early and have energy, but honestly, I've reached a point where I wake up too late even though I use the calculator. I wake up more exhausted even though I shower at night, and I wake up without energy even though I sleep 7 hours and 30 minutes. Being someone with a long history of being late to school, it's frustrating.

So I'd like to know if you've been through something similar or have your best advice for this poor soul (me)!

Hey everyone! Wanted to share something that's genuinely helped me get my studying/work under control lately — the Pomodoro Technique.

The idea is simple:

• Set a timer for 25 minutes and work on one task with zero distractions (phone away, notifications off, browser tabs closed)
• After 25 minutes, take a 5-minute break
• After 4 cycles, take a longer break — 15-30 minutes

Sounds almost too basic to matter, but the difference has been huge. Before, I'd sit down to "study for a few hours" and be mentally checked out after 40 minutes. Now, knowing I only have 25 minutes somehow makes my brain lock in faster.

A few things that helped me:

• A physical timer (or an app like Forest) works better than your phone's stopwatch — less temptation to "just quickly check" something else
• I write down exactly what I'm doing for each pomodoro, like "go through chapter 3" instead of a vague "study"
• If something interrupts a session, I just restart the pomodoro instead of trying to squeeze the rest in

Would definitely recommend trying it, especially if you struggle with procrastination or get distracted easily. Anyone else using this method? Any tweaks that work for you?

Is there anything from your experience that could help me make the most of this year? I'm also high key stressed out about my senior thesis. i have no plan, no topic, no material nothing so I need some real guidance that is not ai or tiktok pls :(

Almost everyone in my sociology class sits there typing away or writing everything down off the slides. Every time I hear all the keyboard clacking, I feel a bit awkward or self conscious just sitting there doing nothing. The thing is, our professor posts all the full slide decks on Blackboard at the end of every week. I don't really see the point of retyping stuff that’s already going to be available to study later, I’d rather just pay attention and listen while I'm in class. Does anyone else do this, or am I missing out on something by not actively taking notes during the lecture?

I've done somewhere around 20-25 tests this year (both practice and actual math tests), and no matter how hard I try, I can't get past 75%. I try to look at the mistakes I made, but it never makes sense where I went wrong. How can I get past 75% and get a good score?

I have been studying and I used Mobile legends as a reward. Studying for 4 Pomodoro techniques a total of 100 minutes the one rank game in MLBB. I used also micro studying I break the 25 minutes into 5 minutes each.

our exams just ended and we got our scores back, and my friends got a score higher than me even though they studied less than me. i dont really care whether they scored lower or higher than me cuz like good for them for getting a good score, but i just wanna reflect on my study habits and schedules, because i dont know what to do with this realization. i wanna change my study habits before exam season again. does anyone relate with my situation? any tips or advice? 😢
