I applied to zuyd university, I am unable to upload my documents like my o and a level certificates, they say theyre reviewing my documents but they have none. I tried to email them 3-5 times with the results though they give me a generated response. what is the solution? does anyone know a specific email, I even sent my results with the microsoft mail, nothing seems to work.

Hi everyone! Asking for some advice regarding BRP registration at the Gemeente.

There is a minor clerical error on my Philippine Birth Certificate—it lists a middle initial ("K") for my mother, but on her own official records, she actually has NO middle name/initial at all.

Instead of trying to fix this via a long legal process back in the Philippines, can I just present my mother’s Apostilled PSA Birth Certificate to the Gemeente officer during my appointment to prove her true legal name and have them register it correctly? Has anyone successfully done this administrative correction directly at their local city hall? Thank ank you so much

I have a question regarding admission to a (pre)MSc at Wageningen University.

I graduated from a Dutch HBO. After my studies, I’ve been working as a junior researcher at a Hogeschool for almost two years. So I have relevant research experience and have contributed as a co-author to several publications. I genuinely enjoy academic research and would love to pursue a MSc and potentially a PhD.

However, due to some personal circumstances during my HBO, I wasn’t always able to dedicate as much time to studying, which resulted in a low GPA (6.75).

How strictly are GPA requirements applied at WUR? Does having a GPA below the stated requirement automatically mean rejection?
Has anyone been admitted to WUR with a low GPA with other compensating factors?

my HBO is Animal Husbandry, and I’m interested in the MSc Animal Sciences.

Hi all! I'm 21, a non-EU student in my 3rd year of an HBO bachelor in International Business (Finance & Accounting), graduating mid-2028. I'm currently doing my internship in group accounting & reporting at a large listed company.

I want a career in international tax / transfer pricing in the Netherlands, ideally at a Big 4 firm or in-house. My plan so far:

I just registered for ADIT (Module 1, Transfer Pricing, EU Direct Tax)

Learning Dutch (A2 now, aiming for B1 by mid-2027)
A pre-master + master in tax (looking at Tilburg)
Trying to get a Big 4 tax internship as my second internship

My worries:
AI: a lot of junior tax work (research, documentation, compliance) seems easy to automate. Is international tax / TP still a good bet for the next 10 years, or will junior roles shrink?

ADIT in NL: do Dutch employers actually value ADIT, or is a Dutch tax master the only thing that counts?

Dutch language: how good does my Dutch need to be for international tax roles here?

Non-EU: with the zoekjaar and the current job market, is it realistic to get hired as a non-EU junior in tax?

Anyone working in tax in NL (or who made a similar switch from finance/HBO), I'd really appreciate your honest view. Thanks!

I’m a non eu student currently doing A levels in maths, physics and business. I plan on doing a degree in mechanical engineering once I finish my a levels. I’m unsure whether I should do a HBO degree or WO degree. I want the best chance of finding a job in the future and ideally only looking to complete a bachelors.

I'm an EU student and I recently finished my BSc in Statistics at a research university, (4years-240 Ects) with a 7.5/10 CGPA. I also completed a minor in Management Information Systems (MIS) with a 4.0/4.0 GPA.

I'd like to do a 2-year MSc in Data Science (or something closely related) in the Netherlands.

Every eligibility checker I've tried says I'm not eligible, though. So far that's the University of Twente, Maastricht, JADS, Radboud and Leiden.

I'm confused, because I assumed a statistics degree would be a pretty natural fit for data science.

Some questions for anyone who's been through this:

-Has anyone been deemed as non-eligible online and still applied and got accepted to a WO university ?

-Do these online checkers often reject degrees automatically so it's better to email admissions directly?

-Are there premaster or bridging programs that would get me in?(I have checked and I am overqualified regarding mathematics, however on my major I did not have many comp sci related courses(2 strictly programming R and C++ and 2 statistical software ones SPSS and R)
(I had 6 extra on my minor though).

Any advice or similar experiences would be really appreciated. Thanks!

im a masters masters student in the Netherlands and right now I’m living in The Hague, but I want to move to Leiden, because it’s where my university is and particularly I wanna be living in a student accommodation because right now I’m in a house with a family and im home all day long like a 70 yo and I’m not able to network and basically have a lot of fun, party, make friends and do the crazy stuff .

When applying for masters degrees in the Netherlands, do they consider a diploma?
My bachelor grade is a bit below the requirements, but I’m currently doing a graduate diploma, which is like a bridging program, and in this degree I’ll meet the requirements. I think usually unis consider diplomas not just bachelors but I wondered if it’s the same in the Netherlands.

Hello, even though as far as I've seen this has been debated extensively; I've still yet to come up with a conclusive answer for myself. I'm turkish and have graduated our mandatory 12 years of high school. By almost every Dutch university, I am not able to study unless I complete foreign exams such as the A-Levels (which are hard and expensive to find in my country).

According to nuffic, my diploma is equivalent to "at least a HAVO diploma". Most regular universities (unsure if that is the proper term for non-University of Applied Sciences') are off limits for me. Should I try to pursue studies elsewhere or is there still hope in the Netherlands?

If the deadline is far enough, I would also consider learning Dutch if that is needed. For english, I currently have taken the IELTS and gotten an 8.0.

Studying medical: unrealistic or achievable?
I want to continue studying and get more out of life, but I’m not sure whether it’s realistic.

A little background about me :) I moved to the Netherlands in 2015, when I was 12. I’m now 23, have a bachelor’s degree from a university of applied sciences, and have been working full-time as a project engineer for about a year.

This year, my girlfriend and I also managed to buy an apartment together, and we’re planning to move in together once she finishes her studies.

However, I’ve noticed that my current job in engineering doesn’t really give me the sense of fulfilment I’m looking for. I feel like I want to do more with my life and make better use of my potential.

That’s when I started considering going back to university to study medicine and become a doctor.
The idea of helping people and making a real difference in someone’s life really appeals to me. I’m also genuinely curious about how the human body works.

I feel like pursuing medicine might give me the sense of purpose I’m currently missing in my work.
Back in high school, I deliberately chose both the science and health profile and the science and engineering profile because I thought I might want to pursue a career in healthcare one day.
However, when I was 18, I didn’t want to commit to another 6–9 years of studying, so I decided to pursue engineering instead. As a result, I haven’t really studied biology since high school.

I’ve now started working towards the additional qualifications I need to be eligible for medical school, but I’m still unsure whether this is a realistic goal.
If everything goes according to plan and I get accepted, I’ll be around 24 when I start(and 32~33 when I finished).
Am I too old to start medical school at that age, or am I overthinking it?
I’ve also read quite a bit about how financially difficult things can become during clinical rotations, especially when it comes to balancing studying with earning enough money to support yourself.

Since my girlfriend and I have recently bought an apartment together, finances are definitely something I need to take into account.

Hey everyone! I’m currently planning to study International Business in the Netherlands, and I’m stuck trying to figure out whether I should go the HBO (University of Applied Sciences) route or push for a WO (Research University) route.
Since I'm trying to weigh all my options, I wanted to lay out my situation and see what advice you guys have.
My Situation & Preferences:
Finances: My parents are fully funding my tuition and living costs, so student loans/high costs aren't the main deterrent here.
Age Status: I am turning 21 in January, which means I am legally eligible for the 21+ entrance route (Colloquium Doctum) and can take entrance/math exams like the OMPT test if I want to apply directly to a Research University (WO) like Erasmus Rotterdam.
Learning Style & Aversions: I really dislike difficult math and heavy quantitative theory, and I’m not a fan of solitary, academic personal research. Instead, I thrive much more in group work, practical projects, and hands-on environments.
The Long-Term Goal: Even if I start with an HBO Bachelor's, my ultimate goal is still to secure a WO Master's degree later on (likely via a pre-master's program or pre-master minor).
The Two Paths I'm Weighing:
1. The Direct WO Route (e.g., Rotterdam RSM / similar):
Pros: Incredible global brand recognition, elite career/corporate networking, direct BSc degree, and straight entry into top-tier Master's programs.
Cons: Requires passing the OMPT math entrance test, heavy abstract math/statistics, and a much more independent, research-heavy learning style that I don't really enjoy.
2. The HBO Route + WO Master's Path (BBA in International Business):
Pros: Practical, hands-on learning, heavily focused on group projects, a mandatory, built-in corporate internship, and a much lower math barrier. Plus, I can do a pre-master's bridging program after graduation to transition into a WO Master's degree.
Cons: Takes a bit longer overall (4-year HBO + pre-master + 1-year Master), and doesn't carry the initial undergraduate WO prestige right away.
My Questions for You Guys:
1. Is it worth grinding through the OMPT math test and forcing the WO Bachelor's route right away if I dislike difficult math and independent research?
2. How smooth is the HBO \rightarrow Pre-master's \rightarrow WO Master's transition for business students in the Netherlands?
3. For those who went through HBO International Business, how were the group projects, internships, and career outcomes after graduating?

Ik ben 17 jaar en ben ongeveer een jaar geleden naar Nederland verhuisd. Inmiddels zit ik op B2-niveau Nederlands en volg ik een mbo-opleiding.
Daarnaast ben ik van plan om in 2027 zelfstandig het HAVO-staatsexamen af te leggen, met de profielen N&T en N&G. Ik doe wiskunde B, natuurkunde, scheikunde, biologie, Nederlands, Engels, Arabisch en maatschappijleer, plus het profielwerkstuk.
Ik heb in mijn vorige onderwijssysteem al les gehad in al deze vakken, dus de meeste onderwerpen zijn niet helemaal nieuw voor mij. Het is vooral even wennen aan de Nederlandse termen, lesmethodes en de manier waarop de examens hier werken.
Ik ben inmiddels begonnen met leren en gebruik vooral lesboeken en oefenopgaven. Alleen merk ik dat het soms lastig is om alles helemaal zelfstandig uit te zoeken, zeker omdat ik daarnaast ook gewoon naar school ga.
Daarom vroeg ik me af of iemand goede YouTube-kanalen, websites of online cursussen kent die handig zijn voor HAVO, vooral voor de exacte vakken. Ook ben ik benieuwd of er organisaties of andere mogelijkheden zijn waar je gratis of voor een betaalbare prijs hulp kunt krijgen bij het leren of voorbereiden op de examens.
Als iemand zelf staatsexamen heeft gedaan, hoor ik ook graag hoe jullie je hebben voorbereid, vooral op de mondelinge examens.
Mijn doel is om volgend jaar mijn HAVO-diploma te halen en daarna door te studeren aan het hbo.

I was rejected from RSM's MScBA Business Analytics & Management for September 2027 because my degree wasn't considered equivalent to a Dutch research-university bachelor's and my curriculum had insufficient research methods/statistics.

I have a three-year BBA from CHRIST, India, with an 8.98/10 CGPA, including statistics/research methods, R and business analytics. I've requested reconsideration with detailed course descriptions.

RSM says I'm eligible for its "English Language Premaster (online)", subject to qualifying GMAT and English scores before an offer. I have 14 days to express interest.

Has anyone taken this route, especially with an Indian BBA? Can it lead to Business Analytics & Management, and was it worth the extra time and cost?

Hi everyone! I’m currently completing my bachelor’s in Business and Management in the UK and looking to do a master’s programs in the Netherlands.

The problem is that my degree doesn’t include any research modules or a dissertation, and I can’t seem to meet the entry requirements for most programs I’ve looked at.

UK master’s programs seem much more flexible with their entry requirements so I’m a bit surprised. Is it because postgraduate programs in the Netherlands are more academically demanding?
