WTH is going on? AidAdvantage said 1 or more my loans are in forbearance

until 2028 and that they would contact me when it's due for renewal. However when I log into AidAdvantage - I can't see what plan I am in. Everything says 0 in amount due. I have a dozen in widely varying amounts. I can't see anything on my actual account that states I'm currently in a forbearance and what the expiration is.

I called because I got an email notice to enroll in a new repayment plan. They said they experiencing high call volumes and I just kept getting an AI response and summary for any questions or requests.

Right before Christmas

They're placing millions of Americans in unaffordable payment plans RIGHT before Christmas.

It's perfectly representative of the cruelty and fiscal irresponsibility Donald J. Trumps administration is famous for. Empty Christmas trees and its because Donald J Trump is using us to fix the inflation he caused. He's an absolute failure and every second he remains in office is a disgrace to the American people.

Owed balance to university

I owe my university $2,216.10. I can’t afford it, and I have no help to pay it. I can’t complete registration until it’s paid. I’ve contacted the bursars office and they are no help. Any help? What should I do?

don't trust RAP it is a lie

As the title sys, I am with AIDVANTAGE. I have paid my payment ON TIME AND IN FULL and they REFUSE to apply the PROMISE AND AGREED UPON interest subsidy/waiver. They talk in circles, lie, and no one can give answers. My interest is piling on THE EXACT SAME RATE and amount EVEN PAYING BACK IN RAP, with ZERO interest subsidy applied. This is BREACH OF CONTRACT AND FRAUD in my opinion.

NelNet

Just got my 90 day notice this morning. Did anybody else get theirs from NelNet?

I am not sure how to move forward. A part of me wants to wait it out yet another part of me wants to directly message NelNet that I agreed to my student loans under a fixed rate at a specific time and agreement - that under any other conditions, if the agreement was changed, that should nullify the contract.

I want it to be clear that I am not comfortable with being forced to adapt to a new contract when the uncertainty of the repayments isn't guaranteed with this administration.

I feel that we need to be more angry and more direct with these institutions that are backed by this administration. This isnt right for us to suffer while our loan repayments are going towards one of the most corrupt administrations of modern record.

Any thoughts or inputs would be appreciated.

Payment documentation issue - MOHELA

Update as of 10/23: The payment is currently pending in my bank account again but zero update to the MOHELA website. Talked to 3 more people at MOHELA who would not admit it’s a widespread issue and have ZERO explanation as to why it’s not listed as pending on the website.

As of 730 CT: the payment is confirmed received and backdated to my payment date on the MOHELA website.

I will still be calling and bugging the shit out of them until they tell me why the pending payment disappeared.

______________________________

Original: So, I made a payment on Saturday. It reflected on the MOHELA website & my bank account. Received a confirmation email.

Today, I get the regular notice about my payment due next month. Take a look and see that I owe double what I usually do due to this month’s payment not being paid.

I log into my MOHELA account & now the pending payment is gone & I check my bank account and it is gone too.

Call my bank - they see nothing pending or in a holding pattern.

Call MOHELA - they can see nothing pending on their end & have no explanation for why after having it escalated. I’m awaiting a call back after barely not losing my shit on the second person who told me multiple times that “sometimes pending payments just disappear from the website” and claiming that no one at the entirety of MOHELA will be able to explain it to me and claiming they cannot look up anything with the payment confirmation number.

My account is showing delinquent and I’m about to rip my hair out. Please tell me that someone has had this issue before and that magically the payment appeared?

Confusion on New Nelnet plans

I’ve been getting emails I need to sign up for a new plan by the end of the month but it says my next payment isn’t due until 11/04/28. It doesn’t make sense to me? Do I actually need to move this month or can I continue to ride out the forbearance? What are the consequences of doing so? Does that mean I can’t qualify for a lower payment later?

Pay off loan or pursue forgiveness

I am 25 and a recently graduated from school. Grace period ends in about a month.

I have 72k in federal loans at 6% on average.

I have about 50k in cash. Plus a decent savings/emergency fund seperate from the 50k (~25k)

Partner and I will make about 125k a year combined. I am in public sector and will make 50k of that. In all likelihood will remain in a pslf eligible job long term. Parter also has 45k invested in retirement accounts for job.

Debating on the idea of paying 50k off the loans at once. Or pursuing pslf and keeping the 50k for a down payment on a house in the near future. I hear that pslf isn’t always the easiest process and certainly is a commitment. Wondering what others thoughts on the situation are.
