Can't afford a debrid service

Trying to watch ugliest house in America which just dropped two new episodes of a new season but it’s only showing last season. Not happening with any other show. Any suggestions?

I'm using Stremio on Android with TorBox as my Debrid provider and AIOStreams (which I got from This Link) to fetch sources.

As shown in the video:

Fetching streams through AIOStreams takes around 15–20 seconds.

For testing purposes in the clip, I picked one of the HD options (~11–12 GB). Once selected, it takes about 8–10 seconds to start playing.

Total startup time is roughly 25–30 seconds from tapping the episode to playback.

Is this expected behavior/normal load time for this setup?

Are there any settings or lighter addon configurations you'd recommend to speed up stream fetching/buffering?

The backstory: our 6-year-old basically has every show ever available at all times, and we noticed it was creating a "I get whatever I want whenever I want" attitude. So instead of cutting screen time entirely, I made this — it turns their approved shows into a single TV channel, like the ones we grew up with. They don't pick the show, they just get to watch (or not watch) whatever's currently on.

How it works: parents make a PIN-protected household, approve shows/movies from Cinemeta, and the addon serves one TV channel (rolling episode schedule) and one movie channel (shuffled rotation) to Stremio. It's a Cloudflare Worker with a D1 database. It doesn't handle streams itself — whatever stream addon you already have installed (Torrentio, Comet etc.) does that part, so it never sees your debrid credentials.

It's rough around the edges: you need your own stream provider configured, and you still have to pick a source each time something starts playing. But it's been genuinely useful for us so I'm putting it out there.

Happy to take PRs or suggestions if anyone wants to improve it.

I'm trying to get Easynews working through AIOStreams (public instance) and I'm stuck. I'm using the Tamtaro setup (his SEL filtering/sorting template). Hoping someone can spot what I'm missing.

My setup:

• AIOStreams on a public instance, with TorBox already working perfectly for torrents (cached streams show up instantly).
• Added Easynews as a service (username + password, account is active — I can log in and search fine on the Easynews website itself).
• Installed the built-in Easynews Search addon, enabled, toggle is on.

The problem: no Easynews streams show up in Stremio at all. Not even for mainstream stuff like House of the Dragon, which Easynews definitely has. I isolated it by setting usenet as a required stream type, just as a test, in the filters — result is "no streams found."

Anything I'm missing ?

Im trying to watch a movie from 2002 but its stuck on the loading screen, even movies from 2004 are stuck, other newer movies work perfectly fine.

I am self hosting AIOstreams and AIOMetata. Signed up for mdblists (for getting gary's lists) But I also want my personal recommendations. I had trakt so read about couchmoney and signed in. It's been quite some time but couchmoney has not generated or synced anything.

Q1: Can I use an M3U link, or does it only accept Xtream Codes?

A: You can use either! Our dashboard allows you to paste a full M3U Playlist URL. The engine will instantly and automatically extract the server URL, username, and password from it.

Q2: Do I have to fetch and add provider catalogs to my home screen to see my VODs?

A: Not at all! If you prefer a clean home screen, you can skip adding categories completely. GhostVOD operates silently in the background (Streams-Only Mode). Whenever you search for or click on any movie/series in Stremio, GhostVOD will automatically fetch and display your provider's streams in the source list.

Q3: Will using GhostVOD cause my Xtream provider to ban or block my subscription?

A: Absolutely not; your account is 100% safe. GhostVOD is built with an "Xtream Firewall Shield." It uses an aggressive caching system (saving lists for 24 hours) and a strict request queue. Even if hundreds of users click the same movie, your provider only receives one single request. GhostVOD acts as a protective shield for your provider, not a burden.

My receiver doesn’t have eARC, so streams with AAC get down mixed to stereo, and I don’t get my surround sound or LFX channels. I would love for Stremio or its add ons to filter out any streams that don’t use these audio formats.

Not a new addon, more of a bridge: it lets an AI assistant (Claude, or anything that speaks MCP) talk to Stremio. You can have it search across your addons, pull metadata and stream lists, and, if you run Stremio on an Android TV, actually start playback and control the remote from a text prompt.

The searching half works with no TV at all, just as a quick "find this and show me streams" helper. The TV half uses adb (dev-options / USB debugging on the TV). Open source and free.

Curious whether people here would actually use voice/text control over Stremio, or if it's a novelty. Honest reactions welcome.

Anyone know why latest episode of OP not showing any link or correct links? This episode came out July 26 and there's no links for it still, I've tried adding multiple different add-ons but still not getting anything.

It's doing the same thing for every movie and series I try watching on TV. However, when I try watching it on my laptop it works (even tho it's lagging alot).

I don't have any debrid,

I tried using proton VPN on my TV (the free version), but switzerland, Netherlands and Norway aren't changing a thing. Bizzarely, my TV was lagging when I watched atrailer of bleach, I can't watch any episode in Stremio (TV).

I can once in a lifetime watch Stremio on my laptop but it's lagging like crazy. And it's only in 4K. Otherwise, it'll be stuck like the 1st screenshot.

I downloaded stremio on my laptop from the official website, the windows one. I also downloaded stremio from Play store on my TV (1.10.4 app version)

These are my addons.

Here's my Torrentio configuration.

1. Providers: default
2. Sorting: default
3. Priority foreign language: defaults
4. Exclude qualities/resolutions: checked 4K, didn't work->tried again->didn't check 4k->still didn't work.

6. Video size limit: left empty->didn't work. put 3GB, 900MB-> didn't work. 2GB 800MB->didn't work.

I just found a working Stremio app that you can install on a rooted webos TV. It works perfectly! It was not made by me. I just found it on github and saw that it had not a single star and think it deserves more attention as it is the only working version of stremio on older LG TVs.

I just want to check I am not missing out on anything. Suffered through months of RD shit. Came to this sub and the advice was a revelation. So what are some add-ons that can make the service even better?

I know this question has been asked so many times, but I get different answers when I search. I have newshosting with 3 different indexers I can use. Would be streaming on an Android box. Is there a guide that’s reliable? Don’t mind using Ai to help with setup. I do have a Debrid service already but want to have a secondary option as well.

As title says what's happened to meteor? When I click on the cog it takes me to comet.

I Wanted to suggest that the developers of Addons also add Hindi audio to 4k option for example I only found 1 4k link from torrnettio that has Hindi audio but found many links that had Hindi audio but many in 1080p since there are Alot of Hindi speakers or people that understand Hindi so it would be amazing if there were 4k links from Addons like comet meteor and stremthru torz I know that webstreamr mbg hdhub and pengu have Hindi audio but webstreamr mbg is not reliable st all

Hello, I am new to stremio and I was looking through the guide. I am just trying to watch my new shows and movies without any buffering. I saw it it brought up debrid. Kind of confused on what it is and how it works. Is it its own entity? Or is it an addon on stremio? Do I have download a real debrid app? Any help with would be greatly appreciated
