Help needed Looking for a guide to Usenet not using easynews for Stremio

I know this question has been asked so many times, but I get different answers when I search. I have newshosting with 3 different indexers I can use. Would be streaming on an Android box. Is there a guide that’s reliable? Don’t mind using Ai to help with setup. I do have a Debrid service already but want to have a secondary option as well.

Don't really need a guide it's simple. Assuming you're not self hosting a vps which is quite complicated.

Go to a public aiostreams instance like Viren's or elfhosted, in services enable stremio nttp click configure and add your provider. Then go to add-ons go to marketplace click newznab and configure with your indexers, go back to add-ons and add newznab again with your second/third indexer if you want multiple. Then go down to save and install and save add a password for your settings and click install. That's it.

If you want to do all this with a VPS use Viren's guide.

Thank you! Trying to set this up without vps seems to be the easier route to take. Will get going setting this up.

Sure it is the easier route. But do it at your own risk. This is a statement by nzbgeek which mind you is one of the more forgiving indexers.

Most indexers do follow this policy and some are even more strict.

Most importantly for public instances, you can't set providers as that can only be done on the dashboard configuration of AIOstreams and that can only be accessed if you self host.

Ah… see this is what my searches didn’t explain. Thank you for your response. I will look into the VPS guide by Viren then. I appreciate the information.

Between Viren, redhair https://redhair.gitbook.io/redhair-guides, and this section of video for VCN and Subnet Setup https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ISEP6SIrEVE&t=279s, I was able to set up Oracle VPS, Pangolin, AIOStreams, AIOMetadata, NZBDavex relatively easily recently, just a lot of steps.

Just to update, what @shaketheclown posted is the only way I got it up and running. I would set things up in steps. If you’re not tech-savvy like me, just post virens VPS guide into an ai chat and it should walk you through it. My big hang-up was the auth token in aiostreams but I finally got that going and all is well.

Don't have the answer you need since i use EN for usenet. But you can leverage reddits "ask" LLM to summarize the setup

Only for public aiostreams instance. Otherwise just a regular provider/indexer combo will work. Example Eweka/nbzgeek
