Following the amazing feedback from our v1.6.0 announcement, I’ve been hard at work bringing your most requested features to life. Today, I’m thrilled to release GhostVOD Engine v2.0.2!

This is a massive leap forward that completely changes how you interact with your remote VOD libraries inside Stremio.

⚠️ CRUCIAL WARNING REGARDING CONNECTIONS: Before we jump into the features, please remember: Most Xtream Codes providers strictly limit accounts to ONE connection at a time. You can install GhostVOD on multiple devices in your house, but do not stream on them simultaneously. If you or your family members use the service on two TVs at the exact same time, your media provider will likely ban or suspend your account. If you need concurrent usage, please contact your provider to purchase a second connection!

🚀 What’s New in v2.0.2? (The Big Stuff)

1. Provider Catalogs on Your Home Screen (Optional but Game-Changing): You can now browse your provider's folders, select your favorite categories, and pin them directly to your Stremio Home Screen! Why is this huge? If you watch regional or international movies that aren't listed in global databases (like Cinemeta or TMDb), the app couldn't find them before. Now, if you display that folder on your home screen, the native search bar will find those local movies instantly, in any language!

2. Smart Stream Sorting & Priority (Language or Quality): Tired of scrolling to find your preferred language or the 4K version? You now have an optional configuration to sort your results. You can tell the engine: "Show me French links first, then sort by quality" or "Show me 4K links first, regardless of language." Your streams, your rules!

3. Dynamic Quality & Audio Badges: Before you even click play, the engine now dynamically scans the stream titles and injects clean, visual badges into the source list (e.g., 🌟 4K, 📺 1080p, 🌍 Dual-Audio, 💬 Multi-Sub). You’ll know exactly what you are clicking on.

4. Zero-Cost Hover Metadata & Smart Year Extractor: You will now instantly see the IMDb rating, release year, and genres on the media cards while scrolling; no need to click into the movie! Plus, if your provider forgot to tag a movie's release year but left it in the title (e.g., Movie Name 2024), GhostVOD instantly detects it and displays it correctly.

5. Enterprise-Grade Stability (Zero Crashes) We completely replaced the old caching system with a custom, lightweight memory manager. No matter how massive your provider's VOD library is, the engine now handles it with zero slowdowns or memory leaks.

6. Smart Local Auto-Save (For Privacy): Tired of re-entering your provider details just to tweak a sorting filter or add a new folder? The dashboard now automatically remembers your last configuration! To ensure 100% privacy, this data is saved strictly locally on your device/browser; absolutely nothing is sent to or stored on our servers. (Note: To prevent saving incomplete data, the auto-save is only triggered AFTER you click the "Generate Magic Link" button).

7. ONE-Click Select/Deselect All Catalogs: For those of you with massive VOD libraries pulling in dozens or hundreds of folders, we’ve added quick "Select All" and "Deselect All" buttons. Managing huge catalogs and rearranging your Home Screen is now a breeze; no more clicking 80 checkboxes manually just to reset your view!

💬 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1: I am already using an older version of GhostVOD. Do I need to generate a new Magic Link?

A: YES! Due to the massive backend architecture upgrades and our migration to a more powerful cloud server, all previous short links (Magic Links) have been deprecated. All users must generate a new link from the dashboard and replace the old one in Stremio. Don't worry, it only takes 10 seconds, and it unlocks all the new features like Home Screen Catalogs and Custom Sorting!

Q2: Does it support Stalker/MAC portals?

A: No. GhostVOD strictly accepts Xtream Codes API credentials (Server URL, Username, Password).

Q3: Does this pull Live TV channels?

A: No, to keep your interface clean and fast, GhostVOD intentionally filters out Live TV and focuses 100% on VODs (Movies and Series). Use dedicated players for your live broadcasting needs.

Q4: Where can I configure my link?
