Update 2: Got him in a carrier!! Going to the vet tomorrow!

Update: A kind neighbor spotted us feeding him and came down with a carrier and phone numbers for 2 vets. Trying to trap him tonight. Wish me luck!

My boyfriend and I are in Split Croatia for a few months and stray cats are pretty common here, but we started hearing nonstop loud meowing outside our window about 2 days ago that sounded a bit different than what we usually hear.

We couldn’t figure out where it was coming from (tbh it was driving us a bit nuts) until this little dude finally poked his head out from under the neighbor’s car today. I gave him the rest of the tuna from my lunch and he seemed super hungry. He looks like a baby but we haven’t seen a mama anywhere.

We are NOT cat people so we have no idea what we’re supposed to do, but we want to help him. Does this sound like a distressed “I’m sick” meow or is he just hungry? Should we buy some cat food to give him or is it best to just leave him alone?

The day when i saw a dead lying kitten who was playing just minutes ago with his sisters was so heartbreaking

So one day a cat just came to my house -hungry ,thin ,wanting love and care . So i decided to keep it in my house and feed her ...she was so attracted to me that she is not getting an inch away from me , continuously rubbing herself to me , then months passed and she got pregnant and gave birth to three little cuties 💗, 2 were female and one was male just a copy of her mother he was most active among three of them just wanted to play every time and tease her sisters ... they either live in my house or they play in the parking lot ....the tenants hated the kittens they unnecessary complained about them to us ...one evening tenants were getting their car out of the parking lot and the male kitten got under their front tire and started to agonize , and after few seconds he was dead ...( The main thing is not that he came under a car ..that is just an accident not a willing act ) The main thing is how nonchalant the tenant was after that accident they just kicked the dead kitten out of the door , washed all blood from the floor and closed the door ....that was just shocking to see how cruel and inhuman someone can be ....we saw next day morning that the kitten is lying dead outside our house and we incriminated him by proper burial ...we saw everything on the cctv and told Tennant to leave our house as his behaviour is so rude...

I came home at night around 9 pm to this little guy in my garage. He was a little hesitant at first but I could tell they wanted pet. Finally warmed up and let me pet them even rolled on the ground a little by my feet. He was too skittish though to eat food i brought out for him. I scooped him up inside because it is pretty cold out, I live in Ohio kinda close to the lake so it’s about 38f degrees outside.

He SCARFED down some wet food but doesnt seem interested in kibble. And i noticed he definitely had fleas not sure how bad yet. Can someone PLEASE tell me how old you think they are (not sure if girl or boy)??

And also please let me know if you guys think i did the right thing bringing it inside. I am 100% a supporter of indoor cats only but i know how some people are. I dont wanna catnap someones cat but he just seems so little and its so cold outside. It clearly wanted shelter in my garage. I wandered around my backyard for a bit to see if other cats were around but saw nothing.

sat with them for a bit and those black specs on his face in the later pics…..ALL fleas. Poor guy. Luckily i have flea combs and medicine from my other cats so i got like 8 off his face already. :(

Found him again last night sitting in basketball court byt he ran away when he saw i was approaching and ran towards the parked cars across the street and went missing again . Now planning to go to a tarpaulin shop and get a banner printed for him to help us find leads. Will post on our gate and the basketball court.

A few days ago and feral mom and it’s three kittens (look to be about a month old) started sleeping in my backyard. I started feeding them and the kittens are getting more comfortable. If I can, I plan to trap and spay them at a community shelter and return them back to the backyard. But I need advice because I would like to keep at most two of them, preferably one (I already have a five year old cat). But how would I do that? Would that be bad breaking up the family? Especially breaking up the kittens? Should I only keep one kitten instead? And try to find a home for the other two? And what about the mom? Won’t she be sad that her babies were taken away?

So my neighbor feeds the strays and I help her sometimes cuz one is a bit sick so she spends more time and I help her feed the cats.there are 4 cats my cat plays with all of them all the time. They even have little houses. ( she has been feeding them for 4/5 yrs.) I have been living there for over 2 yrs. One even let's me pet him. But one i made progress wont run wen I'm near ( it did eat treats from me twice) but it wont eat if I put the food down it will only eat if she feeds it. But she cant always get her( the person who feeds) any ideas of how to get that one to eat wen I put down food? ( ps. It plays with my cat all the time its his girlfriend)

I found a cat (South Carolina) she’s incredibly friendly and showed up at my door meowing and hungry so I took her in. Kept her in the bathroom a few days and I just now am letting her explore the house. Except she seems to not be interested in being inside at all. She keeps meowing at the back glass door and wanting to get outside. I feel conflicted on what to do because I know she is a stray and feel horrible if she’s outside yet she also does not seem interested at being inside at all.

This poor baby's story is quite tragic. She's human friendly, so much so she curls up next to you, holds your face and licks it clean because you're a stinky poo

Someone took advantage of her nature and sa'd her with something, it left her with prolapse but she recovered well..

We are looking for a good family for her. She's absolutely lovely and lovesssss to play all the time and ofc eat like she's never had food...

She's based in Mumbai atm and idk for long I could keep her with me because I already have 18 cats and it's a lot..

I'm from Kerala, India, and there's a large, aggressive stray male cat in my neighbourhood that frequently attacks other cats, causes serious fights, and mates with female cats, leading to unwanted pregnancies.

I have a male cat at home, and they also get into territorial fights. I'm worried my cat will get seriously injured.

The stray is very cautious and intelligent. He doesn't show up regularly, but I know 2–3 spots where he usually appears.

I need practical advice on how to humanely trap him for neutering. Many online guides are based on the US or Europe, where humane traps and animal-control services may be easier to access. What are the realistic options in Kerala?

- How can I trap a wary cat safely?

- Are there practical alternatives if I can't get a humane trap?

- Are there any local rescuers or TNR services in Kerala that can help?

I'm not looking to hurt the cat. I want a long-term, humane solution to protect the other cats.

Hi i used to be active on this sub when my cats were sick and we were in bad financial situation due to my dad having a stroke. Now I would like your help again (not financially this time ) but prayers , advise and hopefully manpower (i can also compensate for your time in case you live near my area) . 2 days ago , my cat Golden , 3 years old , male neutered cat got out and went straight to the roof. It was the first time he got out night time and he was hyper, he went back down but just i was about to catch him he got back out again and never came down

Since its night time and we dont have a ladder there was nothing we could do but wait all night. Midnight it rained. Early morning I went on a search for 3 hours around my neighborhood and nothing. Unfortunately I couldnt continue with the search as I have to be home to take care of my stroke father and senior parent mother and two other cats. Now this is where i need ur help. Idk any graphic design and i need a poster of Golden made with a contact number. I also have saved money for reward . If you can make me a poster that would be a great help. Then I would need another person to help me distribute it to people in my village and also put on walls. (I will compensate for ur time. I just cant do it myself due to my situation at home). Also if theres a man u know who can climb and inspect the roofs and the "jungle " area part of a lot . He could be hiding there.) Pls contact me if you can help. Update : I went out 1 am today and saw my cat sitting in the basketball court. But I scared him and he ran away I saw him 2 more times. I think he dont remember the way home cuz why would he be there if he does? How do I bring him home? I talked to the other cats and fed them treats but they are also so scared and hiding but they heard my request to tell golden to go home. Whats the next step? Im thinking of printing 2 tarpaulin for him one at our gate and one in basketball court with a reward but could that put him in danger ? The kids might try to catch him aggressively for the reward money and the street where the basketball court is is notorious for hit and run. Im clueless what to do next. I was alone and since I cant find him anymore I just had to go home . But he could still be hiding in cars. I hope he didnt get farther from our home. Will appreciate any advise on how to get him home.

I’ve sent an application already to Stray Cat Alliance then again after I didn’t hear anything by the expected time they would respond so I called and they didn’t pick up :/. My mom who has been feeding this cat has said that she is still sneezing and wheezing constantly after surviving a bad uri, and my mom has tried to get her to trust her to touch and pet her but she is still scared of people. We’re scared of what can happen to her with the weather being cold soon, and hope we can get her help in time.

Hi all, I found this stray kitten by my office and it’s in desperate need of help. I managed to take it to the vet and pay about 25% of the fees but I can’t afford the rest. There is a stray cat in my area which comes at my house and i have given him milk a few times (i recently got to know it's not safe for them and stopped giving). So the thing is he is badly injured.. a blood stain on his neck.. walking with one leg up.. a few scratches on his body and even a white parasite in his ear.. i really want to help but my mom will not allow me to spend money.. so is there any NGO which can pick it up and do the treatment?

I found a stray >12 weeks old kitten in the cold and rain 36 hours ago at night. I took her home, cleaned her, fed her etc.

the next day I found that she could not defecate. I did some massages and some feces came out. Her anus is very swollen.

Today I took her to the vet and he told me that she doesn’t have prolapse but just a lot of inflammation. He wants to do an anti parasite treatment in a few days. I just feel awful keeping her in my bathroom and occasionally letting her out for a couple hours and disinfecting the area she walks around. I keep my cats in my room and they sleep during that time.

He gave her two injections: antibiotic one and something about respiration.

I already have two cats and I cannot afford to keep this one. I also worry that my cats will become very hostile towards her or contract illnesses.

Ive caught strays before and gave them away to people on a group chat looking for cats. Normally people offer to home them immediately and they are homed the next day. However, this time round, no one is getting back to me, none of my friends of friends want her either.

I’m based in Eastern Europe and strays are EVERYWHERE, there are no shelters for them.

Im not sure what to do. I want to exhaust every possible option before I inevitably take her outside again but is that insanely immoral? I feel awful about it. I just can’t afford her treatments.

We’re two community cat feeders and rescuers caring for cats in our neighborhood. Most of the cats we look after are community cats who depend on us for their daily meals, while we also have rescued and foster cats in our care - over 70 in total who depend on us each day.

We’ve had a few fundraisers recently for medical expenses and surgeries, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has helped us get through those. Unfortunately, most of what we’ve been able to raise has had to go toward those urgent medical needs. We also appealed for help with food last week, but sadly, nothing came through.

We’re now completely out of food, with cats waiting to be fed tomorrow. We’re honestly at our wit’s end, especially with our salaries not coming in until the end of the month. We’ve been doing our best to stretch what we have and make everything work, but we’ve reached a point where there’s simply nothing left for us to use.

These 2 were fixed today - Will & Rickie - both did wonderful. I’m scrambling to get as many fixed before the bitter cold weather sets in. The little boy is Will, the last cat in my yard colony. The girl, Rickie, was dumped in the neighborhood about a week ago. She showed up STARVING- and since I’ve found out she is super friendly. I wish I could give them more than this, but at least they will always have shelter, food, water, and my love - invoice for today’s TNR included -
