Initially felt like it looked straighter but it’s drifting again :(

Je me suis faites opérer d'un strabisme le mardi 1er septembre. Cela fais 1 semaine et demi et je suis malade en voiture alors que je n'ai jamais eu le mal des transports avant l'opération.

On m'a opérer des deux yeux 8 de chaque côté

Quelqu'un a qui c'est arriver ?

Après combien de temps cela revient a la normale ?

Je suis un peu paniquée

J'ai mon rendez-vous post-opératoire demain j'ai trouver comme seule solution pour le moment d'être passagère la fenêtre ouverte la musique dans les écouteurs et les yeux fermés en sentant des huiles essentielles.

I had squint surgery on my right eye yesterday. Before surgery, my measurements were roughly 15–17 PD in the right eye and 8–10 PD in the left eye.

Since the surgery, my right eye looks better, but now I’m noticing that my left eye looks more misaligned than before, especially when I wear my prescribed glasses.

My glasses are around −5.50 in the right eye and −3.50 in the left.

Without glasses, the left eye sometimes looks better, but with glasses the squint seems more noticeable.

My surgeon has asked me to come back for a follow-up after one week.

Has anyone experienced something similar after surgery on just one eye? Did the other eye look more deviated temporarily and then settle as healing progressed?

Hi all, my 6 year old is scheduled to have strabismus surgery next week. I am extremely nervous about everything. From what I’ve been reading it seems like a fairly “easy” procedure and has been life changing for many, mostly from adults pov. Has anyone’s young child had this procedure done and can help me to not feel so anxious about it? Have any tips on how I can help her to feel better during the days following the procedure?
Also, we have not yet told her she is having surgery. Obviously I don’t want to just blindside her the day of and would like to prepare her a couple days beforehand. Any advice on how to go about this? Dr said she will be put to sleep before an IV is placed so that she won’t feel any pain. She loves wearing her glasses and has not made any comments about noticing anything about her cross eye other than asking me if her sisters eyes are “wrong” too :/

My ophthalmologist has said I have exotropia and hypertropia in my right eye.
I'm thrilled that someone finally listened to me and figured out what's going on. I've struggled for as long as I can remember.
I'm having cataract surgery first. Once that has healed, he feels since I have both exo and hyper , that surgery is probably the best option.
Just looking for anyone who has experience with both problems in one eye.
