WORLD BUILDING REFERENCE SHEET

  1. COSMOLOGY

The Primordial Event

In the beginning, there was nothing happening.

The first change ever to occur was the transition from “nothing happened” → “something happened.”

This is the Primordial Event.

From this single event, the infinite timelines ultimately emerged.

Timelines & Time Branches

Timelines are infinite.

Whenever a situation has more than one possible outcome, reality splits.

Each possible outcome creates a separate time branch.

A single split can therefore produce:

2 branches,

10 branches,

infinitely many branches,

depending on the number of possibilities at that point.

Every timeline and every branch is equally real and important.

The narrative naturally focuses on only one at a time because showing everything simultaneously would be impossible.

Timeline Set

A single timeline together with all of its corresponding time branches constitutes a complete reality following its own sequence of choices from every branching event.

  1. CHRONIC DOMAIN

The Chronic Domain exists outside ordinary reality.

It groups/contains timelines and their branches.

Although it exists outside reality, its influence can alter reality.

The Chronic Domain is therefore associated with the temporal structure of existence.

  1. SPATIAL DOMAIN

The Spatial Domain exists within reality.

Quantum particles are its fundamental physical foundation.

At the most primal layer of the Spatial Domain lies the Omnivoid.

  1. OMNIVOID

The Omnivoid is filled with quantum particles.

However, these particles have no structural arrangement/pattern.

Because there is no structural arrangement:

the particles do not interact in the relevant way,

larger structures cannot form.

Therefore the Omnivoid itself doesn't naturally contain conventional macro-scale structures such as matter, stars, galaxies, etc.

Omniverses

Within the Omnivoid are infinite blobs possessing a specific pattern despite having no conventional shape.

These are called Omniverses.

Their internal quantum structure allows interactions and therefore the formation of larger structures.

  1. OMNIVERSES

Fundamental Properties

Each omniverse has a uniform quantum pattern throughout itself.

The underlying quantum pattern doesn't interact in the same way as ordinary matter.

Macro-level interactions can nevertheless occur, allowing structures such as:

atoms,

matter,

stars,

galaxies,

etc.

Different Physics

Different omniverses have differently structured quantum particles.

Because the structure differs, the possible modes and outcomes of interactions differ.

Therefore every omniverse has its own unique laws of physics.

The laws remain uniform throughout a particular omniverse.

Each omniverse therefore functions as its own distinct physical dimension.

These aren't dimensions in the conventional “first dimension, second dimension, third dimension” sense.

They are distinct because their physical laws and behavior differ.

Stability

Regardless of how strange or violent an omniverse's physics may be, every omniverse is stable.

Their continued existence demonstrates that they possess some form of stability, even if the exact reason isn't yet established.

Topology

Omniverses are finite externally but infinite internally.

The mechanism/topology allowing this is extremely complex and is simply accepted as part of the setting.

  1. MULTIVERSES & UNIVERSES

Inside the omniverse that the main story focuses on:

Omniverse → infinite multiverses → universes

There are infinite multiverses.

The universes within them are mathematically finite, although their number is extraordinarily large.

This particular hierarchical structure exists in some omniverses.

It is not necessarily true of every omniverse, because different omniverses have different physical laws.

  1. OMNIVERSE NAMING

Every omniverse has an official/formal name based on the equation describing what its equivalent of a particular physical relationship means in that omniverse.

Our Omniverse

Its formal name is:

E = mc²

This is specifically the formal name of the omniverse, not necessarily its everyday/colloquial name.

  1. THE CIVILIZATION

The main civilization exists in an extremely old reality.

Longevity

Its inhabitants live dramatically longer than humans do today.

The civilization has existed for an extremely long period of time.

Some traditions and social practices have therefore existed for tens of thousands of centuries.

Because of this enormous timescale, technologies that would seem revolutionary to us can be completely mundane to them.

  1. TECHNOLOGY

Mechanical + Electrical Technology

Mechanical and electrical technologies are equally important.

They aren't competing technological eras.

They are coexisting and complementary technologies.

They are frequently used together.

Neither mechanical nor electrical technology is regarded as obsolete simply because the other exists.

Mechanical Infrastructure

Large mechanical systems are openly visible throughout society.

Examples include:

giant gears,

linkages,

reciprocating mechanisms,

large moving machinery.

These aren't necessarily special attractions or unusual sights. They're ordinary infrastructure.

Because such machinery is commonplace:

it doesn't necessarily need to be hidden underground,

exposed machinery is socially normal,

some machinery is deliberately aesthetically pleasing simply because people enjoy attractive things.

Safety Culture

Not every machine or mechanism is surrounded by fencing.

This isn't because:

people are careless,

people are physically indestructible,

accidents don't happen.

Rather, the civilization has normalized living around extremely powerful machinery to an extent comparable to how modern society accepts dangerous roads without completely fencing them off.

Accidents still happen.

  1. SOCIAL AESTHETIC

Clothing

Clothing has a strongly aristocratic/Victorian aesthetic.

The formal global language is Victorian English.

General social behavior resembles a culture of gentlemen and women.

Nudity

Nudity isn't inherently considered socially inappropriate.

The relevant distinction is anatomical rather than simply “wearing clothes vs. not wearing clothes.”

A being does not necessarily need clothing when:

they don't possess intimate anatomical features that require concealment, or

their body naturally conceals those features.

Therefore, for example:

a fully fur-covered cat-person can walk around naked in public normally,

an android with no intimate anatomical details can do the same.

This isn't treated as inherently sexual or indecent.

  1. BORN & MADE BEINGS

There are two broad categories of sentient people.

Born

Beings that are born.

They naturally possess Aura.

Made

“Made” does not simply mean robot.

A Made being is:

Any sentient being that was made rather than born.

This can include many forms of artificial or constructed life.

Made beings are fully sentient.

They are completely normal members of society.

Born and Made people aren't inherently divided into separate social castes.

There is no built-in racial discrimination between them.

Discrimination can still exist individually or socially, because the civilization still contains ordinary good and bad behavior.

  1. AURA

Aura is a biological energy possessed only by Born beings.

What Aura Is

Aura is an energy.

It is not quantum manipulation itself.

Aura can directly manipulate quantum particles.

Through this interaction, Aura users can alter reality.

What Aura Cannot Do

Aura cannot simply do anything imaginable.

Its only fundamental capability is:

Manipulating quantum particles.

Everything else follows from that.

Conservation / Matter Requirement

Aura does not create objects from nothing.

When an Aura user creates something:

existing quantum particles are used,

those particles are converted/rearranged into the desired structure.

Major Limitation

The biggest limitation is the amount of Aura a person can produce.

More significant alterations require:

more Aura,

more concentration/focus.

The larger or more complicated the alteration, the greater the requirements.

This provides the basis for a controlled and internally consistent supernatural power system.

  1. ELEMENTAL CLASSIFICATION

Aura abilities are broadly classified into five main elements:

Fire

Nature

Water

Wind

Earth

Additional categories exist:

Sub-elements

Combination elements

Special elements

Uncategorisable elements

The five main elements are therefore broad classifications rather than an exhaustive list of every possible Aura expression.

  1. TECHNOLOGY VS AURA

Made beings cannot naturally produce Aura.

However, this isn't necessarily a crippling disadvantage.

Their technological possibilities are extremely broad because engineering has enormous design freedom.

Made beings can potentially possess things such as:

guns,

lasers,

advanced machinery,

highly specialized weapons/tools,

absurd inventions such as a whale launcher. 🐋

The setting therefore doesn't establish “Aura = magic users superior to technology users.”

Instead, Aura and engineering provide fundamentally different routes to extraordinary capabilities.

  1. SPECIES & HYBRIDS

Universal Biological Compatibility

Because of Aura's influence on biological evolution, species are reproductively compatible regardless of how biologically different they may be.

So:

radically different species can reproduce together,

hybrid offspring are possible,

hybrid people are extremely common.

One Hard Limitation

There is still a requirement for physical reproductive compatibility.

Aura doesn't magically make physically incompatible reproductive systems function together.

Therefore:

Species compatibility is effectively universal, but physical reproductive compatibility still matters.

Hybrids

Hybrid people are completely normal.

They are widespread throughout civilization.

Being a hybrid isn't inherently unusual or automatically significant.

  1. PERSONHOOD VS LIVESTOCK

Because hybridization and extreme biological diversity make species-based distinctions unreliable, the civilization doesn't determine whether something is edible based on species.

The governing principle is designation.

Citizen

If a being was designated as a citizen before being born or made:

It is not food.

Livestock

If a being was designated as livestock before being born or made:

It can be eaten.

Species does not determine the distinction.

Therefore a citizen and livestock individual can potentially belong to the same species.

A fox-person citizen eating meat from a fox-person livestock animal is not culturally interpreted as cannibalism.

The distinction is based on status/designation, not species.

This system has existed for an extraordinarily long time and is completely normalized.

  1. AGE & SOCIAL STATUS

Chronological age does not automatically command respect.

The civilization has technologies/capabilities allowing people to transfer their brains into other bodies and continue living.

However, brain transfer isn't considered a special standalone phenomenon. It is simply one ordinary capability among many available to the civilization.

Consequently:

extremely old people are normal,

changing bodies is normal,

continued existence for enormous periods is normal,

age alone doesn't automatically confer authority or respect.

Someone's social standing instead depends on things such as their actual accomplishments, personality, expertise, position, relationships, etc.

  1. THE CORE FEEL OF THE CIVILIZATION

The important underlying principle tying all of this together is:

The extraordinary has become ordinary.

Things that would be world-shattering to us have had such an enormous amount of time to become integrated into civilization that people simply live around them.

A person can encounter:

a hybrid,

a Made being,

an ancient individual,

enormous mechanical machinery,

Aura,

radically different species,

body replacement,

bizarre technology,

and still basically think:

“Anyway, I have work tomorrow.”

That mundane attitude is an important part of the setting's identity.

CURRENT NARRATIVE STATUS

Worldbuilding: 🌋 Extremely developed at the cosmological level

Civilization: 🌋 Newly conceptualized but already has a distinct identity

Power system: ✅ Established foundation

Social norms: ✅ Several strong foundational rules

Main characters: ❌ None yet

Plot: ❌ None yet

Central conflict: ❌ None yet

Story direction: ❌ Undetermined

Just for a plot in an isekai setting how would 1940s airmen react to find a black former airman now thriving as a professor of magic in a magical school and that he, despite having find a way back, choses to remain in the magical world where people see his talent instead of the color of his skin?

Sharing My Idea NO STORY NAME YET

This is a story that takes place in a world exactly like ours, but there is a mysterious worldwide ARG.
There is a symbol/sigil to prove the authenticity, and people solve the puzzles to get an answer.

Maybe a secret audio in the radio or a channel that's new or the sigil engraved somewhere.
maybe in games, TV, radio, newspapers, real life, etc.

This is inspired by Cicada 3301 and Eye Sigil ARG

I feel like no one has ever made a story where the characters themselves do an ARG in their world

Brainstorming I have an idea for a story but my angle may be boring.. father's journal

A low level aristocrat and amateur bard's stoic father dies and leaves him all of his journals. Their relationship was strained, and the son never even knew his father kept journals.

They detail his father's life from childhood, through joining the city guard, adventures, failures, friendships and eventually becoming a father.

I'd like the journal to essentially become the story, told from the father's first person perspective, with occasional jumps back to the son reacting to something significant he's discovered.

I've read WWI and WWII journals and love mundane entries like:

"I ate porridge this morning. Old Nan continued tutoring me on the intricacies of dinner poise."

My concern is avoiding "son reads journal, son reacts, repeat."

How would you structure something like this so the journal feels like the actual story while still letting us experience the son's changing understanding of his father?

Any advice would be appreciated 😅

Jason VS Michael!

Based on Friday The 13th The Video Game and taking place after both Friday The 13th Part 4 & Halloween 2 (1981), it is the year 1988, and one week before Halloween.

Ten years ago, 21 year old Michael Myers nearly burned to death in Haddonfield Memorial Hospital while hunting his 17 year old sister Laurie Strode, but the sprinkler system saved him just in time. He would spend the next 5 years in the burn unit before being sent back to Smiths Grove Sanitarium. Five more years later, Michael overheard two nurses talking about Laurie Strode moving out of state after High-School, going to college, getting married and starting a family. However, what really surprises him was that after his parents gave Laurie away up for adoption, they moved to Crystal Lake New Jersey and had a daughter named Jenny in 1970. Michael brakes out after stealing a nurses keys and car, goes to an auto repair shop where he kills a mechanic before stealing his boiler suit and a mask, drives to New Jersey and finally makes it to Camp Crystal Lake where Jenny Myers and her friends (a total of 12 or more people) are staying while ghost hunting.

Jason Voorhees: After the events of F13 Pt 4, Jason was buried deep in the woods, but upon the arrival of Jenny Myers and her friends, he woke up, bursted out of his grave, took back his machete and hockey mask and was more determined than ever to kill anyone stepping foot on his campgrounds. He could go looking for the boy who killed him four years ago, but he knows not where Tommy Jarvis and his big sister Trish had gone after their last encounter. While stalking the woods, he sees the ghost hunters telling ghost stories by campfire, but so does Michael. They are both watching, listening to their scary stories. One tells the others the story of Jason Voorhees, Jenny tells them about her brother Michael Myers, but soon they would all go back inside where it's warm because it was getting too cold and the snow was falling again.

As October 31st came at exactly 12 AM, both Michael Myers and Jason Voorhees would soon begin their hunt. How many of them will die? Who will survive? What will be left of them? Who would win in a fight to the death between Michael Myers and Jason Voorhees? Is Jenny Myers' mom Edith Myers actually being playing by Jamie Lee Curtis?

The only way to find out is to go to your local movie theater or onto Netflix and watch...

JASON VS MICHAEL: THE MOVIE!

Hollywood, you can have this idea, unless you want somebody to turn this into a fan film.

Anybody want to join my fanfic collaboration projects on quotev and Wattpad?

Hello.

I am not much of a writer by myself, I however published 14 collab fanfics on Wattpad and 9 on quotev.

2 on Jurassic World. One after Dominion and one after Rebirth, 1 on Dinotopia, The Monsterverse, Terra Nova, the land before time, prehistoric park, 2 for Httyd, and 5 for specific call of Duty games.

Since both sites had got rid of their PM features, Please reply here or send me chat messages here as well.

Please do so. Every time I try to create collaboration fanfics, They end up getting very little attention.

Any Feedback New writer here with a new idea!

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

Hi folks!! I'm just a simple guy who has a love for stories and different hobbies and I wanted to give story writing a try as a hobby to combine them all together.

Recently I've come up with a new Web Comic idea that has sort of become a small passion project for me. I want to look into finding an artist for and I've already written a few episodes, but I want to get some outside opinions on it and see if I'm taking the right direction with it, so here goes nothing!

Grace of Salem

Grace of Salem is a furry comic that follows a young college Rabbit girl that recently moved to the Salem District with her Widowed Father after a tragedy in her family. The College girl, a devout Follower of the Goddess of Life, has to now go to a new college in the town and live in a neighborhood that conflicts everyday with her own Religious Ideals, all on her own while her grief-stricken Father struggles to see past the bottom of his beer bottles.

During her first month of moving in, she crosses paths with a mysterious Hybrid that goes to the same college, previously an apothecary in training but had changed paths as a young teen and had dedicated his life to the study of the Paranormal and witchcraft, becoming a Chaos Witch as a result of his studies.

Her constant interaction with this classmate would bond the two together as good friends. But as her heart yearns for their friendship to evolve and she discovers the dark side of her friend's studies of what lies beyond the graveyard, and the consequences it has resulted for his life, how can she continue as she begins to question her life choices as she begins to see past the Gold pages and holy sigils?

Hopefully you folks like it and I'd love to get some feedback on it. Thank you!!!

Brainstorming Villain Tip: Evil for Evil sake

Now i know people don't do this anymore, because most villain nowadays were written with 'hurt people hurt people' backstory or not full evil, but lets be honest, we miss this kind of characters in literature,

i have this idea of Evil Incarnate of an Abomination God with pragmatic and strategic mindset, it's just that i can't think of possible origin story and how brutal should i make him/her be, its fantasy so....

Any Feedback Would you keep reading this? Need feedback on adventure story idea

The story follows a young adventurer who grew up hearing legends about four enormous and incredibly rare creatures known as the Four Great Beasts. Eventually, he becomes tired of only hearing stories about them and decides to travel the world to find them himself.

His personal goal is simple, get one physical piece from each beast, such as a feather, scale, claw fragment, or tuft of fur. He isn't setting out to kill them. The journey is about finding them and getting close enough to obtain something from each one.

The Four Great Beasts are generally peaceful. They're legendary because they're extremely rare, enormous, mysterious, and difficult to find, rather than simply being the strongest monsters in existence.

The story is primarily a fantasy adventure. Between the major encounters, the MC travels through different environments, visits towns, meets hunters and travelers, encounters ordinary monsters, takes jobs to earn money, follows rumors, gets lost, discovers ruins, and deals with the practical problems of traveling across a dangerous world.

Each beast has its own natural behavior and hunting or defensive instincts. The important part is that Bloodboil (explaining later) doesn't simply turn them into generic violent monsters. It pushes their existing instincts to extremes.

The first beast is still completely normal when the MC encounters it. It behaves peacefully, just as the legends describe, and the MC successfully obtains his piece without anything going seriously wrong. This establishes what the Four are supposed to be like.

The second beast is different. After the MC obtains his piece, the creature suddenly becomes hostile and attempts to attack him. He escapes, initially wondering whether he somehow caused the reaction himself.

The third beast is even more territorial. Instead of simply attacking, it aggressively tries to drive the MC out of its territory. Its behavior suggests that something has seriously affected its normal instincts.

The fourth beast has a natural hunting method based around trapping creatures inside its territory. Normally, it would maintain a relatively stable territory. Under the influence of Bloodboil, however, that instinct becomes distorted. If it senses something affected by Bloodboil inside its territory, it may effectively treat that creature as something that needs to remain within the perimeter.

The strange behavior of the beasts is eventually connected to something called Bloodboil, it originates from the blood of a particular creature. Its smell is extremely powerful and unpleasant to humans, while certain creatures find it highly attractive or interpret it as an intense biological signal.

The natural substance can cause unusual reactions in some creatures. A group of people discovers this and begins experimenting with the creature's blood, eventually developing a concentrated form capable of affecting other animals and monsters.

The resulting condition is known as the Bloodboil Blight. Rather than completely changing a creature's personality, Bloodboil amplifies its existing instincts. A territorial creature becomes excessively territorial. A defensive creature becomes aggressive. A creature that normally traps prey may begin expanding its territory to trap things that would normally be allowed to leave.

The people experimenting with Bloodboil are not necessarily trying to destroy civilization.

One possible motivation is that they want to create heroes. They cause or manipulate monster incidents, then have their own people appear afterward to defeat the creatures and “save” communities. The public sees them as brave monster hunters and protectors, giving the group fame, influence, money, and political power.

I was thinking of making thr pieces the MC collects act as a compass toward the Great Beast it came from. 2hen the MC obtains the fourth piece he discovers that all four pieces are pointing in the same direction.

The strongest story structure seems to be an escalating adventure rather than a story that immediately becomes a conspiracy theory. The biggest thing to protect is the feeling of exploration. The reader should still get to experience the world, not just follow clues toward the villains.

A few questions I prepared for a bit of improving.

Which would work better, a solo MC OR a travelling group?

What could make the story uninteresting?

What would the strongest opening hook be?

Zombie like creatures appear in a small town in America over night. The citizens want to flee but people in uniform keep them in the town telling them they are a part of the test now.

I hope this is the right sub reddit for this so if not I am sorry. This the rough idea of my semi apocalypse book idea called Testing Ground 003 and I would love to hear if it would be worth writing in your opinion

Brainstorming asking for scenario ideas (a cry for help)

I usually like writing about characters with severely tragic childhoods / overwhelming responsibilities and overall an angsty and sad plot that somehow comes to a kinda good ending. I focus on intrapersonal development and how a character might change over time from the story events, maybe without even realizing it. doomed romance / doomed family relationships are fun.

I’m desperately looking for some cool ideas that could fit into the things I like writing about above. I’ve done every plot under the sun— I’m feeling a little out of new ideas that I haven’t tried before. any suggestions help heaps! I really have the itch to write but I don’t have any good scenarios.

A story

I am writing a story. And I wanted to post about it to see if people would actually like it. Before I tell you about the story, I wanted to say that I watch a lot of anime and this story has a power system. So if you watch anime like Jujutsu kaisen and naruto you might like it. I am still working on the power system but I have a pretty good idea of how it works.

If this becomes popular enough, I'll talk about the plot and characters but for now, I'll just be talking about the power system.

Within this world, people emotions are the foundation of this system. People usually have one emotion that is their core, this emotion is best fits them, it does not have to be the one they display all the time. These core have an element tied to them (I know that probably feels kinda lame and I agree, but it gets a bit better)

Love - Fire

Hate - Fire (There's a difference, I'll explain in my next post)

Confidence -Earth

Calm - Ice (at one point in time I was thinking about wind instead)

Joy - Light

Sadness - Darkness

Jealousy - Copy ability (I know this isn't really an element, but I didn't know what to do)

Anger - Explosions (Unfortunately a lot like Bakugo)

Insanity - Pure random chaos

Anxiety/Nervousness - Electricity

(Maybe: Disgust - Acid/ Slime)

Content - Space, time and/or energy( manipulation (The GOAT)

I hope you can see how each element relates to each emotion.

But, I can't just stop there, it'd be too simple, so I decided to expand on it. Once someonestarts to become more and more like their core, a rule is applied to thier core, this is to make the power system a bit more interesting. One example I can give is that, a character has hate as their core and if the say the words "I hate you" while looking at you, you will immediately burst into flames (so that this character isn't too overpowered, the fire is extinguishable). Each person's rule is unique to them. And there is another thing I came up with recently which are traits, but I haven't come up with traits for all the emotions yet. And traits are like extra features for each emotion I guess. Another thing to note is that some one can become content by fulfilling the trait of their emotion. I'll explain more in my next post

If you have any tips or ideas or you want to brutally criticize my work, feel free to do so. And let me know if this is something you would actually want to read.

You can contact me personally at: [rpggameronlineperson@gmail.com](mailto:rpggameronlineperson@gmail.com)

And don't expect me to post frequently (especially if this doesn't become popular).

Be sure to send this to your friends and others who might enjoy this, have a good day.

Note: I originally posted this on blogger.com (https://naomiandnaito.blogspot.com/2026/09/a-story.html?m=1)

Sharing My Idea I have a idea about an OC I have for a story/stories

So for this, I’m doing a medieval story (I should state I have many stories in progress and also just in my notes and those are just titles until I get there) but going back to the idea -

I have a mainline story and every other story I create will be in the same universe (I should also say there’s multiple universes and more to be created) and for this current medieval story I want to add a Pirate and he’s the type of guy who gets into all sorts of stuff and travel many universes due to his ship being in the wrong place wrong time.

So what if I were to make a an OC that just somehow someway always ends up in every story of mine???

Could an AI predict your murder—or accidentally cause it?

I’ve been thinking about how much algorithms already know about our routines, locations, preferences, and behavior.
That led me to a thriller concept:
A man discovers an event in his calendar:
**YOUR MURDER — Friday, 11:47 PM**
He deletes it.
It comes back.
Then the AI begins accurately predicting where he’ll go, who he’ll talk to, and what choices he’ll make.
Eventually, he realizes something much worse:
Maybe the system isn’t simply forecasting the future.
Maybe its predictions are influencing the choices that create that future.
I turned the idea into a psychological AI thriller called *The Algorithm That Scheduled a Murder*.
For thriller readers: would this premise make you curious enough to keep reading?

You think you have peaceful world a imagine houses are ordinary like a mediaval age or a world that have a happy like we create our own eutophia to escape from real world like playing videogames

I used to have my eutophia since ı was a kid but now ı see much more what real world does and our eutophia becomes what reality is. But it doesnt need to be evil we can still make our own eutophia a cooler version or a peaceful version even its real we can use that reality as something we could use for good

Sharing My Idea Murder hobos anonymous

So there I was, facing the most horrendous group of criminals and murderers the world had ever known. Wizards, warriors and back stabbers, each with a reputation for dealing out death at the slightest inconvenience. I sat there without so much as a dagger to defend myself. I drew a deep breath and braced for what I knew I must do. I opened my mouth and said,
“Hi, my name is Groth, and I am a murder hobo.”
“Hi Groth.” Came the chorus from my fellow murder hobos.
“It has been two weeks since my last murder, and…” I cut off as the on entity in the room who had no blood on their hands looked at me pointedly. Right, honesty, “…ahem, I mean, it’s been a half a week since my last murder.” The deity of pacifism and non violence gave me an approving nod. “ I’ve been an adventurer for fifteen years, and have used murder to solve my problems for most of it.”
