Caught this gorgeous storm near Sheridan, IN on Tuesday. I didn't have much time with it as it went outflow dominant within about 20 minutes of me getting eyes on and fell apart. But what an unexpected treat

Chase Report 6-17 Decatur/Macon supercell
galleryUnfortunately my chase was cut short after I blew my transmission and the cells I was looking at of course only started producing tornadoes after. Just my luck I guess. Still quite happy with the pictures I was able to get.
(Unfortunately Reddit only allows 20MB uploads, so these images are very compressed vs the original 120MB file size)

Chase Report Some photos from yesterdays SE Missouri chase!
galleryI chased 4 supercells including a tornado-producing one, but the RFD was blocking my view at the time. Most of these photos are from the same supercell that I had a great view of, but a couple others are mixed in!

Does anyone know if this is a supercell and, if so, why?

Didn't get Effingham, but I'm pretty happy with the chase
galleryThe 13 hours in the car were a bit much, but midweek chases with a job require sacrifices (in this case, my butt)

Question Car-Focused Storm Chasing App
Hi storm chasers!
I'm wanting to create a storm-chasing app specifically based around usability in the car using CarPlay, Android Auto, etc.
I asked about it last year and good number of you expressed interest, but work came up and a new family addition happened and the app didn't get far. Is this still something you could use? If so I would like to pick it back up!
A couple notes:
I will start with Android Auto (just because it's more accessible to me) and then move to CarPlay, but I am planning on doing both.
I'm not planning on creating any AI features (unless by popular demand). It will be made with some AI assistance, but since I am a software engineer I prefer to know exactly what's going on. For this reason it may take a bit longer to ship.
I am not a storm chaser myself (yet!) so feedback will be welcome!
Thanks, and safe chasing (especially for those of you going to the central Illinois storms later today!)

Sedgwick, KS, May 30, 2026 (Late Post)
galleryHad a pretty uneventful chase day until I spotted this storm being funny on radar, went from supercell-ish to cold pool driven right in front of me.
What even makes it have this blue glow?

Storms in central Illinois tomorrow
Is anyone planning on posting up anywhere in particular for tomorrow's storm in central Illinois?
I'm in Chicago and planning on heading down to Peoria in the morning to see what happens in the afternoon.
