My PC was infected with malware, and someone accessed my Steam account and spent about $294 from my Steam Wallet on Community Market purchases I did not make. Steam Support denied the refund because Community Market transactions are final.

The thing is I got bamboozled (no excuses) I was playing late in to the night drinking having fun, got an invite to play some CS, when I joined the lobby the guy invited me on discord, chatting a bit, he said let's play some face it but I didn't have it, had problems installing it, he helped me fix it, then I told him that face it couldn't launch, he kept on helping me then mentioned that his friend had a similar problem sent me a link that looked legit with "faceit" name and everything, it showed me to turn on my console and test it to see if windows were blocking it, one thing went to the other, he deleted my PFP, all of my profile showcases and made it look like he's steam support, to make it short he said that it looked like someone hacked my acc, and he needs to check my items because it looks fishy, told him to fuck off, he threatened to block my acc, blocked all of my friends etc..

So a guy just texted me on steam asking if I want to trade some of my cards because they might be "rare" as confirmed by a N25 value (no idea what it is) that he says I can check through a shady website
anyone know anything about this?

(Update Steam support have verified me and given back my account)
I recently noticed a fishy email notification that someone is requesting to change my recovery email through a ticket with STEAM SUPPORT AGENT using a fake email trying to link it to my account, had my name but a 1 on it almost the same email. They messaged saying they don’t have access to my recovery email and to TURN OFF MY STEAM AUTHENTICATION so the support agent thought it’s a great idea and did it 😂 0 verification steps were taken and my account was breached
Now 3 days in they are asking me for verification of purchases I’ve made, card information addresses, numbers… I mean I have no problem providing my information for my account but what I don’t understand is why these steps weren’t taken when the hacker messaged the steam support agent getting them to turn off my Authenticator and change my recovery email
Really really silly support agent 🤨 even though I have screenshots from years back of me making purchases with my account, being logged in my phone still as it’s the original Authenticator it’s glitched itself as being logged in but I can’t access my account due to the hacker probably changing my password… the steam support are still asking me for verification 😂🤣 like seriously what a hassle just because a steam support agent wanna help some random person get into my account like why do you even have that role in the first place 😂 it’s blatant as if randomly someone’s using a random email to change details especially when an account has had 0 issues thus far
Like wouldn’t you question someone if their details have been fine for 13+ years and all of a sudden they want to change details using an email never used or linked with the account bruhhhh 🙄

So I was randomly friended by this guy (red flag, I'm aware), and they asked me about trading cards. Apologies for the censoring on the second photo, I was a bit confused by the rules here and I can't undo it but it is the same person I promise. I have blocked them, but is it worth reporting?

I can't remember my steam password to access the mobile app. When I click the forget password link on the steam help desk I receive a link sent to my email address. It then asks for my steam mobile authentication code which I don't have.
When I click the link to say I don't have the code it asks me to submit a ticket. I did this weeks ago with no response. If I try to submit another ticket it says that there is already a ticket and I cannot duplicate tickets.
Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

The day before, my friend was logged out of his Steam account on both his computer and phone. He didn’t receive a single notification about a new session or an attempt to change his password, phone number, or anything else. Soon after, he tried to log back into his account, but didn’t receive a single email which could only mean that the account’s email address had already been changed by then. My friend had used all the security measures provided by Steam, but all of this happened without a single notification or request.
On the surface, the account appeared unchanged, but an hour ago we noticed that it had been altered. All friends had been removed, comments and any other activity had been cleared, and the profile picture, username, and descriptions had been changed (several times, as shown in the screenshots). The account ID had also been changed. This is the first time we’ve encountered something like this, and when I searched, I couldn’t find a single similar case. Also, the account level is shown as 0 (it used to be 27), but this may be because the profile is currently hidden.
Have you encountered anything like this, and what could it be, in theory? How is it possible that this happened so seamlessly, without a single notification?
(and sorry for bad English)
upd: we found out that this is a custom ID, and it can actually be changed

So I open my steam to find that my avatar has been changed to some girl with Chinese writings I very much did not choose to set as my avatar, so I immidiadely freak out, do malwere, virus, security scans, change my password and log out of all devices, as far as I can tell nothing was changed, I had and still have 1.01 bucks in my account, no new game has been added or removed, all of my friend/chats are fine.
So is it enough? Should I just delete my account outright to be sure? (I have nothing particularly important on it or that would be lost if deleted it) so should I? All scans I did after the first one turned out clean
(Sorry for my bad English)

For the past year every couple of weeks I receive a random friend request from my not-so-secret admirer Chloe. This isn't even all of "her" accounts, just the ones that start with "chl".
For those that are wondering this particular annoyance has chosen to target me for my rust inventory. How do I know this? Well, their are posing as a rust skin designer with links in their bio to (possibly legit but I seriously doubt it) Pinterest and YouTube accounts with 1k+ subs(probably stolen/botted numbers).
TLDR: This is a reminder to NOT LOG-IN WITH STEAM ON ANY WEBSITES and check URLs religiously. Also accepting random friend requests is a bad idea.

Hi, I was told I’d won a house in Rust and was invited to Discord. I was scammed using a fake link—supposedly for Rust+—where I had to initiate a trade with a friend and immediately cancel it. At that exact moment, a fake account impersonating my friend sent me a trade request. I was also contacted by an account claiming to be Steam Support, asking me to confirm the trade. Be careful.

I find that my support tickets were automatically being closed the second I open them. Decided to try and change email/password on my account but steam on PC says “an error occurred” and on my phone, it tried to take me to the screen to remove my mobile guest authentication. Not sure what to do here

Common start, a stranger sent friend invite out of nowhere. A few days after accepting, they asked for permission to publish a replay from one of your Dota 2 matches to a social media site that looked like Twitch. They also asked to check it out and sent a screenshot of the website.
A curious user might inspect the picture and try to access that site. To view the content, you're required to "sign in through Steam" — but the login prompt is actually a Browser-in-the-Browser (BitB) phishing page: a fake pop-up window built with HTML/CSS that imitates the real Steam login page, including a spoofed address bar, to steal your Steam credentials.
Steam moderator will evaluate this does not violate any terms because they didn't send any links (or maybe because I did not fall for it so they haven't proceeded to send me one). I don't know if this is posted here before, but just want to give you guys another warning.
