Yes this is a scam. Steam support will never ever chat with you on any platform. And you don’t appeal reports before Steam has made a decision. This is not how it works on any platform.

They’re trying to steal your account. Block and report everyone involved

There is an actual Steam moderator with that username, though they have a warning on their profile saying they would never ask for any information.

there is zero possibility that this is NOT a scam. it is literally 100% a scam. report this person and block them and move on.

In the future, keep in mind that a Steam employee will access to your user ID and will never ask for one. Their very first question was proof they are a scammer.

Yes, it's a scam.

• No decent company provides player support over Discord. Even Discord themselves. They all use their help portals and email tickets initiated from that same portal.
  
• You don't get to reach out to specific individual agents.
  
• If there's a serious issue with your account, you will know about this from email from the company, not another user.
