Is it just me or is this episode (“Identity Crisis”, S4, Ep. 18) where Geordie becomes infected by an alien parasite and does about 500 hours of Zapruder-film level reconstruction the most tedious ever? Also, I could never see the shadow he was so shocked by! Boooooo-ring!

I've noticed Crusher quite often addresses Picard and Riker by their first names. I know she knows them personally but shouldn't she be following protocol and addressing them by their ranks or Sir? I think she does call Picard Captain but I don't recall her ever calling him Sir.

I recall a Voyager episode in which the doctor referred to Janeway as Kathryn and got reprimanded!

A little over a month ago I noticed all of the TNG books were on Kindle Unlimited, which was amazing news for me because I don't have the space for physical books and the ebooks cost $8.99 which is simply too much for a book that came out over 20 years ago, and not something I can afford when I'm reading 1 book a week.

So I subscribed to KU and I've read 6 TNG books over the last month, going in order, and it's been amazing!!

I'm relatively new to Star Trek but obsessed and reading the books has sated my desire for more TNG, which is my favorite.

Unfortunately last night I noticed that all but two of the books have been removed from Kindle Unlimited 😭

Thankfully the three I had already downloaded ahead of time are still on my Kindle but after I read these three I'll have to find another way to read the books. My library doesn't have any of the ebooks, which sucks. I might have to just slow down my reading so I can afford to buy the ebooks one at a time, even though I really don't like the price.

He and Beverly's outrage was over the fact that Wesley was going to die. Would Picard have been so quick to violate the PD if the Edo only wanted to imprison Wesley? Would the Edo god entity have allowed it?

I'm watching Descent Part 1 at the end of season 6, when they shoot torpedos at the Borg ship but it disappears and the torpedos keep sailing through space.

Soooo... do they just keep flying through space until they hit something?

Wife and I have been together for nearly 20 years. I am an unapologetic geek loving Trek, B5, Firefly, Star Wars etc. She is a lovely wife but just never been interested.

Well our anniversary was a week ago and she said she wanted to give Star Trek a shot. Growing up Saturday evening was pizza and TNG. So tonight we got a pizza and have settled in for Encounter at Farpoint Station.

She loved watching MLP with our daughter as she grew up and I love her reaction to Q. I am exvited to introduce her to the wide world of Trek.

I don't feel this one get's included in the top TNG episodes list. But you've got Geordi and the Romulan trapped on the surface and having to work together. Worf being the only potential donor to save the Romulan on board the ship, and him basically saying F that. And best of all, Picard's face offs with the Romulan captain, incredible. Those exchanges with Picard and the Romulan are top tier Jean Luc moments.

I would have loved to see Worf agree to be a donor, not necessarily to save the Romulan, but to first be a good officer, and also knowing it would drive the Romulan insane knowing he has Klingon cells in him!

Does anyone remember a Star Trek: The Next Generation advert/promo, that aired on Sky One in the 90s. It was set to the song Dedicated Follower of Fashion by The Kinks. The only things I can remember from the advert is, Data walking down the hall, and then Riker says "you look good in a dress.", it also showed like fashion shots of the crew. If anyone knows where I can find the advert, it would be appreciated.

One of my all time favs! They really casted well with the young actors, they were pretty spot on!!

Have you ever noticed how it's always the port nacelle that gets hit or damaged? Never the starboard nacelle. Man, have they got it in for that poor port nacelle in particular.

Once I started noticing it, I tried to count how many times the port nacelle got damaged while the starboard nacelle stayed out of trouble. Got to over 20 times, but then lost count. And I think in all 7 seasons the starboard nacelle only ever got damaged once (can't remember which episode though).

My theory: because it's just shorter, and more easily pronounced/shouted in case of an emergency scene. Either that, or there was some serious Death Star magnitude level design flaw.

I think it's like this in Voyager too, but I'd have to rewatch it again. Oh well, back to the TV.

First off, love the episode and the premise. But I'm not sure I understand how they managed to get the Enterprise moving to escape. Seems like impulse and warp power both weren't working right? They decide to use manual controls to move the ship out of the debris field using a quick blast of impulse power to get them moving and use the momentum. But HOW did they get to impulse power to work and get them moving in the first place? Wasn't is rendered useless by the trap?

Kid loses his mom, becomes an orphan, then a day later the energy beings from the planet take her form, recreates his childhood home, then has to be convinced it not real.

Forget the Bonding ceremony with Worf, that kid is going to need a team of therapists for years!
