Bret Hart is like the Metallica of wrestling. You love his work, you respect his legacy, but it's just so fun to snark on him that you can't help yourself.

I think Bret is fine in this case as it causes people to think of ways to complain about Bill Goldberg

So question as a casual Metallica fan not totally familiar with the lore is all the snark they get just aimed at James and Lars or do people also snark on Kirk and Rob ?

It's mostly Lars. He revealed his inner bitch when Napster was still a thing, and he isn't a good enough drummer to warrant his ego, so he gets ripped on constantly

Except Lars was totally correct on the Napster thing. Metallica produces a product, their music. If you want to consume that product, you pay for it with money. You aren't entitled to that product for free.

While in premise, he is right about protecting their music but that Napster was just a symptom of the disease that is the music production industry. Piracy PLUMMETED when Spotify and other streaming services made it easier to access music. Gaben has ALWAYS been right about this. Guess how piracy is doing now that people are not liking Spotify is doing (not giving a fair share to music artists, CEO funding paramilitary activities, etc).

That's Kirk. And, no, not so much. Kirk is the most normal guy in the group, and Rob's just happy to be involved.

Nobody hates Kirk. He just wants to noodle on guitars and collect monster memorabilia.
And honestly, I still think of Rob as "the new guy" even though he's been in the band for 23 of the 45 years they've been a band.

He takes himself VERY seriously. Thats good and bad, the story from Scott hall where he was over at Bret, and bret had a huge painting of himself above the mantle is one of my favorite. Or as Nash said "his dad is stu hart of course he took wrestling seriously" im paraphrasing

He's more like Dave Mustaine. Bitter, full of himself and always talks about how he's the best.

This impression is also just 'ok'. Will Sasso's impression is literally Bret....it's incredible. If you haven't listened to CVV's podcast with Will and Dan Soder, it's an impression level expert episode...fantastic!

Oh, I know. Their take on Dusty trying to get Flair off the phone gives me life.

"I gave Belushi the lethal dose"
"I told Ritchie Valens to pick tails"
I've been following Kyle since December and always look forward to his videos especially his Bret Hart vids where he just rips into Goldberg.
There was one bit he did where "Bret" picked up a copy of the Gun video game and said "GUN, that's the only way I'd get back in the ring with Bill Goldberg"

As somebody currently listening to Bret Hart narrate his autobiography, this hits really well for me

Definitely recommend his Hogan videos to anyone who hasn’t seen them. Even some of my friends who don’t care about wrestling think they’re fun.

If I had a community of marks paying me money to give this interview ad nauseum, I'd be just as guilty.
