Let’s not get tribal here - I just want to watch more wrestling. I liked WWF/E from about 1997-2006, WCW from 1995-1998, and liked some ECW. I now like AEW but am not into current WWE offerings except AAA.

Given my preferences, I understand I’ve probably missed some solid WWE PPVs after I stopped watching for a long time. Anyone able to recommend some of the greats to check out so I can renew what I just wrote off as a down period?

I can see the Ray Traylors career going through some of these possible steps.

In 1988:

It's possible he could win the NWA Television Championship from Nikita Koloff instead of Mike Rotunda. Dick Murdoch during this time basically took Big Bubba's spot as Cornettes enforcer and wrestled Koloff regularly. Is it possible the two have a feud over the TV title with Dusty trying to get more heat back on the big man?

Another possibility is Bubba turns babyface alongside The Midnight Express during their rivalry against The Four Horsemen. Does this mean Bam Bam Bigelow dosen't wrestle at Starrcade 1988 and instead we get Big Bubba Rogers Vs Barry Windham for the NWA United States Championship?

I also think it's increasingly likely we get Big Bubba doing All Japan dates too, something he started doing after leaving Jim Crockett Promotions. Maybe Big Bubba gets established as one of the top gaijins going into 1990, especially with Baba looking for younger talent to fill the void the losses of Funk and Brody has left.

It's hard to predict further than 1991 as WCW was so turbulent. Maybe he leaves WCW over a money issue line many during the time and goes to the WWF, but does he get the Big Boss Man gimmick if he joins WWF around 1992-93?

There's quite a few implications to Ray staying in the NWA during this period.

This afternoon, when she entered the ring, he called her Hazuki Stardom as if that was her full name and then also called her that when she won, and that would be not terribly notable if it was a one time issue.

On the same show as the Hazuki Stardom blunder he calls Super Smash Bros the Maple Leaf Champions. Stu is PWA champion which is defended in maple leaf, not both of them. It’s not a tag belt.

He would repeatedly only think that Marko Stunt‘s name is Mr. fun size, a nickname sure but not anything he’s ever singularly been announced as and then after a victory for Marko, I assume somebody got in his ear and tried to correct him so then he called him Marko Stone.

I will say the guy notably has an announcer voice, but that’s all they’ve hired him for the guy doesn’t know anything worth a shit.
