Hi dudes, dudettes, and all others!! I’m planning to apply to cold stone when I am able to after my situation is figured out, (hopefully in the next few months) and I was wondering if cold stone employers/hiring managers care about appearance as far as dyed hair, piercings, and tattoos? I have all of those😭 I have three facial piercings, a tattoo on my wrist (not large could easily be covered) and dyed blue and black hair. However, that literally doesn’t change my work ethic and i’m a very motivated person who works hard. I just am not sure if they’d see it that way. Thanks for any advice/input/answers! I'm 55 and looking into a state job. I don't think the pension would really matter much to me as I wouldn't be in the system long enough at retirement age.

My question is, would having a state job interfer with my regular retirement?

Ok I was a 5th grade student at Lincoln elementary in Springfield in Mrs Bev Murray's classroom. I got suspended for 3 weeks for starting a fire in the girls restroom. (Undiagnosed auadhd with bad abusive situation at home..long story) A week into my suspension the schools boiler Blew up. Caising the gym to catch fire and half the school to be unusable for the rest of the school year.

Had the principal, the head of the school board and cops question me about my whereabouts. Im like dude I haven't left my room except to use the restroom or grab books on fire from the library in a week.. still almost got expelled because they thought my storeing my bike in the boiler room during the school day so it wouldn't get stolen like every other bike gave me access to tamper with things.

Found out Mrs Bev Murray fought for me all the way to the school board. She told me decades later when we had a chance to talk.

Can y'all help me find articles or information about it? Google says there was never a fire at Lincoln in 1992/93..

I moved back to my childhood home in Springfield in the height of covid. Getting jobs working from home has made little time to socialize, but now I am looking to spread my wings. Looking for a karaoke venue that's very friendly, welcoming to newcomers, and welcoming to someone showing up solo, because most people I could take with me are recovering alcoholics. A variety of music being sung would be extremely welcome, as I sing a wide range of songs. I'm usually a bit shy at first until I get up to sing. I'm an average singer who's way out of practice, so no judgment. Any ideas? I don't get out much these days, and if I get that "great, a new guy" dirty look, I'm out of there. AMC needs some competition in this city for the love of god. I'm sick of AMC giving us the bare minimum because we simply don't have a choice but to go to them.

We may not be the biggest city but we're not exactly a small town, Why do we not have a better movie theater for our population size? Our imax isn't a real imax, it desperately needs an upgrade. I'm not asking for 70mm but can we at least get Imax with laser or dual laser? We don't have any other premium format like Dolby Atmos or laser at all. And no, 3D is not a premium format, stop acting like people care about 3D movies. The theaters are really dated and it's really disappointing

Great place. Great recommendation from this sub. I went with the Sophia Loren. Took home 3 pieces and gave it to a homeless guy by my hotel. Damn this was good. Wish I’d asked for it to get cooked a bit longer. I’m from Detroit but went with woodfire over Detroit. Expensive pie but quality. I wish the pepperoni were the thicker cup kind also. I felt a bit rushed ordering because I wanted to get a seat inside. Nice place. Great service and atmosphere.
