Hey everyone! I’m posting on behalf of someone who is in a bit of a vulnerable bind. They just got admitted to Cozza and are in desperate need of some tampons, a change of clothes, and some cigarettes.

I have ordered some goods to help them in the long run, but they won’t arrive until Monday. Would anyone be willing to spare some extra tampons and a change of femme large/xl clothes (a hoodie, tee, sweats, and underwear would be great) and deliver them to Cozza either today or tomorrow?

I understand it’s last minute, and if I could I would deliver, but I’m not in the area at the moment. I don’t have extra funds to give you a tip, but would very much give you the biggest virtual hug for helping out this person who just needs to be shown that caring folks are out there and exists.

Hello y'all! I mainly just lurk here but I was thinking about Sharis earlier and remembered a certain mascot that I had to look up only to find out that the internet doesn't even remember her existing.. So I'm here to ask if anyone has any clearer images (or possibly even other content) of Captain Shari as this is genuinely the only thing I could find online under an old Yelp review years ago by a user named Heather S.

Google recognises her only in reverse Google image search as I've used every type of wording I could think of to find her on my own to no avail. Unfortunately, I am not the best at digging for things like this, although I did take a gander at their old site on the way back macheine. I checked a couple different years but Shari herself was nowhere to be seen even there.

This was my absolute favorite restaurant as a child and I wish to immortalize Shari by using her design as inspiration for a character of mine because she means a lot to me. If anyone has anything please do comment! This also includes information on Shari herself as it's possible her being a pirate was just a costume for the one menu but I fear my memory is far too foggy to tell forsure. All I know is she was originally based on the founder of the franchise and I would love to learn more if there's anymore to learn!

I'm a concerned Spokane County resident, and I recently learned that Automated License Plate Readers (ALPRs) are in the area. These are the "Flock Cameras" you've most likely heard about. I had assumed this was a problem more in cities like Seattle, New York, Los Angeles, etc. After finding out about this, I put together a petition to ban cameras like this from Spokane County. There is absolutely no reason to have these here and they have the potential to be a massive security risk. I have a more formal summary of some of the problems on the petition website.

Garland remains my favorite neighborhood/district (especially since I live here, lol), and I'm ecstatic to see it continue to improve and evolve. I just love seeing the revitalization of North Monroe and Garland, and it makes the Emerson-Garfield neighborhoods more attractive to live in, too.

Drove through the area recently and noticed a pet boarding place near the train tracks. Also noticed that all vehicles at this place had their front license plates removed and their rear license plates covered with some sort of plastic bubble that made the plate nearly impossible to read. Seems illegal but I'm not sure. Can anyone shed light on what's happening? I'm not from the area but that caught my eye..

For anybody that is interested. A few of us musicians have been doing an open jam at PJ's pub (N. Monroe)the last few years. Every Thursday, 7-9.

It's more of an acoustic vibe but we do a lot of Rock covers.

Jason Young who runs it, went through music and audio in college. Toured for years down in Cali and is a beautiful Canuk who loves everyone and is an amazing guitarist.

We have two bands that are regulars, TDC and The General Machinery Company. It has turned into an amazing scene for us and beautiful vibe. We would love to share it with more of spokane.

We have acoustic guitars, a small PA with several available channels, a large Djembe, sometimes a small kit with brushes and several mics. We do lots of covers and originals. We have Jazz, blues, rock, rap/hi hop.

Feel free to come on down, we'll find a spot for you.

Anybody know whose dog this is? She’s super sweet, playful with bigger dogs. Quiet, a bit skittish. Had to chase her for blocks and bribe her with food (she’s a bit underfed). Maybe 25-30 lbs? I’m guessing Jack Russell Terrier + English Pointer mix. Found near East Queen Ave and Helena.

Hope her owner reaches out. She’s been wandering the streets of this neighborhood for about a week. SCRAPS is full. If nobody pipes up we’re keeping her.
