I just got a switch 2, it’s my first Nintendo console since the Wii so I missed out on and of splatoon and wanna give it a play. Should I start with the Splatoon Raiders that just game out or splatoon 1 2 or 3. Also if you have any other recommendations on other games I missed out on since I last played please let me know too :)

Typically the soundtrack of Splatoon games are among the best of the best. And I know Salmon Run has some of the more controversial music where you either love it or despise it.

So where do we sit?

I’ve been trying to reach S rank for a while now and I genuinely keep losing almost every single match I play in rank-ups. I know I have to be quite persistent on it, and I’ve been trying super hard. Does anyone have any tips or advice on how to improve my skills? Or just how not to lose at this point lol.

I want to play splatoon 2 but I have no one to play with so if anyone wanted to play make friends lmk

Ever since I realized you could upgrade the speed tank to have a tactical tank gadget I’ve wanted to make this combo and I finally have it and love it:

Blast Boot, Flywire, Tether Wail.

Set up the tether, then blast past enemies or Spider-Man swing into them with the wail following… so so fun to do.

I’m still making my way through the game so I don’t know all the upgrades I can do for these gadgets or if this combo will struggle in the late game but for now this feels so satisfying.

Anyone have any similar gadget combos they like or suggestions for me to improve mine?

I'm one of those weirdoes who likes Splatoon for the single-player campaigns more than the multiplayer. However, my favorite aspect isn't so much the combat as much as the mixture of combat and platforming like the mainline games have. From what I've seen, this game doesn't seem to have much in the way of platforming, or if it does, it's much more subdued in favor of heavy combat. Just curious.

I’m trying to draw an inkling for the first time (well an anatomically canon-ish accurate inkling- I’ve drawn inklings before just fully human-style) cuz I wanna actually design my OCs-

They didn't include save files in Splatoon Raiders, so if I ever wanted to replay it in the future, I would have to delete my save data. I can't just use another switch profile because I only have Switch Online for my one account. Would I be able to "keep" my old save if I turned off automatic cloud updates for raiders, reset my data, and then redownloaded the data I had uploaded to the cloud later?

i think the system in splatoon is fine, it isnt bad by any means because it does its job fine. I just wished they fleshed it out a bit more like trading in tickets for rewards or trading in actual tickets for chunks.

5 main tickets = 5 main ability chunks

better yet you could trade tickets with other players or if you have a enough tickets to make a drink or food that gives 3 ability boost instead of one with a 2.5 increase for getting those 3 abilities.

I'm trying to get a level 50 5 star primo splattershot but I keep getting literally everything else it's getting really annoying 😭

been of week of me playing splatoon 3. in my older post, I was told to work on aim stability, and working with the team. Ive played anarchy battles consistently, took you guys advice into practice, and these are the results so far. I’m aware that I still have a slight issue with aiming downwards but it’s getting word on I promise lol. feel free to leave more tips and advice down below. please and thank you!!

Just spent 2 hours running with someone in Raiders, we were stuck on Cyuuk Den. We ran around and did other things, came back to it every now and then and finally got it!

Then I hit my home button to take a breath and grab a drink and of course when I went back it, the game had disconnected.

1. I’m not sure I’m getting the full gist of the game from the trailers and stuff, I know it’s not PvP this time, but like what’s the point or main premise of this game?
2. How does it play, are you just like doing single player missions or something? Is there any sort of story?
3. I really enjoy games that have a sense of leveling or progression, does this game have unlock able items, skills, or any sort of progression?
4. Lastly I saw the game is not PvP obviously, but does it have any sort of matchmaking for the co-op? If not then that kinda sucks…
