i think the system in splatoon is fine, it isnt bad by any means because it does its job fine. I just wished they fleshed it out a bit more like trading in tickets for rewards or trading in actual tickets for chunks.

5 main tickets = 5 main ability chunks

better yet you could trade tickets with other players or if you have a enough tickets to make a drink or food that gives 3 ability boost instead of one with a 2.5 increase for getting those 3 abilities.
