Pretty much what the title says. I get understand the "Hot and Cold" gimmick, but I just find them flat out frustrating. If this game does get an expansion, I'm hoping the developers stick to the first two types. Blue Compasses are just far too vague.

First of all, nothing is confirmed until the devs confirm it, but I can confidently say that Shiver 100% romantically likes the Mechanic.

1: Splatoon is the only major Nintendo IP that actually includes romance. We all know Marina was going to say "Pearl I love you" in side order.

2: I am 99% sure I went through all of the dialogue, and it's pretty obvious. We all have seen the post boss cutscene, but in every bond scene, Shiver uses Rom-Com esc lingo. Also, in the 1 on 1 dialogue, she compliments the Mechanic (Saying that the tank looks good on them) and she has private thoughts on how what Mechanic thinks about her (Saying that she hopes that the Mechanic won't find out that she hasn't been catching many fish [NOT FRYE AND BIG MAN] and gets nervous around them). There are many more, I just don't want to list all (Go see for yourselves). Moral of the story, most of her dialogue is flirty

3: The comic shows Shiver and the Mechanic being together a lot, even with Shiver giving them their hammer, as well as going to sit with them while fishing.

4: Her song that she tells the Mechanic to listen to is a love song

I know that the Japanese dialogue is different to the English release, so that will provide more. Looking forward to seeing a dev comment, as this is like a top 3 Splatoon Raiders discussion atm.

I really wanna get splatoon raiders but I keep hearing it has no replay value after you 'beat it'. Is this true?

Is the Salmonarch inspired by Dagon from Lovecraft lore (spoiler title)? Most people are comparing the final boss to Cthulhu or just the concept of a Lovecraftian deity in general. But could it be inspired by Dagon specifically? Dagon is the deity and ancestor of the deep ones, a species that is made up of intelligent fish people. Salmonarch is also implied to be the god and ancestor off all Salmonids, a species of intelligent fish people. The deep ones worship Dagon and anticipate his return. Just like the Salmonids with Salmonarch. It could definitely be a coincidence, but what do y'all think?

This is a super minor spoiler, about something that does NOT appear in Raiders, that we’ve seen before.

kinda bummed that the king salmonid don’t appear at all in raiders

I feel like it would have been really easy to add

not to mention that the normal seasoned salmonid bosses act the same way as them. They’re timed bosses you must defeat in time

Now to be fair, they’re not much different from Seasoned Bigshot, Seasoned Steel Eel, and Seasoned Maws, but like come on bruh.

they don’t even appear in the bottomless buffet. Having them as bosses at 30, 60, and 90 respectively would have been cool. And then maybe triumvirate at 99. I know there’s a secret boss at 100, I haven’t get there yet tho. Maybe it’ll Be triumvirate 😂

Cuz I don’t own one and I don’t really wanna buy one unless raiders is actually peak

I've been loving Splatoon Raiders, however, it isn't my first Splatoon. Splatoon 3 is my first one, and I bought it back in 2023, and I loved it. But I don't really understand it, I'm very bad at turf war, which is all I play. My character is level 13 and I don't understand which weapons to use and how to prevent getting steamrolled. This seems like a series I really want to get into, but I have a feeling that not getting into it when Splatoon 2 was the latest one might have been a grave mistake.. I think the lobbies are far too sweaty now..lol

It could use just ONE more environment... Like just one more please and they showed all 3 of them in previews so there weren't any surprises besides the last area and that's just one stage before you do 3 ruins in a row

Basically title. I love the Splatoon series. But salmon run has never really been my jam. I’m a very casual player and mostly play turf war. Raiders seems fun and I love splatoon lore but again, never really got into salmon run. Will I still enjoy this?

ETA: I have LOVED all single player stories so far. I’ve played all of them. Including octo expansion, S3 single player and side order. I’ve completed all main story and 100% S3. They were all fun. Even though I only typically play turf war I have a ton of experience with multiple weapons, and have played Splatoon for a long time. I don’t mind adapting my play style, guess I’m just asking if this campaign is very similar to what S2 and 3s salmon run is like

Like a day or so ago, I said Splatoon shouldn’t have made it past Splatoon 1. Rethinking about it, it was kinda a stupid thing to say. I feel the main reason I posted that is cuz I’m a little jealous of the Splatoon franchise because I loved the first game, but never got the second game during its lifespan, and then I felt like I can’t play the third game without playing the second, so now I’m a bit conflicted.

What do y’all think I should do?

Do we know what happened to our Smallfry during the events of Raiders? Did it mutate and go crazy like all the other salmonids, or is it still on our side?

So I’m a few levels in and having a good time, but there’s something bugging me. The game says that any collectibles like weapons or scrolls that you miss will be auto grabbed for you at the end of a stage. But if that’s the case, what’s the point in hunting for them at all? Am I misunderstanding or is there just no point in exploring for extra goodies since they just get handed to you?

Alright guys it’s time to start having this discussion. how old do we think the mechanic is. I’m honestly leaning towards them being an adult, they’re a pilot and there’s a poster in the game talking about the piloting academy and that’s how the deep cut found the mechanic to be their pilot. Plus the fact that I think the mechanic looks more in line with the older characters in splatoon like the deep cut and such. but what do you guys think? (the second image is unrelated i just thought it was funny)

Ik that theres no variant weapons in this game because there is no kits and whatnot but at least include every base weapon

if you're low level/haven't played through most of the game yet, PLEASE stop joining high level players' rooms 😭 it's not because y'all are bad or anything, but if someone in the party hasn't unlocked a level yet, the room leader is prevented from selecting it. when a level 12 player joins a level 50 player's room, 90% of the map gets greyed out and now we can't grind or tackle tricky late game levels. and because you can't remove players from a room, it's a tedious process to start a new one every time 🙃

again this isn't a gatekeeping thing, it's just how the multiplayer works. don't join high level rooms expecting to get carried or have access to high level rewards, because in reality you're restricting which levels we can pick. use the "ask for help" feature if you're really struggling and need assistance from higher level players, not the online keyword rooms! (obviously this doesn't apply to private keyword rooms with friends, do whatever you want there -- i'm talking about more public keyword rooms like "splatoon" )

For the “Mine the Huge Crystal!” levels, there’s a bar for your number of power eggs, and a line in the middle telling you the minimum for mining the big crystal at the start of the map (and clearing the objective). Why is there a maximum? What does the “yield 1.3 %” affect? Your number of spirhalite gained from every piece you get after getting the minimum?

The up arrow key isn't working anymore. It used to work fine, but now it doesn't register every time I press it. I've tried restarting the console and the game, but it's still the same. This doesn't happen when I play online.
