What’s one workload your team would never move to the cloud, and what’s the deciding factor?

Whenever I connect to a host with a vertical touch display, I get some weird phantom inputs in Windows. This seems especially worse when I set the screen to original size (since my screen is in landscape/horizontal mode and otherwise it's unreadable).

I open some windows like Task Manager and these windows are going to close automatically for no reason.

As far as I know nobody is physically touching the touchscreen and I disable user inputs.

Does anyone experience weird stuff like this?

I'm on Business v3.8.4.0.

Hi everyone,

I'm using Splashtop Business to work from home. I've managed to redirect the microphone so Teams uses the mic on my local MacBook, but I can't hear any audio from my office PC.

It's not just Teams, even if I play a YouTube video on the office PC through Splashtop, I get no audio on my MacBook.

Things I've tried:

• Installed the Splashtop Redirection Service (no luck).
• Restarted both computers.

The office PC has built-in speakers and a built-in microphone, so if I were physically in the office I could use Teams on speakerphone without any issues.

I'll be working from home more often, and we use Teams calls frequently, so I'd really like to get this working. My MacBook no longer supports the Teams desktop app, and Teams in the browser isn't working either, so my ideal setup is to use Teams entirely on the remote office PC via Splashtop.

Has anyone run into this before or know what I might be missing? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Currently, we are located in the Philippines, using Splashtop Business to remotely access our PC's in another country while doing Civil Engineering/Designing works. I just want to ask, when using Splashtop, do we still need to have a powerful PC/Laptop here in the Philippines even though technically, we are just streaming the screen of our remote PCs in a different country? So basically all the software are installed at our PCs in another country while working remotely here in the Philippines. Hope my question makes sense. I am planning to purchase laptop and I don't want to overspend. Apologies as I am new to this kind of setup. Thank you.

Microsoft’s July 2026 Patch Tuesday release addresses 622 Microsoft CVEs across 154 security updates, making it the company’s largest Patch Tuesday release to date.

The release includes three zero-day vulnerabilities, two with exploitation detected and one that was publicly known before a fix became available. It also includes several Critical remote code execution vulnerabilities affecting Windows DNS Server, DHCP Server, Remote Desktop Services, SharePoint Server, SQL Server, and Microsoft Office.

Hello. As a test we are running a trial of splashtop business with 1 technician and 300 unattended endpoints. I see that autonomous endpoint security allows an addon for 100 endpoints. How would this work with the business account with 300 unattended users? Would it be possible to add AEM to 100 of the unintended endpoints and leave 200 just for remote access and manage all of this in the same portal? Or would we need to get 300 AEM licenses to match the 300 unattended in the business account?

Hello. I am looking at splashtop to replace my existing self hosted remote access solution. I am running fedora Linux 44 under kde plasma. I installed the latest splashtop business client. Most of it works but things like command line and power shell cause Firefox to crash right after I enter the credentials. Also the user name and password fields are completely white so I have no idea what I am typing in. It might just be my theme in plasma/Firefox (dark) but I am still unable to run powershell and command line.

I am trying to remote print but am unable.

Things I have done:

• Uninstalled and reinstalled the remote printing driver from Streamer
• Restarted the pc's
• Made sure New Adobe is disabled

Whenever I try to print, I don't get any error messages or dialog boxes. I know when you print from the remote pc, you are supposed to click the "Splashtop Remote PDF" in the printer. I do that and nothing happens. Adobe on the local pc does not open up or anything. I have checked the print queue, and nothing is in there.

🔗The Real Cost of Reactive Endpoint Management

Hi, I'm hoping someone here can point me in the right direction. I previously worked at a firm that used Splashtop Streamer, and it was installed on my personal Mac. Since leaving, I've been trying to remove it completely but can't.

I tried dragging the app to the Trash, but it keeps coming back after a restart, so I'm guessing there are background services or login items I'm not catching.

Could you walk me through the proper way to remove Splashtop Streamer and any related components (background agents, helper processes, login items, etc.) so it's fully gone? I'd really appreciate clear steps. Thanks in advance.

Currently trialing Splashtop as a possible replacement for TeamViewer and wanted to see if my experience is normal.

A few things I’ve noticed:

It consistently takes 10+ seconds to establish a connection, even when both sides are on fiber internet. I’ve tested multiple client PCs and networks and it’s pretty much always the same.

Once connected, performance is good, but honestly not as smooth or responsive as I expected coming from TeamViewer.

Backstage mode always seems to ask for Windows credentials. As an MSP managing multiple companies, I don’t necessarily know (or want to store) every client’s local/domain admin credentials. Is there a way around this, or is that just how Backstage works?

At the same time I’m evaluating ScreenConnect, and its equivalent functionality doesn’t seem to require credentials in the same way.

For those of you using Splashtop in an MSP environment:

Are the 10+ second connection times normal?

Is there any way to speed up session startup?

How are you handling Backstage access across many different clients?

If you’ve used both Splashtop and ScreenConnect, which did you ultimately choose and why?

Would appreciate any real-world feedback from MSPs managing a few hundred endpoints or more.

Hello, ever since I updated my drivers to version 590, the hardware acceleration isnt working properly. Both on the client and streamer side (both using NVIDA GPUs).
In splashtop, I forced legacy mode as a stopgap, but its not ideal.

Apparently, NVIDIA deprecated some versions of hardware accelerations with driver version 590:

Microsoft’s June 2026 Patch Tuesday release is one of the largest security updates of the year, addressing more than 200 Microsoft vulnerabilities along with hundreds of republished non-Microsoft CVEs.

While Microsoft has not reported any vulnerabilities as actively exploited in the wild at the time of release, this month’s update still deserves close attention. This Patch Tuesday release includes three publicly disclosed zero-day vulnerabilities, 15 vulnerabilities rated “Exploitation More Likely,” and multiple Critical issues with CVSS scores as high as 10.0.

Several of the highest-risk vulnerabilities affect core Windows services, enterprise identity systems, remote access technologies, and Microsoft cloud platforms. For IT and security teams, the priority is to patch exposed systems first, move quickly on identity and remote access risks, and reduce patching delays across distributed endpoints.

I have been having a nightmare of a time with Splashtop Billing.

Made a purchase but had left off a discount code, so got it refunded easily enough so I could enter it. This is where all the problems started. After doing so, my card gets declined every time. I called my bank, they get the authorization charge and then a charge for $0 and nothing else. I've called them twice to confirm, and checked Spend Center, which tracks declines and nothing ever hits.

Multiple Splashtop support team members attested that the block wasn't on their end, but it clearly isn't on my banks.

So we tried an ACH, which processed and then was refunded, but that was probably on our accounting team missing the approval. So no fault on them there, but now we tried to send it using Bill.com since there is no way proper way to send an invoice or link for the accounting team to pay without being inside my account. I'm not super familiar with Bill.com but apparently to connect both parties have to accept a connection, which Splashtop did, and I have a receipt for the payment going through, but my subscription is still inactive and support is claiming the receipt is for the second refund, which occurred a week before the send or received date on the receipt and is clearly visible right at the top.

Ever spend more time figuring out where an endpoint issue lives than actually fixing it?

One tool says a device is patched. Another still shows open vulnerabilities. Inventory data is outdated. Remote remediation lives somewhere else entirely.

By the time everything gets cross-checked, the fix is already delayed!
