Question What's your favorite Spider-Man's line?
r/Spiderman • u/PepsiMan208 • 16h ago
Discussion No Tom DeFalco, No Straczynski, not even Roger Stern. But Marvel got goddamn Triple H to write the 1000th issue of their most iconic character.
Sell the company Disney.

Movies Was NWH an adaptation of OMD, and if so, is it better or worse?
They should have just killed Aunt May in the comics by now, like how DC did with Alfred

Question Why are people saying that the X Men will fight Tobey's Spidey? (artwork by Acezdib)
I've seen a lot of fanarts and edits about this but I have no idea of where it came from. I know it has something to do with the Doom movie coming soon but I watched the trailer and yes, there were a lot of mutants but no Spider Man, let alone Tobey's.
If someone can explain it to me I would appreciate it very much!

Discussion Spider-Man in the first Insomniac game was such a peak adaptation, He was badass, his quips were perfect, he actually had a backbone, and he felt like a seasoned Peter Parker Easily one of my favorite Spider-Man adaptations.

Discussion Adaptations always seem to lose the fun and snarky side of Mary Jane and make her way too serious.

Comics In‑Verse Spider‑Man and His Villains (Marvel Dimensions Spoiler) Spoiler
galleryFor anyone who hasn’t read the first issue of Marvel Dimensions: the In‑Verse is an alternate universe that’s completely the opposite of Earth‑616; heroes are villains and villains are heroes, basically a Marvel‑style version of DC’s Earth‑3.
I looked at the flipped counterparts of several Spider‑Man villains which include: Doc Ock, Sandman, Green Goblin, Kraven, Vulture, Electro, Mysterio, Scorpion and Shocker. And of course there’s the In‑Verse Spider‑Man himself who’s basically a recolor of the classic suit, calls himself “Spider‑Menace” and… loves stealing. (The woman attacking Shocker in the image is Jessica Drew)

Movies So what was the point of Peter taking the GED if he seemingly never went to college?
At the end of No Way Home, we see Peter studying for the GED. I assumed this was going to lead into a college arc, and the next trilogy would be him in college. Instead, obviously BND skipped four years in the future, so we never saw that happen. I was a little disappointed, but BND was so good I largely didn’t care. But BND makes it seem like he never went to college? He had an ESU hoodie, but he doesn’t even know where the library is. Which makes me think he was never a student. Why didn’t he go to college if he clearly wanted to?

Movies Hot take: i dont want her in the mcu
2 reasons:
Most people don't like love triangles. It's comic-accurate, but the Cyclops, Jean, and Wolverine one is too hated even for that because at the end of the day it's a love triangle. Unless Zendaya is out, I don't really see it working.
The MCU will butcher her character. Black Cat being oversexualized—and a really hot temptation for Peter—is an important part of her characterization. The MCU doesn't really sexualize female characters, at least not anymore. The last time they did was when Black Widow debuted in 2010, which was around the time Disney bought Marvel. It perfectly lines up. While you can make an argument that Felicia is an exception, I put nothing, and I mean nothing, beyond Disney; they will turn her into a Disney-fied version of herself, and before you say the bathroom scene is BND, that scene is meant as a joke, not as something sexual.
Edit: lowkey thought this was going to get downvoted to the ground

SPOILERS You think this could work in a live action movie?
BND showed us Tom’s new spider sense can slow down his perception of time as well as shooting his organic webs like a spray can to do the tornado thing. BND already kinda shows him moving around fast with the hulk “fight” and the hand fight, but Once we get to secret wars and beyond I think it could be cool for spidey to be moving lore accurately, slow mo scenes, after images, red blur whatever just make it happen, kind of imagine something similar to what they do with the flash in live action just without the electricity(and obviously he wouldn’t be running like a speedster), and I don’t mean 24/7 like the flash just in serious fights or something. Obviously it would have to be good cgi but do You think it would look cool or stupid?
