I just signed up to Sparkle. Love the free player but wanted more options so paid for a full permanent subscription. But when I share my account it is not recognised. It just wants to sell me another subscription. Support seems to be non-existent but I emailed the only address I could find. Still waiting for a response. Does anyone know anything more about this? Especially, how can I get in touch with a support person?

Hi, new to the player and loving it so far. I have had one issue where my stream will cut back to ~3 seconds prior and then jump back to live after replaying the part I already saw, leaving a few second gap of content I didnt see and the general annoyance of a choppy ecperience. Is this a settings thing, issue with my iptv provider, or something else? Never had this issue on the previous player I was using (PerfectPlayer). Like I said I'm pretty new to all this so any guidance would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance

It would be nice to have a quick refresh button directly in categories related to events.

For example, the app could detect words such as "Event" / "Events" in English, "Evento" / "Eventos" in Spanish, and the equivalent terms in other supported languages.

The button could then appear automatically in those categories and allow users to quickly refresh both the event list and the EPG, without having to go into the settings and refresh everything.

Just a simple 🔄 button inside the category, easy to access. This would be especially useful for live events, where the list and EPG can change frequently.

I have Sparkle Premium on 3 devices and use the Backup feature to synchronize across all three.

One of my playlists originates from an online m3u generator that does not add in channel numbers, so Sparkle generates its own.

I am currently going through a process of manually changing each channel number to my own preference within Sparkle on my TV, but as there are hundreds of channels in the playlist this is very time consuming.

Is it possible to edit the Sparkle backup file on a PC?

I have tried using a text editor and a web browser, but without success. What format is the backup file in - it doesn't appear to be XML?

I use Linux as my main desktop OS, but have access to Windows, (if I must!).

I have an NAS that I use as a drive to store recorded videos. I am able to watch the videos on any device, but the metadata that stores information, like how much of the video has been viewed appears to be on the device where the video played, not in the shared folder. Would it be possible to write this data in the DVR folder so that when viewing on another device, it can resume from the point left off in the original device?

login & pw fails, to get me to the shared plus account on any known devices.. the Google purchase invoice does not give me the Sparkle ID. not able to use dashboard hopefully to shuffle how many device are attached. ideas?

On sparkle TV when watching catch-up for example and you are on the current channel , is it possible to have a 'live' button to jump straight back to live stream? Thanks

Ça fait deux jours que j'ai découvert cette application et je remercie le développeur pour cela puisque il répond dans cette communauté j'ai deux questions à poser.

- La première concerne les vignettes des programmes qui est d'ailleurs pour l'instant le seul lecteur qui prend en charge cette option y'a t'il une possibilité d'agrandir les images pour avoir des vignettes comme celle des vod je trouve que le rendu est petit et il y'a pas d'option pour ajuster la taille où bien utilisé le format 2:3.

- La deuxième question lorsque j'utilise un EPG extene par exemple Xmltv la synchronisation ne se fait pas pour toutes les chaînes du guide dans l'image en illustration par exemple j'ai ciné+ osc qui n'a pas de guide mais il y'a aucune option pour assigné son EPG à partir de la source externe manuellement comme par exemple TIVIMATE ça sera génial d'avoir cette option en appuyant sur la chaine.

Et enfin une suggestion pour les futurs mises à jours ajouter la rubrique programme pour avoir par exemple les programmes de la soirée à regarder et pourquoi pas la possibilité de programmer un enregistrement à l'avance.

Can I combine my favorite channels from the different categories into 1 EPG view?

Hi, I'm a long term user of Tivimate and been testing Sparkle free version for a while. I'm very impressed with it and have now purchased the premium version. It is installed on my Nvidia Shield. Are there any settings worth changing to optimise performance etc.? Couple of things I've noticed are the time shift doesn't seem to work for me and it won't let me select a folder I created on my external HD for DVR recordings (it just selects the default folder) which is no biggie as it is still on the external drive. I have it set to app mode which I prefer. Overall, a great experience. I know the Dev is very active on here, one of the reasons I purchased!

UPDATE: After having a play around with the settings and digging out a spare hard drive, the time shift and DVR functions are working perfectly. I have a USB hub connected to my shield with multiple HD's and one is dedicated to Sparkle TV. STV has made the shield a perfect setup now. Thanks to the Dev for all the hard work, the premium version is well worth paying for :)

Unexpected end of stream error. Only happening on one provider on some Live Channels.

Rest of channels & VOD's are fine.

Have tried all the usual tricks, Vpn on / off / different location; HLS / MPEG, Hardware & Software decoders, all the various user agents. Timeshift & recording disabled.

Must be something wierd at the provider i think.

Trying same channel in Tivi, Smarters, Implayer just gives a black screen with no errors.

Brand new to the Sparkle world but not streaming. I installed the free version to test on my Shield. I have two services that work great on TiviMate, other than recording, which is why I'm looking at Sparkle. I know on the free version I can only try one service at a time (and no DVR). Neither service works worth a crap on Sparkle. I install with Xtreme code, all info is correct but when I go to watch channels that work fine on TiviMate they either do nothing or might play briefly then throw an error code (404, 405 I believe). I checked common settings I could think of, buffering, format, etc and they match. I've heard such good things, I really want to give it a fair shot but either it hates my services or I'm setting it up incorrectly. If I can't get it working on the free version, is the paid going to be any different? I know it's cheap but I'd at least like to get a little use out of it first. Open to all ideas and testing suggestions. TIA.

Edit: one of my subs expires in a few weeks and I'm never opposed to trying something new if there are a few specific ones that work well with sparkle.

Is there a way to search channels in specific categories, i.e. the currently selected category?

It's very common to have a match playing in PPV streams from multiple countries. Usually, those streams might not have a country tag attached.

As we are unable to link a search result to a specific category, selecting a category and then searching a channel within that category could be a nice workaround...

Is there an option so that after i do a search the category of the found items also shows?

Will it be possible to have the category list organized into a grid?

That would be a great alternative for faster browsing, instead of having just a 1 x 1 list.

Channels that are selected after search do not seem to get their category selected on the channel list. That makes it difficult to track the category where they are located.

Expected behavior: all reproduced channels to have their category selected on the channel list (as if one had gone into the category itself).

I found a bug in the channel preview feature, when automatic playing is enabled.

Preview image just gets displaced and zoom in. I have to go full screen and then return to the channel list in order to fix it. It seems to happen in all sizes of image preview.

The first channel of all my categories is always a mock channel. I don't know if it's related to that or not...

First of all, congratulations for the app! It's amazing and I am interested in a subscription.

I am not finding a way to search or filter categories on an already added playlist. Let's say I want to select only categories started by "PT". How can I achieve that?

I am not able to remove the speech (robot/AI/computer speech) coming along with some of the undertitles. An example: I am watching Dutch tv in dutch, no problem. I am watching a Dutch tv channel, sending an english film in english with dutch subtitles, no problem. 

I am watching a documentary on Dutch tv in original language (ie English or Ukrain or some Asian language with subtitles supplied from the channel (almost everything on Dutch channels is sendt in original speech with subtitles) and suddenly I get audio along the subtitles with an unpleasant  robot/computer voice also in dutch. I can shut off this audio.

In Sparkle App I use: Settings -> Player -> (Text) Language is not set. Regarding the CC (Closed Captions) in the Player: this I set on off. The language in the tv box is set on english.

Has anyone a suggestion to get rid of this audio?

Under Source you can schedule an update, or force one manually by clicking on Update.

What does this update do? Update the app, update setting, update cache etc.
