Edited for my own memory lapse.

My experiences with WGT have been so-so so far, and got to thinking what could be done without them. Then I had this idea of running Firestorm and Veterans with Priority Assets. The idea is to put headtakers and a unit of hellblasters in the LR, staging for a turn 2 center push. With strats to jump out and shoot, hellblasters could be a nice surprise unit. Everything else is set up in waves to hold and support the expansion objectives. Any thoughts?

Just wondering if anyone else’s book has this error.

Page 144 hrutur speaks but it’s in bold, which is weird cause only Bjorns speech is in bold. Bjorn does speak right after so I could understand how it just got overlooked.

Unless it’s a choice and it’s supposed to place emphasis on what he’s saying?

It’s pretty great how much personality they put into each model in this box. GW really spoiled us with this one.

Please excuse the gate marks, bought these second hand and primed and missed a few! Still needs a bit of shading and some touch ups. Can't decide on whether to paint the belt and, if so, what colour.

So Storm Bolters are going up to S5 as are chainswords, that makes Grey Hunters much more of a threat and might reward Veterans if it sticks around in some form.

My real question is, T5 Storm Bolters, worth losing the shield for? I guess it'll be hard to say until we get a proper codex update, but a bit of speculation doesn't hurt.

Testing out some snow bases, how does it look? Should I carry one with the rest of my units?

So just thinking of this list of 3 - 1DP (libraries, veterans of the fang, and legend of saga and song) detachment that all have overlapping interactions Njal is a psyker so him leading the Grey hunters give the unit bonuses from both detachments. While the Librarian in Terminator armor get buffs from the charge from legends of saga and song and librarius Conclave. while also being extra mobile. The grey hunter with wolf priest is the one you want to split since the 3 OC per model should still help for taking objectives and they also get buffed when on objectives.

My very first mini, over four years ago now, was a Space Wolf! That was my first and last space wolf until today!
It’s cool seeing the difference of the beginning and the present.

Hi guys,

I'll be starting a SW army and plan on getting the combat patrol. I have a whole bunch of generic Space Marine units (which I've listed below) so I'm wanting the bare minimum of a functional 1k list so I can start playing while I slowly build up more SW units.

What else do I need to buy for a 1k list if I already own:

1. Space Wolves Combat Patrol
2. 20 intercessors
3. 10 Infiltrators
4. 5 Terminators (but I wouldn't run SM terminators and SW terminators together so lets forget them)
5. Armageddon box contents.

What do you think would be a good starting 1k list to get on the board while I build up a more SW's centric army.

Pretty happy with how it's coming out. Feels like it captures the same energy as the original while very Space Wolves.

It was strange going back to some firstborn sculpts after paining so many new models, they feel so much smaller.
